The proximity to shops restaurants and metro The hotel is classed as 4 star however delivers barely three star.It is expensive for what it is.The room service was always late in the day , and the cleaning equipment left draped around the impeding access to the stairs fire hydrant most days

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The location was the best thing about the hotel. The room was very small, the shower was awkward, the TV in the exercise room was broken, the sheets were not changed very often, breakfast was outrageously expensive, the phone had to be reprogrammed, we requested a wake-up call and did not get it, there were no wash cloths.

I understand the breakfast was a buffet but all I had one morning were two macaroons, a tea and a slice of toast. I was required to pay 20 euros for the breakfast and I was not aware of this until the next day. If I would have known I wouldn't have eaten there!

Grand hotel St Michel was every thing they promised it would be. Great staff, very good customer service. My room was very well designed and very comfortable. Beautiful attention to detail from the linens to the shower. For a petite hotel ii loved the way it was designed, great finishes, lobby furniture and the cozy breakfast room. All and all my new favorite hotel to stay at when I'm in Paris Bridget C Johnson Nothing

Location, Rooms well decorated, comfortable beds and wiev from the room was lovely We had a mix up with a late check out ( they told us we don't need to check out until 2pm and we got a phone call at 12.3pm on the day rushing us to check out right away) we never got an apology for a mix up so that was a bit annoying. We got a bottle of wine delivered to the room and the waiter was wearing a black leather jacket. No room service on a Christmas day ( which you would expect from a 4 star hotel ) One morning there was no hot water, there is no hotel bar either, breakfast costs 20 Euros per person which is really expensive considering the same breakfast in a cafe costs on average 2 Euros for 2 people. The hotel is extremely overpriced and the service does not match 4 star rating/ quality.

Location was good, staff fine, room decor was outstanding Room had skylight with no blind directly above bed, people using (service?) stairs were very audible during night. Hotel really needs a bar/coffee lounge

The Grand Hotel Saint Michel was a great deal compared to another hotel I've stayed in nearby. Compared to that hotel, the Grand Hotel had a friendlier staff, more up-to-date facilities, a small fitness room, and free wireless Internet access. The location was very convenient to the Paris 5e and 6e. I'd stay there again, assuming I could get a similar rate. He Internet access was slow but I really appreciated the fact that it was free. The shower door was off its rails and I couldn't put it back, but otherwise it worked.

We loved the hotel. The room was so cute and very clean and comfortable. The location was great. Close to the Metro and many restaurants, within walking distance of many of the city's best sights. The staff was very helpful with directions to the Metro and the best way to get to where we were going. There was nothing that we did not like.

Perfect location. Easy access via rer b line from Ch Gaulles Airport that stops near by. Quiet street with little traffic. Suitable distance form the busy and a bit noisy Latin Quarter. Small rooms with modern design. Nice bathrooms with water-fall shower. Air-condition that worked perfect. Next time I am in Paris I going to stay at the Grand Hotel St Michel.

Wonderful location right next to Sorbonne, this comfortable hotel was a fantastic base from which to explore Paris. The staff were friendly and attentive and the room a good size for a Parisian hotel. In the 30 degree heat of a Parisian summer the air conditioned room provided a much needed oasis of cool to recharge and relax

The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They spoke English, which was helpful to us. The hotel couldn't possibly be in a better location. It is right in the heart of Paris, in walking distance to the Luxembourg Gardens, the Pantheon, Notre Dame and the University Sorbonne. It is only minutes from different metro stops and it is right near many good restaurants. It is also only a short walk to great shopping. Our room was small but nice and the bathroom was very modern. I would recommend one book the superior rooms. They are a bit larger. Ours had a small terrace. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a huge variety of tasty foods and drinks. We would recommend this hotel to others and we would stay there again. We got our money's worth. Our original room was their basic "classic" room and, aside from being very small, the air quality was bad. The air conditioning in that room kept producing a foul odor. However, we were able to switch to another room and upgraded to one of their larger, superior rooms. The elevator was broken for the first 3 days we were there and, as our room was on the 5th floor, it was nice once it was fixed. They had problems with the computer designated for guest use in their conference room but this was also resolved while we were there. It was a plus having the fitness room but it is quite small with limited equipment.

The bed and bedding was luxuirous and very very comfortable. The bathroom was comprised of glass walls - which was nice as it made the room appear larger. However, it didn't allow for any privacy. I would recommned they add curtains to the bathroom on the living room side wall.
