Standing majestically in the heart of the Vendôme forest, this manor used to be the viscount of Rochefoucauld's base when he fancied a spot of hunting.

Central location to town.
Very dark and dreary and drab
Not very many places to eat on a Sunday evening.
Great Price. French,Clean,Lovely Town. Free Parking Nearby 100m.When parking on square is restricted there is ample parking 100m away.Good breakfast provided.Had an excellent and cheap meal in a Moroccan Resturant down side street off main Square.Very good value for money.
The entire hotel is "tired", it needs a lot of money to be spent on it to bring it up to date
Very quiet room and comfortable bed.
Conversion of bedroom to provide en suite facilities
The location of the hotel.
Reception closes very early.
easy to find in a quiet location, comfortable night's sleep. Breakfast optional- we had it and it was very good.
Location Clean Quadruple room very handy Early check in Good value
Bit tired room Smoking in corridor despite being non smoking Lamp cover missing and not replaced Bit noisy from other rooms
Location perfect. Breakfast good
There was no lift. My wife and I are disabled and had five flights of stairs to our room. In the bathroom you had to edge sideways past the bath to get to the toilet. Throughout the night the sound of flushing toilets went down through the room.
It felt undoubtedly like you were staying in France, the breakfast room was very homely and the whole hotel clearly very loved and cared for
Public parking nearby wasn't available (blue zone residents parking only on square) but reception found a parking space for us on street behind hotel.
Was asked to move car at 8.30 am because of a delivery - but reception then told us it was safe to park in front of a garage for the next couple of hours, which was ok
The room was an adequate size. The bed was comfortable. It was nice to have our own toilet and shower in our room rather than going down the hall. The price was great and it was fine for our 4 day stay to see family in the area. There was soap and shampoo provided. I was able to get a hair dryer from the front desk. I am happy to stay here again in the future because it was a bargain and the staff were pleasant and the location on the town square was perfect with lots of free parking.
This is a budget hotel. The shower head was broken so that you had to use it as a hand held. The door to the toilet would not close properly. But the room was clean and the services all worked. There is no lift so you are walking up the stairs with luggage.
Location very central Friendly staff Clean and comfortable beds Fan in room
Very hot in room under roof Smell of cigarette smoke in hallway No extractor fan in bathroom so room gets steamy.
Receptionist kept a pArking SpAce On the roAd For us
It was a good stop off place. The room rate was good and the breakfast was very good value for money at €7.
Very hot in the room. A fan would have helped but it was only €45.
very nice town
when booked it was stated that parking was available in public square opposite hotel this was not true . blue zone police would not allow parking
Location was ideal for my purposes of traveling to a Conference 12 miles away.
Accomodations were adequate and clean, and as expected in an old hotel typical of the area, not modern- no air conditioning, and bath tub was in a cramped room and had a hand held sprayer.
Central location. Historic hotel. No traffic noise.
Comfortable bed. Beautiful shower.good breakfast. Friendly staff.
No dark curtain at the window.
Convenient location; comfortable bed; new bathroom fittings
Decor; wi-fi passwords didn't work
Friendliness of staff, location, glass conservatory entrance, comfortable beds
Separate shower room and toilet
Staff being helpful Clean and fresh
Well placed in the town. Nice old fashioned feel to the hotel and very good value for money. Chateaudun is really lovely and well worth an overnighr stay.
Room very poky and no good for longer stays but good price. Breakfast in gloomy back room. Better to go out into the square and fresh air!
