Hôtel Albe Saint Michel is in a central location, in the heart of Paris’ Latin Quarter, by the Seine River. It is 5 minutes from Notre Dame Cathedral and the chic Saint-Germain-des-Prés district.
Score from 719 reviews Very good
Great location if you like the bohemian buzz of the Latin quarter with its 800 years history of universities, partially medevial streets, 5-10 minute walk to ALL of the brilliant ,vibrant Restaurants of The 5th Arrondissement, 2 min to parks. Surprisingly quiet . Staff extremely helpful and welcoming. Small Spa with steam room, shower, mini gym (3 running machines with youtube and TV screens) which is open 8am to 9pm.we used it in the morning before heading out for breakfast.Rooms luxurious with (triple room) extra toilet, bath, TV. The secret about getting the DVD-player running: connect cable at back of Player (towards TV),find power cable hidden behind desk and plug in,too.bring own adapter (only one available). Secret about cappuccino machine: there's a non-obvious power button at the top back end -press ,then insert coffee sachet, then pull down metal clip firmly(you can't miss it) and Then press far right Button on Front Panel To get The coffee Running - Great! Rooms smaller than expected considering The price but it's Paris and I felt never more Safe, looked after, Politely spoken to and will always Come back Here!! Font expected super spacious but expect cosy and luxurious. All rooms have own Air conditioning and heating- very easy to regulate. Windows Double glazed. Nearest RER Underground/Tube is 5 min walk("Louxembourg"),nearest Metro Underground/Tube ("Place monge") is 10-15 min Walk. Notre Dame and Seine about 10-12 min walk.such a "Pearl" Among The hotels - we will always be back!!
Rooms could be just that extra bit bigger for this quite proud daily price ,but the welcoming proactive genuinely friendly staff at reception, for the Spa,The cleaners, and The night Staff Makes more than up For this! This Hotel really is a home away from home.great base for very Short Or very Long Trips through Paris! As the steam room always recharges You For The next "round of Paris". Wholeheartedly recommend this Hotel! By The way: the "Fondation Louis Vuitton" - a must see if youre into Arts,Architecture and Music (just Google :) ).
We stayed here for 7 nights and loved it! All staff was wonderful and very helpful with everything:) We absolutely loved the breakfast buffet so we ended up having it every day since it was only 15€ per person. Fresh and very good! Only thing we didn't like was the scrambled eggs, they tasted like a "powder version". Other wise, excellent! The bed was very comfortable and bathroom clean and water was warm! We would stay here again for sure! Some good restaurants just around the corner and a beautiful view for the balcony!
The small room
the guy who worked there 20+ years and he was relatively young.....very helpful !! the beautiful staircase that is original, took photos, the front desk staff, the teamwork of the staff, watching them politely work together and smiling at each other because they are genuine and work well together. the afternoon tea time....the decor in the lobby was high line new york! bedroom windows opened and were huge with flowing curtains....
the tv was high up on the wall and smaller size to be placed so high....but it would get bumped I guess if larger or lower....just not comfortable to watch.. but who watches tv on vacation!!! and in Paris. really, so not so big a deal. Did not care for the congestion in the breakfast area, crossing service spaces to go eat... and breakfast was pricey compared to outside closely available breakfast which we eventually figured out. a continental breakfast in the lobby would have been just fine..... need a boutique in that spa area....check out the Hermitage boutique, its a five star hotel in nashville tennessee usa and they crank with customers who are not hotel over nighters....
Friendly staff, comfortable and warm room, with great facilities.
Breakfast is a large additional cost, but good selection.
I had never been too Paris before and the staff where so welcoming and helpful on where to go and how to get there. Really made us feel welcome and comfortable, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who's looking too go to paris.
My wife and I stayed here for our last night in Paris as a treat. The hotel was clean, the rooms were nice and the buffet breakfast was to a high standard. They even let us have the steam room to ourselves for a whole hour which was very nice. The staff were very friendly. (The lady that checked us in was absolutely gorgeous too which was a bonus sshhhh don't tell the wife)
The free wifi didn't seem to work for some reason but I didn't complain as I was on holiday and too busy enjoying myself to need Internet access.
