In the heart of the 16th-district of Paris, this modern hotel features private parking on site and a shaded terrace on the grounds. It is just over 1 mile from the Eiffel Tower.
Score from 530 reviews Good
Location was perfect. Metro station 200m walk. Close to cafes. 5min walk to Eiffel Tower. Views of ET from room. Laundry nearby. English speaking staff friendly and most helpful.
-Stayed in superior room, expecting a bit better service and cleaner room. But I found bottle cork under baggage chair, put it on survey paper in room and handled personally at reception. There was no apology,no recognition. If we ignore the problem-it doesn`t exist? I can only imagine the cleanness in classical rooms. -Second disappointment was pre-authorized credit card payment for 1 night, authorized 5 days before arriving at hotel (policy stated free cancellation until 1day before check in) After check out from hotel and countless e-mails I had to wait for 1,5 weeks to get my money back.Chef de reception even wrote e-mail saying that I didn`t stay at this hotel.Very poor management, rude and unkind.NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!
The receptionists were extremely helpful, location-wise is good, and has best value for money in the region.
Great location , close to many great resturants and the metro. Will definitely stay here next time I go to Paris!
very good location
The staff at this hotel especially Chris & Vincent went out of their way and was very helpful and accommodating. The hotel is 2 minutes’ walk from Ecole Militaire Metro station. The room we had (204), had a lovely view of the Eiffel Tower which is only a 10 minute walk through the park. The room was nice and clean. Some people may say it’s too small but it was sufficient. Had a double bed and I had a very comfortable sleep. The bathroom is very small but it was clean and the shower was the perfect pressure. You have to hand your key in every time you leave the hotel for safe keeping.
There is no tea/coffee facilities in your room. There is a cost for Wifi (€5 for 24hrs) it only connects to one device at a time. The TV only had one channel. The rest of the channels were frozen
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. As it was our first time in Paris this was great as we walked the city as much as we could and always new to head to the Eiffel Tower to head home.
Nothing as the staff were great
The staff was nice, and the location was great- we loved to stick our heads out the window to view the magnificent Eiffel Tower!
Everything else. The hotel interior is extremely dated and plain. You have to pay for the wifi. The bathroom had mold around the bathtub. You weren't even allowed to eat in your room (unless it was breakfast from there, or from the minibar)! The location/view is not worth the amount paid per night...
Obviously the location is wonderful. Our room had a view of the tower from the balcony but not from the room itself, but it was still great. However, the best thing about the hotel is Vincent. We had multiple problems with our phone, tickets, etc, and Vincent went above and beyond to help me locate an international phone card I could use to call home to fix everything. He did more than I can write here, and he made our time in Paris enjoyable. I can't praise him enough.
The short, dark-haired clerk on duty before Vincent was much less helpful, interested only in trying to help the money leave my pocket. First he was "kind" enough to tell me that I could use the internet for 30 minutes at a price of 2 euros, but didn't mention that I could have unlimited usage for 5 euros. Then when I asked about finding a phone card, he said I could try but it would be easier to just use the hotel phone to dial directly and it would "only cost 1 or 2 euros." Desperate, I decided to try and used the international number provided in the room. When I got through to an operator I asked how much a call would cost to upstate ny and he said $48 for 3 minutes. Uh, yeah, thanks anyway. Avoid the little man with the big lies.
The view from our room, with a small balcony, was amazing. Great location, close to bistros, bars and restaurants as well as many of the major attractions. The staff were very friendly and our room was very comfortable.
This is a what I would term a budget hotel, but it was beautifully clean, very comfortable but had very few of the luxuries.
friendly staff, nice bars nearby, just mins from Eiffel tower, very close to Metro, very close to Carrefour, easy to find
rooms small decor a bit tired, some wallpaper peeling off walls very thin doors to rooms
EVERYTHING the very helpful staff location and especially our room on the 5th with perfect view of Eiffel Tower absolutely brilliant. Thanks to all the staff at splendid hotel tour eiffel
It was near a metro station which made it easy access to all Paris sights. There are great cafés around it. You have a nice view of the Eiffel Tower every day as you begin your day. The staff speaks English well and is friendly. The rooms were clean.
