Splendid Etoile  

The location and staff were excellent. The rooms were a bit outdated

Incredible location, price-quality ratio tops. Although the hotel is ata very central location on a major avenue, it is quiet and safe as well. Don't forget to use Air France shuttle service from airport to hotel, it takes 45 mins and better than taxi, bus stop is 20 meters across the hotel. There is also a cafe/rest named Le Vin Cœur (Heart of Wine) acroos the street, full of local people in the evenings.

Ask for a room with balcony, or a view to see Etoile. Have a nice stay.

Perfect location

Aircon is off during the winter.. It was warm inside and the staff simply said that it's the hotel policy not to operate ACs throughout the whole winter season!! That was quite disappointing to us!!

bed a little bid to hard

A solid performer without being amazing. This is a 4 star, and is not pretentious. We paid £200 per room per night and we though this was fair in comparison to some of the places weve stayed in Paris before. Location is 200m from the Arc de Triumph. Superior room is large and had a lovely view of the Arc. Staff helpful in the main and they offered for us to keep opur case until we left for the station.

Breakfast was a hot and cold buffet and this (hot buffet) was a little limited. They did not appear to want to cook eggs to order which we found strange and there was no menu. Lack of porterage at the hotel to help with bags etc. A lack of atmosphere,fairly quiet hotel.

Location and price was reasonable as booked last minute.

Felt that staff would prefer we spoke French then English. Felt little pressured to book tours through concierge (which was at a much higher price than organising ourselves online).

Convenience and quality

Small elevator, limited room service menu.

Super room - we were upgraded to a suite on arrival and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

Location was perfect!

The location is perfect. 100m til Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees, 30 min walking distance to Eiffel Tower. Just around corner there is a restaurant Salon de Cristal with fantastic quiche, creme brule, onion soup, steak and good white wine Chardonnay and red wine Bordeaux.

Elevators are very small. The breakfast is 25EUR hence I recommend eating at Salon de Cristal.

The location is great. Close to the Arc and to the shopping district. Plus there is a metro literally outside the hotel which makes traveling around Paris that much easier. The concierge, Arthur was exceptionally helpful. Explained how to get where ever I needed to go very well and also cheerfully made bookings for me and my daughters. I will definitely stay here again :)
