As mentioned before, there's a rail line and road between hotel and sea but if it was on the beach I would expect to pay much higher rates so it's no problem as far as I'm concerned. And yes, it's a tad tired about the edges but in this area to get luxury be prepared to pay for it.
Having read reviews of this hotel after booking it I was really worried we'd be disappointed as it didn't rate well. However, having stayed in 6 places during our trip to France this was our favourite even though we liked the others as well. There were 6 of us (2 adults, 4 children) and we booked a one-bedroom apartment with 2 double beds in the living area. It was perfect, spotlessly clean, lovely bathroom, great balcony. Alright, as previously mentioned, kitchen is locked up but we had our own gear from travelling around, cups, plates, cutlery, kettle, etc. so we'd no problem as we could still use the cooker, microwave and sink so it was ideal. The icing on the cake though was the pool. It's on the 4th floor and the views are incredible. We practically had the pool to ourselves the whole time we were there so the kids had a ball. Also, the 4 staff members we interacted with were each perfectly friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend it and probably go back ourselves again as it's a great spot to use to tour the area. We went to nearby Antibes (which has a great funfair - all enjoyed it more than Disneyland!!), Cannes, Nice and Monaco. Great spot!
