This renovated farmhouse is just 6 km from the Douaumont battlefields and the 1914-1918 War Memorial. You can pick berries from the guest house’s vegetable patch or read by the fireplace in the lounge. The rooms at Si Près des Prés have views of the garden and an en suite bathroom. Each one is decorated in an individual style and also includes a wardrobe and access to Wi-Fi in public areas. A continental breakfast is provided every morning and drinks are sold throughout the day. You can also pay to use the summer kitchen or order an evening picnic basket, complete with starter, cheese and dessert courses. Additional facilities at this guest house include a billiards table in the games room, while outside you can play basketball, volleyball and table tennis. There is also an on-site spa, accessible with an extra cost. Both Verdun and Fort de Vaux are 20 km from the property. Private parking is available with an extra cost. Bed and breakfast: 5 rooms

Great quiet location with a very friendly and helpful owner. Breakfast was great. The additional facilities are plentiful, gym, billard room, and use of garden. Basic English spoken, but adds to the adventure. Highly recommend if looking for a small town.

Very well placed for the Verdun battlefield, welcoming & friendly host (speaks little English but enough to get by), use of hot tub & sauna, super bar & restaurant within 100 mtrs.(les Authentique), very quiet location, good breakfast & great value for money!

Der Gastwirt Monsieur Müller ist unglaublich zuvorkommend und bemüht. So hat er uns nicht nur - obwohl wir nicht angekündigt waren - spontan ein 4-Gänge-Menu gezaubert, sondern auch unsere kleine Tochter mit Zaubertricks erfreut. Da er recht gut deutsch spricht, kann man sich gut mit ihm unterhalten. Er lebt für seine Gäste und das merkt man auch an den liebevoll eingerichteten Zimmern. Insgesamt kann man ihn und das Haus nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen, auch wenn man sich im Klaren sein muss, dass der Ort sehr idyllisch "in-the-middle- of nowhere" liegt.

L'amabilité de notre hôte et la situation de cette chambre d'hôte Et bien, nous pensions avoir réservé dans un hôtel. Aussi quelle surprise en constatant que c'était une chambre d'hôte ! nous aurions aimé que le votre site internet soit plus précis

Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit war Herr Müller. Man bekam viele Tips für die Ausflüge.Das Essen war sehr gut,auch die netten Tips bzw Rezepte. Haben viel von Frankreich und den Menschen durch Ihn erfahren n unseren Gesprächen mit ihm.Sehr Gastfreundlich!!! Sehr gerne fahren wir wieder dort hin. Auch für Deutsche sehr zu empfehlen,da man sehr gut auf Deutsch, sich mit Herrn Müller unterhalten kann. Es gab nichts was wir zu bemängeln hätten

Nous avons été surpris par le coin isolé mais bien situé par rapport à Verdun. (pas loin de cette ville) La campagne et surtout le calme idéal pour dormir. Par contre nous pensions que c'était un hotel. C'est une chambre d'hôtes. Je pense que c'est à préciser sur booking .com

Close to the Verdun WWI historical sites. Note that this is not a hotel, but a B&B. The owner has converted a section of his house into a B&B. The location was more isolated than I expected.
