The kindness of the staff, the Spa and the Brasserie. And also the comfort of the superior room which I booked. The cost of 5 euros for just 15 minutes of internet through the Business Center. Exaggerated!

We were made very welcome right from our arrival. The staff were so friendly & helpful - nothing was a problem. The bed was so unbelievably comfortable we found it hard to get up in the morning! A must is an evening drink in the bar on the 8th floor - gorgeous view & nice ambience. We had a lovely room with a fabulous view of the Rhone river & the location of the hotel for sightseeing was perfect. We will definitely return! We could not fault anything with this hotel or the staff. We ate in the Silk Brasserie one night & even the food & service there were exceptional!

Very good service around check-in Concierge forgot dinner reservation and simply did not get back. 'Eco- friendly' shower not satisfactory for a 5 star hotel - way to little water pressure for warm water.

The hotel was in a great location in Lyon with good views of the Rhone River. Desk staff was professional and very helpful. The hotel does not have the feel of a multiple star hotel. Furniture needs a re-do.

The staff were just wonderful. It began even before I was officially a guest. My husband was in hospital in Lyon, so I had to stay longer than planned. The Sofitel organized for a driver from the Sofitel to come and pick me, the car and our luggage up and take us to the hotel. They got me into a room at 10 am so I could then visit the hospital. They were wonderful. The hotel was like a haven during this difficult time. It was a wonderful oasis when my husband was discharged to help him get back on his feet before we moved on. Our room was lovely, the staff were so helpful, the restaurants were lovely and breakfast was great! The hotel was close to the shops and attractions. It was also just a lovely walk across the bridge to the hospital!

Fantastic lobby with loungy ambiance. Extremely friendly staff, congrats for that and perfect location. Price/ Quality hard to beat. Queuing for breakfast and too long waiting time for elevator.

good location, right next to the Rhône river, and walking distance to shopping area. newly renovated room is nice n modern, with ipod dock. very comfortable beds & pillows. free mini bar & free wifi is a plus. remember to ask for a renovated room! the room we were first given was old n dark on the 6th floor, which looks nothing like the website photos. After talking to the front desk, they did manage to switch us to a newly renovated room on the 1st floor. Also, the window was very dirty, which is such a shame since it's supposed to be a room with river "view".

The staff were friendly and helpful and we got a really good restaurant recommended for dinner, which the hotel reserved for us. We didn't like: the cramped bedroom, the cramped bathroom, the over- priced breakfast, the expensive parking, and that the restaurant was closed on the Sunday evening of our stay.

The staff was very helpful and friendly, especially the concierge helped us a lot. Unfortunately only the lobby and the first three floors had been refurbished. I had a room on 5th floor which still had the old smelly hallways. The suite however was well maintained for its age! Refurbishments for the rest of the hotel will happen by next summer, as the guest relations manager let me know.
