I've been several times in Annecy, but this is the best hotel I found. I had been staying also at the famous Palais de l'Isle but it's not that nice, rooms are very small and staff and service not so nice. Splendid is splendid as the name, the Staff very helpful and very nice, they are willing to attend you with any issue. I had to print out the boarding card and no problem, I needed a taxi for Geneva, no problem...they gave me a room facing the lake even with a normal rate, there was some fruit as a gift from the Management. The Breakfast room and bar are very nice by the window in front of the lake, and there is the terrace too. The room was very very confortable. Ah, the most important thing, the wifi is very fast and free!!!! Nothing. I travel around the world and this is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. |

conveniently located, you have the right to free parking from 7pm to 8am in a nearby (100m) covered park. Then you have to pay or move the car to the parking lot serving the boat cruises. We found the parking solution cheaper than comparable hotels. We didn't took the breakfast at the hotel as it seemed too expensive. We found nice cafes nearby and had a cheaper and excellent breakfasts there. |

Excellent location in the heart of Annecy. Staff were fabulous. We stayed in a room with 2 small balconies with fantastic views of the town. beds are not very comfortable and the rooms are small but the reasonable prices masde up for this. |

A pleasant location in Annecy, close to the old city. The mattress was hard and lumpy, the room decor was nice and it was clean but the mattress did not match the effort made for a nice hotel - a simple fix. The elevator was broken, not a big deal. The loading zone in front of the hotel was taken up with several cars parked there for extended periods and the staff did not have them removed but did have one moved back, not an adequate response for the area's needs. |

Helpful english speaking staff. We had a room on the back of the hotel away from the street. Very, very and quiet clean. The location on the canals and close to the lake front park area is fantastic. All the shopping and pretty canal area is just around the corner. Parking at the Hotel de Ville underground parking ramp was very convienent and an easy walk across the street from the hotel. There are lots of nearby places to eat breakfast. We did not eat at the hotel. We arrived early from an international flight and were able to check in before noon. We were very happy with our stay at Hotel Splendid. |

location and free internet in room they had a lack of staff. the bar was not open for a drink at all in the evening. we arrived after a 15 hour journey needed a drink and they said they could not open the bar due to lack of staff. They made no offer to make a drink and dont have tea/coffee in the bedrooms. |

location for perfect for us, within the city, near the old city and lake. staff was superb, helpful and their English was inpeccable. room was clean and large enough. hotel was quiet even tho we faced the main avenue. Like everything, however the TV did not work in our room (303) and we were moved to room 305, 303 had a wonderful view of the lake, 305 did not. I feel that I should have requested a comparable room in terms of the view. |

The location was superb,hotel was crisp,clean tastefully decorated.Multi languistic staff which was most charming , friendly and helpful. We just came in from Geneva where we stayed at a 5 star Hotel and found that Hotel Splendid was just as elegant but all for 1/2 the price!! Will definately stay at Splendid again! We would have liked to receive a second room key but this was against hotel policy which made coming and going independently for the two of us rather cumbersome having to leave the hotel key at the front desk for the other person, and made the hotel look rather antiquated which it truly was not. Wished they would change the locks to comform with modern standards. Wished the Bar would have been staffed all the time during hours of operations...rather then inconveniencing the front desk staff for a drink. |

The Splendid hotel was perfectly located with beautiful views of the mountains and the lake. Very close to good shopping and dining and many recreational activities around the park and lake. The staff was exceptionally helpful and pleasant. I shared a room with my teenage son and did not like that the bathroom door was glass. Also the keys and door knobs were a bit hard to use. |

The hotel is located right in the centre of the old city near the lake. The rooms are standard and very clean.The problem is that when you book a standard room you will get a room that faces a narrow courtyard that's why it's always very dark inside. As we were during the weekend the staff at the reception couldn't give us another room of a higher category. So when making the booking in this hotel be careful and try to avoid the standard option. Make the better description of rooms' categories |
