I visited Nantes for a rowing event and spent one night here. Could not have been better for me- location was perfect- quiet room overlooking the beautiful Botanical gardens, well equipped room with good shower facility and crisp linen. Loved the general vibe with bright colours and the conversion itself is fabulous. The breakfast was fantastic- exquisite food beautifully presented and the staff were incredibly helpful regarding what to see in Nantes( there is masses to do including the castle museum which is one of the best museums Ive visited). I look forward to returning to the hotel and the city.

Nothing!! It was just perfect for me and great value.

staff quality of food cleanliness Friendliness

bed was uncomfortable, particularly on left hand side (room 307) Air con is maintained from front desk so you can't control it without contacting them. Air con also has a very very bright light that makes it difficult to sleep for light sleepers I expected a better, more beautiful room as I had paid for the middle quality. It felt like a basic room.

The wonderful old Church has been carefully converted and provides a very solid settled atmosphere. Millen (receptionist) was an absolute delight & was so helpful. Parking was on site. WC in separate cubicle.

Windows above head height & low lighting made it very dark in the room, particularly difficult for applying make up! There was too little storage space, hanging space again minimal - a jacket couldn't hang freely never mind a dress and surfaces for placement of items too minimal. Bed was practically wedged across the room allowing approx 30 cm passing space at the end. Along with the current fashion the bath & sink sat in a corner of the room. Air conditioning controlled by Reception so a call was needed if adjustments were required.

    Breakfast and great staff

Air conditioner so close to our heads. The cold air blowing onto our ears was not good!

Beautiful chapel hotel with modern interior. Reception and breakfast area were jaw dropping when you walk in. The location is just beside well maintained gardens and within walking distance to huge chapels and the main castle. Bikes are a great addition in the city if you want to explore further for 1 euro per hour just outside the gardens. Main square in the city is about 25 minutes walk.

The room was very small and the bathroom I felt was not keeping with the hotel style. Shower was very very poor. No control in the room for air con. I had a design room where the main arch brickwork led up to the high ceilings, really nice when you look up but easily forget where you are when you don't. I would have liked the bigger room but very expensive. Nice experience all the same though.

super hotel in a church, we felt welcome and special every minute in the hotel (never felt that way in a hotel), very quiet, super service The best hotel ever we experienced, we could even give them our bottle of champaigne to cool down and got it back in a bucket of ice and 2 glasses :-)

    minibar is missing

breakfasts and staff were fabulous. Location was terrific if you are travelling by train. small room but well though out... liked that the window opened.

not a lot of places to put luggage... the shower door leaked... thus the floor was stained, this will impact longevity of fittings in the room.

An unusual building and very well converted. Bed and furnishings (including towels) etc. all of the finest quality. Very comfortable and staff extremely helpful

It was a bit of a treck to town (20 mins) but the trams solved this as they were very frequent.

Sozo was just wonderful - a tranquil retreat just a few minutes from the craziness of a busy railway station. All the staff were charming and did everything they could to make me feel welcome and advise me about taxis and the best ways to cope when taxis weren't an option. I'd asked for a room with plenty of natural light and was delighted with my beautiful high, arched window. Breakfasts were superb and no extra charge for having them served in the bedroom - best fresh fruit salad ever. A delightful respite after really busy days.

The only problem I had was the fact that the hotel was on the North of the station and access from the South was through an underground passage - not great late at night and the alternative was a long walk or a taxi.

The decor was delightful - the bed comfortable.

The room was so small that we could not open our luggage except on the bed. The shower doors did not contain the water and because the floors all sloped toward the bedroom area the whole room was literally awash before the first shower was complete. In the result much of the luggage got wet. My husband did not take a shower since the room was already flooded. When I explained this to the desk clerk he said he was sorry and that he must speak to the manager but did not offer to allow me to speak to the manager. Instead he noted that his colleague had loaned us an adaptor the night before and where was it. We advised where had we had left it in the room. At no time was there any offer of recompense for the appalling conditions created by the very badly designed shower. I would be disinclined to recommend the hotel or to return myself to the hotel based on our experience there. It was certainly not at all close to the standard we have come to expect when we have paid for much more.

the staff was super friendly, very helpfull in indicating us what to see and where to go with very good advice for restaurants, bars..the hotel is beautifull, very original, nice boutique design hotel

I thought the room, that was a superior was a bit small for the price, even if it was very nicely decorated

I liked the staff who were very helpful and friendly the room was comfortable but didn't bear much resemblance to the photographs on the site.

The hotel doesn't serve meals in the evening so you are forced to walk out.
