Very good location close to old town, main shopping centre, seafront, several good restaurants, bus station and railway station - all within 10 minutes walk. Hotel is basic but room, although very small was clean and well equipped - TV, safe, excellent shower with plenty of hot water. Staff were all pleasant and helpful - rude member of staff mentioned in earlier reviews has either left or had a charm implant!. A simple continental breakfast with choice of cereals, orange juice, baguettes, croissant, jam, coffee etc was reasonable value at 6 euros - nearby cafes charging the same or more for something similar. At 48 euros a night for a single room in a good location in Nice this struck me as a very good value hotel. Carpets on stairs and in corridors are shabby and need replacing. Otherwise the hotel was very clean. |

Very good and friendly staff. Some rooms must be renovate, some are renovated. Normal french breakfast. But it is okay. A 15 minute walk to old Nice, and in the other direction a 10 minute walk to the main station. A lot of restaurants and the shooping-area are only a few steps away. But the hotel and the small streets are quiet from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. nothing-nada-nichts. But when you come with car you must order a parking place at the hotel. |

The hotel is well located just off the main boulevarde and was comfortable and good value. The staff provided practical, thoughtful advice about sightseeing, transport, restaurants etc which meant we got more out of each day. Philippe was absolutely brilliant with our kids and helped make our stay in Nice a highlight of our holiday. The place isn't brand new, it doesn't have a lift - but it's a classic old Nice hotel and we liked it. |

The staff are excellent. While the cost of the breakfast was extra, it was very reasonably priced and the quality was excellent. I appreciated the WIFI (free, unlike in Italy) in the room. The rooms are very small, which was OK for 2 nights. |

It is just a few minutess walk from train station and close to shopping and restaurants etc. The welcome by Alfredo on reception is the best and most comical we have ever experienced at a hotel,(and we travel a fair bit). The place itself is rather old fashioned and nothing to write home about but the room was very clean, the shower was good, the tv worked and they have a haridryer in bathroom. The staff were really nice and very helpful. There is also a computer at reception for internet use for free and towels to borrow for the beach as well. Usually we would go for a higher star rated hotel but were happy with this Hotel for our 2 night stay. As the reception is not manned after 10pm they give a code to get in the main door. If your key has been left at reception before going out, they put it in a press in the hallway for you when arriving back in after 10pm. We took our key with us each time(but with big heavy keyring on it), as we did not like the idea that anyone else coming in could pick up your key. I did mention this to them but they said it has never happened. That's nice to know. Maybe they have cameras. |

We had loved everything in the rooms,well decorated with character,very clean and the best of all was alfred and johan,they were smart helpfull and u felt like home.I am travelling a lot and so friendly stuff like them a had never meet.good value for money!!!!!!!!!! The hotel hasn't elevator but we were so satisfied from alfred and johan and the rooms that we forgot it. |

The staff was the best. The breakfast was nice, if a little on the light side (no cheeses or meats or yogurts). The room decor was a bit dated but for a budget hotel who really cares? All I was concerned with was cleanliness, and it was clean enough. |

Everything was excellent! The staff was more than you could hope for and gave us lots of information as well as quite a few laughs. The room was clean and very comfortable. There's a big supermarket and a shopping center just next to the hotel, and the beach and the old town are within a walking distance, in my opinion. I would absolutely stay here again! |