The front desk staff were very helpful and accomodating. Room was clean and comfortable. Beds were very comfortable. The location is excellent, close to shopping, dining, and sights. Would definitely stay again!
The staff were very helpful and pleasant; no extra charge for wifi (should go without saying at this price, but so many hotels annoy customers by charging extra); lovely view from the room, nice bathroom products
The buffet breakfast, though perfectly nice, was a bit pricey at €15
Nice room, generally well equipped. Comfortable bed and cushions. Well-equipped bathroom with robe, slippers, toiletries. Friendly and helpful staff. location was central and close to metro stations. Very nice breakfast. I would stay here again.
Sleeping was good but a little disturbed as overlooked road at front and early refuse collections and passers by making noise. Folding shower screen over the bath kept colliding with shower attachment, which should ideally be located at one end of bath rather than centrally but am splitting hairs! Would be nice to have had complimentary tea and coffee facilities in bedroom itself (not just in reception area in the afternoon) as residents are generally out visiting the attractions till evening.
Bernard was extremely nice and helpful! The whole staff was. The room was comfortable and clean
Being told that breakfast was included and find out after I had 2 biscuits that I had to pay 15€ it was definitely not worth 15€
What lovely hotel great location staff were friendly and very helpful. Afternoon tea is a lovely gesture and much needed after a day sightseeing. Room was fab and cleaned to a very high standard daily. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Central and quiet location, close to the metro for easy sight seeing. Our room was nicely furnished with a very comfortable bed. The hotel staff were very helpful and welcoming. We love this area when staying in Paris.
The superior room was really small, the photos are stretched! The 2 twin bed was 2 singles and the queen-sized bed was a normal double. The drain was blocked so the sink was disgusting. When we complained about the room's size, the staff was rude and useless.
Very helpful, courteous, attentive staff. Location is fabulous ... close to so many historical sights and wonderful restaurants.
Had to continually long on to Wi-Fi. Initial signing on was a bit confusing.
The hotel was comfortable and the staff were helpful. Would stay there again.
There was building materials and scaffolding outsider the main door in the street.
5th floor balcony & seating for 2
Close to everything! Friendly and helpful staff who spoke English. Very helpful in recommending local restaurants!
A little pricey for the room size and layout...but it is Paris :)
The location was really good. Close to many attractions, Metro and restaurants. Room was small but I noticed we had a corner room which was fine the bathroom was large. Staff was EXCELLENT! They were very helpful with directions and metro. They have a coffee and snack in afternoon which was nice.
Wish the breakfast would of been included. $15 a day. It looked nice but we went to the near by McDonalds.
Great breakfast. Loved the small gym but could do with a fan. Tea and biscuits in foyer. Perfect service. Perfect if you are a runner as gardens 100 m away.
Gym a bit too warm but I still went.
Location Comfort Decor Staff were excellent
Rooms were very small - normal for Paris though Lack of some facilities - iron, hairdryer Shower was extremely small everytime I got in I banged my heel or knee on the sink
We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and beautifully presented. The breakfast room is charming with excellent presentation of using good quality crockery etc. Quite stylish. It actually put the 5 star hotel we had just stayed at to shame. Thanks for a great stay
Staff efficiency and helpfulness. Excellent standard of cleanliness. Breakfast good value for a hotel. Good position. Well appointed.
Gym (reason we chose hotel) - treadmill out of order and cycle pedals had no straps making it very difficult to use. We had superior room which was still tiny and bathroom very small. Will try somewhere else next time.
Location was great close to Notre Dame and river also around the corner from St Germain and great shopping. The bedding was very luxurious and the staff where very friendly and informative
Stay wasn't long enough :(
Beautiful decor, clean, very friendly and helpful staff, excellent location.
The rooms were quite small.
