Sofitel Dijon La Cloche  

Check in at 15.00 room was not ready had to wait. Receptionist was not helpful. Room quiet small bathroom not clean. Bathtub damaged. Bed very soft and unconfortable. No turndown the first night. Bo smell from houskeeper in the room. Room next to stair and lift so very noisy. I do not recommend this hotel. Le chapeau rouge is much better and have new modern rooms.

The breakfast was not that great - the eggs were tasteless, breads a little stale and breakfast items were not refilled (even there as 40 minutes still left of breakfast service and guests were still coming down for breakfast).

Great king-size bed & panoramic view of the Place d'Arcy, great old building - close to the l'Imprimerie. The must-have-visited cafe for bookworms - steps from the Walk of the Owl through the old town of Dijon and boutiques - bus stop in front of hotel (1$ busfares for 1 hr) - walking distance to the "Halles" where you can have great oyster breakfasts and lunches, a polite & nice hotel manager and well-trained, helpful staff in the mornings - very good restaurant in the hotel, pricey but good, romantic, elegant, ... Great lobby - great meeting room for presentations or seminars, good breakfast for €20 P.P. ... despite huge street & subway construction in front of the hotel, it is easy to reach by car and in walking distance of station.

Missing a nice wellness area - only 1 small sauna, just enough place for a couple - no place (!) to lay down and relax after the sauna - small broken shower next to it - fitness room adjacent - sauna aires out into the fitness room. Forget about it. Afternoon & evening staff just took the phone of the hook, not helpful to hotel guests! Phone always busy! The afternoon crew promised to deliver informations about bus schedules, they never did despite large tips. You always had to walk down to reception for any answers or help. Minibar in our hotel-room was hot. We were told it was like this in the whole hotel. Get your drinks from room- service. Asked to have the roll-out minibar changed, did not happen. Asked for broken bulb in the garage changed, did not happen.

The staff was extremely helpful in managing the separate arrival of two members of our party. The location was ideal, the breakfast room was very agreable. We choose he hotel also because it could offer in house parking places

On site parking & the hotel's position as it is walking distance to the church & old part of town. Be careful using booking.com as I selected a classic double room but that is meant for one person not two... The hotel was very gracious & had another room for us at the same rate, which I greatly appreciated. The staff were lovely & helpful.

Breakfast was expensive so we didn't eat there.

Audrey at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and very clean. The staff all spoke English too.

Breakfast was extremely disappointing for a hotel of this category, as well as the lack of possibilities to get a late snack at tha bar.

Way too expensive as in any other French hotel... Towels were gray, there were spots on bed sheet... It was probably the best hotel in Dijon however it shouldn't worth 200 something Euros a night...

Reception were so helpful and friendly , recommending restaurants , directions etc.

Room was quite hot, air con struggled in very hot weather.

The staff were professional and friendly, the room very comfortable. Otherwise the hotel looks tired and unloved and not particularly well kept, rather unappealing.

Great staff, good location, car parking very convenient, lovely old hotel. Reception team excellent.

Could be a little cleaner, rooms a little dated - some have been refurbished.

The staff was very helpful and highly professional. The restaurant is also very good - certainly haute cuisine, and the service was top notch
