The genuine welcome from ALL of the staff, including patron and wife - nothing was too much trouble. We stayed there twice this month,2 days at the very beginning of our holiday and the final 2 before departure, 3 weeks later. Finding that my wife was disabled resulted in us being allocated a room on the ground floor - air conditioned and en suite. A substantial breakfast was served individually, including baguette, brioche, quality croissant, fruit juice, plain yoghourt, compote, jams and honey, eggs, cheese and fresh fruit and your choice of hot drink. Valuables and passports could be left in safe keeping (to avoid carrying them during the bustling "Fete de la Musique" crowds) and there was ready advice to choose the most suitable place to eat out, from the many within the walls of the City. We were even able to leave items in safe keeping, to be collected when we returned. Soft drinks and beer are available from Reception. We were even able to get my wife's gel pack heated (in the microwave) or chilled (in the freezer). Examples of the patron's hobby (photography) are framed on the dining room wall.
Location, for us, was excellent - a few hundred yards from Avignon Centre Station, the Tourist Information Office and a most pleasant Park, with seats under the plane trees. We believe this established Hotel has earned its 2 stars and have every intention of staying there again.
