We liked the meal we had in the evening. On the other side of the street is a supermarket. Very convenient. The breakfast was really oke

The view from the room, but that was not a problem

The staff were friendly and communicated in English. The dinner menu held a variety of dishes and was of good quality and reasonably priced.

    The carpark

The rude reception The corridors and room smelling of cigarette smoke The evening meal, some of which was inedible. One of the family suffered from food poisoning afterwards. One of the double beds sagged in the middle.

Staff very helpful and friendly. One of the couple is disabled and we asked for a disabled facility. This was provided and was excellent. Although slightly more expensive everything was provided so there were no steps to negotiate. Excellent. Nice and quiet area.

Typical french hotel, a type of french `faulty tower` hotel. Traditional french cuisine, the buffet included snails and french charcuterie. Rooms are cleans, the breakfast buffet was copious with croissants, cheese, ham and french baguette and butter

Good location and facilities for cycling. Good food. Comfortable.

Some of the wall were a bit thin, so noise can travel.

    Restaurant was excellent

Twin room was cramped, the evening was humid so we had the window open but could not sleep until the kitchen staff had finished clearing up due to the noise.

We could store our bicycles in a garage overnight. The owners were very kind.

The room and the hotel look very old fashion. The mattress was worn out and really uncomfortable. The room ceiling was lowered and the room itself was really small as a consequance it was too warm to sleep properly, but notwithstanding that, there were two TVs in the room.

The staff couldn't have been more lovely. Great breakfast and safe cycle storage in a locked garage.

We stayed 2 nights of our cycle trip. One night on the way to Paris and one of the way back. Both rooms we were given were terrible. The first faced the kitchen so it was noisy if we kept the window open and hot if not. It was also dark and smelt musty. We were also given this room for the second night but asked if we could change. The second room had windows 2 feet away from a wall so was also dark and stuffy. It smelt so bad we couldn't sleep. Not ideal for cycle recovery. The worst stay of our trip. Really wish we'd cancelled our booking after the first night but thought we'd just had bad luck with the room.

    Meals were excellent

Although on information sheet in room it showed breakfast starting at 6.30 on enquiry I was told it started at 8.00. This was too late for my ferry booking.

Friendly helpful staff. Good restaurant with simple and satisfying French fayre. We were the only diners (3) and I think they must have specially catered for us.

Room did not have much of outside view but that might have been because I requested bath en suite which was provided immediately.

We stopped off on day one of our cycle trip to paris. Bedrooms are a bit 1970's but very clean and amazingly powerful shower which was great. Highly recommend the restaurant at the hotel, quite traditional local French menu, good range and all very tasty They have a lockable garage were bikes can be stored

Very warm welcome. Excellent place to stay overnight as part of our London to Paris bike trip. Bikes safely locked away, excellent food (dinner and breakfast) and staff were great. It's a 2 star hotel so on that basis it is excellent value and I fully recommend it.

Convenience of a short drive from channel crossing.

Needs updating, tired decor, small cold bedroom with sharp edges to bed (mind your shins!) Very small bathroom, no windows and inefficient ventilation. Restaurant average.

We used the hotel as an overnight stop en route to the port. Although it was some way from the motorway, the countryside and villages make for a pleasant diversion. It was convenient to dine there and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the meal and good service.
