“ We really liked the hotel. Very nice and friendly staff. The room (we had room for 4) was very clean and well designed. We had our own kitchen and the supermaket was near by. Overall, very pleasant stay. ”

A cosy and friendly hotel in the heart of montmartre where we felt very comfy. It is very close to both the montmartre sights and a metrostation . We had a rather big and clean room with a modern bathroom ( great big shower). The pictures can really be trusted, considering the price we were really surprised to find a place like this. We would return there anytime... Maybe the walls where a bit thin... But that added to the parisian charm.....

The volume on the TV was set so low we couldn't hear it! Staff said volume was 'blocked' so as not to annoy others - however, the street noise was so loud it was sufficient to annoy anyone with a window overlooking that street. They had no printer to use to obtain our boarding passes for our flight. I've stayed in better hostals for less money where breakfast was included along with complete internet services - the TV was completely useless and the room was very small for 3 people.

Hotel itself was clean and comfortable. Location is near metro station but young females or couples with children may not feel safe walking the streets in this area. Felt obligated to take a cab from door to door so that we weren't walking the streets in the neighborhood. The staff member on duty didn't speak hardly any English and did not know where the parking garage was for the space I reserved. She gave me a clicker and suggested I go walk and click until a garage door opened for me which took about 20 minutes. Courtyard right outside room door was very loud up into the middle of night with people hanging out and smoking. Overall, the location is terrible especially if you want to see the main sights of Paris. I also feel for the price, you could get an equally clean hotel in a much better district of Paris.

We really liked the hotel. Very nice and friendly staff. The room (we had room for 4) was very clean and well designed. We had our own kitchen and the supermaket was near by. Overall, very pleasant stay. The neighborhood was kind of scary. It is a really good hotel but it was a bit dangerous for us (may be because we are 4 females). Be careful at metro!

The hotelstaff is pretty friendly (example: allowed us a later check-out time on our last day and stored our lugage untill the evening). The rooms are straightforward and tidy and the hotel is close to 3 metro- stations (on line 2 and 4) + close to the beautiful montmartre-area. Location is great (see above), but for the unexperienced traveller the area might look a little dodgy. No real safety issues though.

The hotel was clean and tidy, staff was friendly but only one person could speak fluent english. Close to the railway, underground and city. The hotel also had a private car park so we were happy that our car was safe. The neighbourhood was dubious. There is NO kettle provided in the room.

fantastic value for money and right next to a metro, which made seeing all the sights in Paris easy. The room was incredible considering the price. The Wifi connection was slow and not very reliable.

This was my second visit. The hotel is basic and very clean and everything works ! The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is excellent especially if you are coming into Gare du Nord. There's a supermarket at the end of the road and decent restuarants within walking distance. Some people might find the area around Barbes Rochochuart metro a bit intimidating.

This was a nice hotel. I was sceptical before arriving because of some bad revues on the hotel and the area. But the hotel is really close to the sacre ceure and all the nice shops in the area. I was traveling alone but never felt unsafe in the area! The metro station is a 2.minutewalk away and easy to get to. Hotel staf is really friendly and the rooms are nice. I did not eat at the hotel because you get such nice breakfast on the side walk cafes. I did not like the planket on top of the bed that was to be used as a duvet. It was looking a bit old and worn...

The staff were very friendly and very helpful. We spoke no French and they were able to speak English. They were able to answer all of our questions immediately. The room had everything we needed and was in a great location. The shower could have been a little warmer but was not unbearable.

From the moment we entered the hotel the staff showed themselves willing to put in that little bit more effort in a personal way. We needed water on our arrival late at night and were immediately given a bottle free of charge. When we were leaving they were unable to contact a taxi firm for us so a member of staff took us to the train station and told us how and where to get the train and tickets. The hotel is spotlessly clean with modern fitments. It does not have a phone in the room but in the days of mobile phones who needs one. Breakfast was very good value for the price.

The hotel was very clean , nice staff. We had the breakfast included and it was a good french breakfast (milk coffee , orange juice , croissant , bread , butter , some sort of yogurt , strawberry jam). For a 1 star hotel it was amazing , we didn´t expect much but we were wrong. The worst thing is the area where the hotel is located..absolutely scary. If you want to stay at this hotel I would recommend to use Anvers metro station and AVOID Barbes Roucherchouart metro station.

Good sized room ( rare in Paris at these prices) and a very "safe" feel to the place. The staff were excellent and could not do enough for us. Breakfast was a little disappointing but numerous cafes , shops around. The bed was great too.The location was ideal - literally around the corner from the foot of the Sacre Coeur Butte . The Metro , Barbes , is a very short walk away - but be aware - all human life gathers there. That said , the metro licks , lines 2 and 4 , take you to the main attractions. No wardrobes - making clothing storage a slight problem. Very good shower/toilet , but no hooks for wet towels- and no phone in the room ( not that one was needed ) The immediate area outside of the Hotel was a little rough , dirty and dusty , something that became more noticeable each day in comparison to the other areas visited , but safe nonetheless. Metro Barbe was surrounded by sellers of all manner of goods , but again , one soon accepts "normal life". And it isn't "threatening" , just different.

The hotel is a 10min walk from Gare du Nord and close to Montmartre. Friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean though spartan - seemed appropriate for the price. The lobby was spacious and bright and of modern design. The neighbourhood is sketchy but the hotel appeared to be safe and secure and someone is at the desk at all times. The breakfast was nothing special and a local cafe might be better value. No elevator. WI-FI available in the lobby but not in the rooms.

The location is excellent for exploring Montmartre but also near Barbes R. metro and just one stop from the Gare du Nord, so you have the village atmosphere of Montmartre and you can easily get to the Ile de la Cite . The Hotel is very clean and tidy and the rooms are cleaned every day and clean towels provided. The staff are really helpful and do speak English if you don't speak French. They were most helpful when I became ill and took me to a gp round the corner to get an appointment. The continental breakfast is adequate and includes a yoghurt and fruit is available. Our room was on the third floor of the old part of the hotel. There is no lift and it's a bit of a slog up the stairs. The newer rooms are opposite across the courtyard and you could feel a bit overlooked with the curtains opened.
