The hotel’s location is amazing – just a minute from the metro (Anvers) so very easy to access anywhere in Paris. We were lucky enough to get a room with a view - a small balcony and looking across to the Eiffel Tower. The hotel is in a square which seemed mostly residential, so it was very peaceful in the evening. We stayed for 3 nights and, although the room was small, it was comfortable and always clean. The hotel staff were friendly – a different person each night, but the same person working days. The day receptionist was very helpful and happily filled our water bottles each morning before we set off. There are lots of restaurants within easy walking distance, so plenty of choice for dining. If you want somewhere different to the hotel for breakfast, try the cafe on the corner of the square (Les Oiseaux) – fabulous coffee and croissant. For dinner, try La Marmite (walk towards Pigalle). Hôtel du Square d'Anvers is a hotel to use as a base for seeing Paris – the rooms may be small, but we only needed somewhere to sleep so it was perfect for the needs of my son (13) and I. We will definitely return. Highly recommended. On our last night a couple with a baby had moved into the room next to ours and we discovered just how thin the walls were! Fortunately, not a major issue as the baby went to sleep fairly quickly.

Hotel is just off the Boul. de Clinchy and Boul. de Rochechouart which is the home of the Moulin Rouge and close to the Basilique Du Sacre-Coeur. Within walking distance of Gare Du Nord train station and the metro lines. Excellent overall location. Loads of shops and restaurants. Staff were friendly and polite. Excellent hotel for our 4 day city break. Our hotel room had a direct view of the Eiffel tower from our balcony, this was an added bonus and a special touch we thought. The hotel rooms aren't top notch executive, so dont expect anything special. It was clean, and fresh towels delivered each day. Matress on bed was a little firm for my liking, but thats not a criticsm.

The hotel’s location is amazing – just a minute from the metro (Anvers) so very easy to access anywhere in Paris. We stayed for 5 nights and, although the room was small, it was comfortable and always clean. The hotel staff were friendly. French breakfast is a bit boring, still the same - jams and marmalades, poor cheese only.

Good value for money. Very close to metro (Anvers). Square is rather silent and full of blooming chestnut trees. Lift although small, works properly. Friendly English speaking personnel. Room cleaned perfectly every day, although small was more comfortable that London hotels of similar class. Good connection with airports (transfer on Gare du Nord) - 1 hr from cdg. I do not regard rooms as noisy. We stayed for 1 week. Breakfast croissants and baguettes always fresh, brought directly from nearest brasserie. French breakfast is a bit boring, still the same. We avoid jams and marmalades, could eat cream cheese only (no fromages).

We liked the close proximity to the Metro. The staff are polite and helpful. The original shutters of the window. The Morrocan restaurant round the corner. Seeing the Eiffel Tower with all it's lights at night from the window at the far distance. We would not positively recommend it, but at the same time, can not criticise it either. It is a matter of personal preference. Recommend to take travel kettle and toiletries. The area itself altough close to the sacre coeur, it was run down. However, the squre around the hotel was nice. We just think that the hotel was rather expensive for what it is. There was no kettle, toiletries are less than basic and there was no fridge. There was no access to the rads to control the thermostats or switch on and off as required.

The hotel was beautiful amazing features and so easy to locate with gard du nord only a 10minute walk and the closest metro no more than 50metres. The hotel has a lovely view of a little park and market. The hotel reception provides very good information leaflets on events and things to do in the area. The hotel staff where friendly and helpful Could do with a few finishing touches like pluges being fitted correctly other than that was a great hotel

Fantastic location so close to the metro at a fabulous price. Hotel staff were friendly & spoke English when our French let us down. Room was clean with plentiful storage & fresh towels & extra pillows/blankets. TV worked & had a good picture. Couldn't figure out how the shower worked

The Staff was very friendly, very reliable and extremeley helpful. The location is excellent with the metro just 50meters away and Train Station Gare du Nord within walking distance. The Hotel offered free Internet and this worked perfect for sending a few emails and browsing. There are a variety of nice Bars and Restaurants nearby. I can recommend this Hotel to anyone who wants to explore Paris. The Room was a little small and the decor is outdated but to be fair it probably compares well with other Hotels in Paris for the price.

The hotel has a very conveniently located underground public carpark. The sacre coeur is a very short walk away up hill to the north and many excellent restaurants are within 5 minutes walk. It has pleasant rooms and a large array of tourist leaflets. All in all there's nothing wrong with this place, although it can't be described as having 'thrills' everything is in order and you won't be disappointed. The staff were friendly. No complaints. It is useful to remember that if you want hot water you can ask for it at reception.

There's nothing particularly I liked, I thought it was over priced for what you got. Not value for money. Expensive for a tiny basic room with the smallest shower facilities ever.
