Internet in rooms was not very good. Safe neighborhood for solo traveler until after midnight, then it seemed a little less safe. I didn't mind the long winding staircase, but for someone who has problems with stairs it wouldn't work.
Staff was great, really helpful. I liked the neighborhood, seemed like it was Algerian or North African, the food was great. The hotel was very safe, good security. The room was nice and quiet, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely come back.
Parking costs €24 per day an additional cost not mentioned else where.
The room was ready not before than 4 o clock in the afternoon
Very close to barber metro station,at five minutes walking from monmatre
You cannot feel safe in the area, it's also very dirty around there. Watch your bags and I wouldn't recommend for single travellers. Thankfully we hadn't any bad experience, but we being there too girls didn't feel comfortable on streets, though I have no complaints about the hotel itself.
The room was basic but comfortable, there was very good shower. We were staying on the top floor which wasn't a problem for us young girls, but might be a problem for older people, someone overweight or with young children. Staff was very friendly and helpful, spoke some basic English. They let us to leave bags all day after check out. The breakfast was good too and included in price. There are few shops 1min from the hotel where you can get some food, drinks and some other stuff you might need from supermarket. Prices there are quite cheap. There are also bars, restaurants, Monmartre is in only 5mins walking distance. Metro stations are close to the hotel but we preferred to go to Anvers station not Barbes Rochechouart as it didn't feel safe at all around the second one. The area is good in terms on how close it is to main tourism objects, but it isn't the safest especially for single travellers.
We arrived at 3.30pm & the room was still being cleaned; when we finally got in one of the legs on the bed had fallen off. When we told the receptionist she didn't get off the phone but just asked if we'd tried to screw it back on and then handed us a key to the room opposite. Later that night the leg fell off the bed in the room we were in; slept at an angle and took a look underneath the following morning. All of the legs were hanging off the bed! We reported it to the same receptionist the next morning at 11am but when we returned to the hotel, at gone midnight, we discovered the bed had been made up but the leg was still off. The night porter was very helpful and moved us again and helped with the luggage.
We rebooked to stay at the Sofia again because they have excellent secure parking. The area is not that nice but there are a couple fantastic restaurants we like just 10 mins walk
Ive stayed in Paris a few times in the Montmartre area and by far this was the best value for a hotel we have ever come across. Does exactly what it says on the tin and is close to everything. Will definitely be going back and have just helped friends book a stay here.
Wished we had known about the stairs Very narrow and twisty and had to get 4 large cases up. No lift. Had to wait for breakfast. lots of noise throughout the night We were a family of 6 two who were 71yr olds and two were children
Clean rooms is all we can say Lady member of staff was very good and extremely helpful
The room was a little cold but we slept really well.
I liked how the receptionist helped to figure out how to get into the garage parking when the remote did not work correctly. He came and walked us into the garage and talked to the security to help get us in.
I reserved the bookings with two rooms but was informed only one available when arrived.
No elevators, no wifi in the room
Very friendly and helpful staffs
No kettle Made to pay on arrival Made to hand key in Room Door left open by staff Price- hotel prices are ridiculously high- Paris is almost the same as London for a tenth of the attraction.
No elevator & narrow stairwell.
The bathroom is fancy.
the room was stinky.
Nothing. No elevators.
Nothing really, a nice place to stay at the price.
The location although in a predominantly black area, had a few nice bars and fast food as well as good quality establishment's in walking distance. And the Metro only 5 minutes walk away.
area between the metro station and the hotel didn't seem safe, lots of police presence, several arguments in the street while we were there. We would not stay there again because of this which is a pity as the hotel itself was really good.
Hotel itself located in a nice street friendly staff clean and tidy quiet
5 minute walk from metro stop Staff extremely friendly & helpful Hotel modern, clean & close to amenities Spacious rooms Fantastic quality for room rates
Cheapish for Paris
Dragging luggage up the many stairs. Cigarette smoke drifting in our window, which was our only source of fresh air.
Good location. Friendly, helpful staff. Pleasantly not the "big hotel" experience, as we felt like we were staying in a Paris flat.
the surounding area around is not very nice and looks very rough.
The staff was very helpfull and very kind and the price was very good.
The location was in an extremly bad area even though the sacre coeur was minutes away there were a large ammount of gangs on streets and dodgy people trying to accost us. As a group of three young girls this was very intimidating
Hotel itself is fine, clean, comfortable and staff are friendly
lining up for breakfast
cleanliness, friendly staff
No elevators if you big bags you will be in trouble taking your lougage through a spiral narrow staires.
Closed to metro station gare de nord
Nosso quarto teve um vazamento misterioso no teto que durou somente um dia.Por este desconforto deveriam ter nos oferecido um cafe da manha gratis.
Localizacao, limpeza, check in e check out rapidos.
There was no lift or air on and we had to carry suitcases up a spiral staircase. The windows opened only a centre courtyard where every sound echoed into our room. Smokers used the courtyard, hence our room was noisy and filled with smoke. It was close to zone 17 which apparently is not a safe area and in these times of danger to uk travellers we needed to be extra careful. Taxi drivers warned us and some overcharged or went the long way to the hotel.
It was modern and clean and reasonably priced.
The hotel is located not far from the metro but up a poorly lit side street which is litter strewn and stinks of urine. The metro link and road leading to Sofia had numerous groups of gangs which were extremely intimidating. The room was very basic, no air con, no hairdryer and unable to leave the windows open during the night due to the roof of the adjoining building running direct to our window making it very possible to enter. The bathroom window was clear glass and very overlooked. Breakfast was less than basic and we were shouted at to advise what we wanted to drink. We will certainly Never Return!!!
