Splendid Hotel  

Sehr netter Empfang, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und steht für Fragen zur Verfügung. Die Lage des Hotels ist für eine Städtereise optimal. Unser Zimmer war sauber, ruhig und mit guten Betten ausgestattet. Immer wieder gerne.

Sehr aufmerksamer Service, sehr sauberes und frisch renoviertes Zimmer, gutes Frühstücksbufet, ideale Parkmöglichkeit in Tiefgarage 50 m entfernt, bis morgens 8.00 Uhr gebührenfrei.

The location was convenient to the lake and the old section of town. The public spaces (breakfast area and lounge) were attractive and well appointed and are probably fabulous when it's sunny. The room was large, and the bathroom well equipped. Because the hotel pays for night parking, the parking costs were reasonable, and the lot itself was very convenient. For some reason, we were charged less than the booking.com rate.

The room was terribly dark. At our request they brought us a standing lamp, but reading in bed was still difficult. The room was also somewhat noisy since its one window opened on to the very busy boulevard that runs in front of the hotel. Breakfast at 13.5 euros per night per person seemed expensive. We ate elsewhere.

obviously an old hotel but very well refurbished. staff friendly and everywhere was very clean. centrally located, right opposite the lake and good for visiting the town. The hotel pays for overnight parking in a nearby car park.

the only problem was that we arrived mid saturday afternoon and all town car parks were full. we had to leave the car half hours walk away but were able to move it after 7pm to a carpark close to the hotel.

We recently spent a delightful two days at the Splendid Hotel. We arrived by train and the hotel was an easy walk from the station. Our room, on the front facing the canal and the lake, was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The bathroom was immaculate and spacious with a wonderful shower and jetted tub. Our concern about the busy road in front of the hotel was pointless because the double-glazed windows effectively blocked all the traffic noise. The location of the hotel was perfect - an easy walk to the lake, the old city or the shopping area. The staff was great! Amel and Christiane in reception were both extremely courteous and helpful, yet friendly and willing to answer any questions we had. They also had wonderful suggestions for nearby restaurants. The breakfast buffet, served in a room with a lovely view, offered a wide selection that easily fueled us for a day of exploration around the city. The women there (Irene and Catherine) were efficient and kept everything looking good but were also willing to help with my attempts at French and chat about the area. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the Splendid Hotel and will certainly stay here on any return trips to Annecy.!

The location is perfect.

Reception staff who were always courteous & friendly & prepared to answer our tourist type questions & provide helpful advice. Fantastic breakfast served by polite, cheerful staff in lovely surroundings. Our room was extremely comfortable & the hotel well located for an overnight stay - close to old city, shopping, restaurants & train station. Parking nearby was a bonus.

Staff are friendly and reception area is nice. Disappointed with room though.

Dark room with no view, very noisey with poor sound proofing from other guests. (floorboards instead of carpet doesn't help.) WIFI didn't work in room, had to log in from hallway.

The hotel was excelent! Great staff, great breakfast and a perfect location in the center of annecy! Fabulous view of Lac d'annecy! Very recommended!

The bath tab plumbing could be a bit simpler. It took us a while to find out how it functions - and it did not work perfectly well.

Great Location

It was so classy for the price, fittings, furniture, paintings and so on, not sure how there star ratings work but in A ustralia it would more be more than three. Great place to stay, highly recommend.

You have to be joking

It was in an excellent position for exploring Annisy.

It was a pity breakfast wasn't included in the price, also an evening meal option would have been very good. We asked the receptionists about buses, opening times etc. and they had no knowledge of them. You should at least have details of this sort of thing so they can help customers.

Unfriendly staff. Just one example: Upon checking in we were given wrong key to our room (room 405 on the 5th floor) and couldn't get in for 20min. or so. It took 3 trips up and down to convince the receptionist that it was the wrong key, not us not knowing how to open the door to the room. Very meager flow of water in the bathroom shower.

Nos ha gustado su ubicación muy centrico frente al lago.La habitación estaba bastante bien para ser un tres estrellas en Europa.El desayuno no lo teníamos contratado pero en los bajos de hotel hay una cafetería estupenda. El hotel tiene concertado un parking próximo y a buen precio.

Great staff, and location. Nice clean room, and ammenities, albeit a tad small. Would recommend, and stay again.