They take your key every time you leave - this isn't really a problem, but good to know beforehand or it is a bit of a weird experience. You have to pay extra if you want a room with a view. The safe in our room didn't have a lock.
Location was fantastic! Great view of upper 2/3 of Eiffel Tower from our window (looking left). Easy walking distance from Eiffel and River Seine. Moderate walk to Champs Elysee and Arc de Triumph. Cheap taxi ride to Louvre museum and Notre Dame. Very helpful staff, especially Herve-Luc and Firuz.
Worst of all was the micro-size bathroom! Perhaps ideal for small children, hobbits, and contortionists, but normal-sized adults must remove pants completely before attempting to sit on this ridiculously placed toilet. The tub/shower is very small and partially hidden by a wall, so cleaning staff must actually get fully inside the tub in order to properly clean the end with the fixtures... which they obviously do not as evidenced by the noticeable mold growing in several spots on the tile grout back there. The hand-held shower head is broken where it attaches to the wall bracket, making it impossible to have a hand's free shower. The tub faucet is clearly the rarest model in existence, for it's the only one I've ever seen that shifts the water flow from faucet to shower head by using the FAUCET ITSELF AS A LEVER!! There is a small sign, as well as small-print instruction in the hotel guide informing guests of this, but easy to miss. Just stupid, really. Put in simple, universal fixtures, dummies. Apparently, most Europeans don't believe in washcloths... or hair conditioner for that matter, and the Hotel Splendid is no exception. Just hand towels and the usual undersized bath towels. The hair dryer attached to the wall looks so much like a vacuum cleaner one would find at a self-serve car wash that I began looking for where to insert the coins to turn it on. Maybe they got a good deal on them from the old Soviet Union. Who knows. We truthfully found larger bathrooms on some of the high-speed trains we used to GET to Paris than in this hotel. Not. Kidding. The room was small, but workable. Besides the NASA-sized toilet, our biggest pet peeves were the nickel-and-dime fees charged by this hotel for services that ALL OTHER HOTELS give you for free, to wit: a 5-Euro per day charge for WiFi (no thanks), and a 3-Euro per day charge for use of the rooms extra-dinky, low-tech room safe, (also declined).
We had a lovely room with a balcony, but make sure you email the hotel in advance to request such a room. A 5 minute walk to Eiffel Tower and easy access on the metro; lovely restaurants nearby too.
Rooms are rather small; but seems to be the norm in Paris.
I loved the view of the Eiffel tower at night. Stunning. The staff was very friendly, extremely helpful and went out of their way to assist us with our many questions. The room we had was small, but comfortable enough for my daughter and I. We had to pay for Internet use as well, which I knew beforehand, but we were given 2 codes so we could use both of our tablets. Overall I was happy with the hotel, the staff and the location. The 7th arrondissement is a fairly safe area of Paris and I felt comfortable walking around past dark, enjoying the Parisian nightlife.
I wasn't impressed that we had to rent a lock for the safe. I didn't like that we had to pay for Internet use. Even though the hotel is non smoking, people still smoked in their rooms, which wafted into the hallways, but this was the case all over Europe, as we soon found out. It isn't policed in European hotels as it is in North America.
Location, helpful staff
Boring small rooms
We could walk to anywhere. Not too noisy at night it grew on us after a while
Paint work dated No tea making facilities in room room small bathroom very dated and shower no pressure fridge / mini bar not cold
Ubicación excelente.Vista extraordinaria.

very friendly staff new and clean bathroom
Lovely staff excellent location super comfortable bed quite hotel
Very friendly and helpful staff.Superb location.Reasonable sized room.
Like many similar hotels in Paris the hotel is rather worn around the edges and could do with a freshen up and a refit .That is not to say that it is not very clean-just a little threadbare.
Proximity to museums and historical areas & shopping
My sisters room didn't have a proper hair dryer
