Clean rooms and very close the the Channel Tunnel terminal and the autoroute. Ridiculous rule about maximum 4 people to a room, and we have 3 small children aged 5, 2 and 2. When we arrived with our exhausted children at just before midnight, the man at reception wouldn't budge (even though we'd brought a travel cot) and insisted we get a second massive room, which we didn't use, as we were more than 4 people.

The location of the hotel and the room facilities. I paid 12 Euro for the worst breakfast I have ever had in a hotel. Most of the items like milk, croissants etc were finished, and all I ended up with was a small bread roll, a slice of cheese, and a cup of coffee. The waitress should have told me that there was no breakfast left before accepting my payment. Very, very poor service, and this could prevent me from staying there in the future. :-(

It is no-nonsense, efficient, has everything the busy traveller needs and is in a fantastic location for the Tunnel. My tentative attempts at French were met with perfect English, and all staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was comfortably large, the facilities impeccably clean and - best of all - I didn't hear anything from any other room for either of my one-night stays. As a single person travelling with a dog it is perfect. You might put up a notice asking people to return the luggage trolleys to their position by the entrance, instead of selfishly leaving them in front of their rooms!

Nice bathroom, plenty of space, dogs welcome. Good selection of free films etc on tv in room. Description says 200m from eurotunnel this is true, as the crow flies, but the actual drive from the hotel is about 1.5 - 2km. Bed was uncomfortable.

Good sized room with high standard of finish The room temperature control would only heat the room. When we asked at reception the reason given was that the air conditioning system had been turned to winter mode which meant that you could not cool the room. It was like a sauna, and made the visit extremely uncomfortable. Also, we had specified in the booking for a third bed to be made up - it wasn't ! We had to go to reception to get the bed linen because he was the only staff member in the hotel and couldn't leave the desk.

Our room which was on the ground floor was ideal for our two night stay in Calais. The quality of the room was excellent and the provision of a microwave and fridge was ideal in our circumstances. The bathroom was also of a high standard with good sized bath and shower. A seperate wc was also a nice touch. Do not hesitate to book this accomodation. The only negative is that we found it a little difficult to locate but if you head for "City Europe" you should have no difficulties.

Excellent for anybody travelling between the UK and France and wanting a memorable place to overnight or use as a base to visit the north of France. The size of the suites is impressive and the staff very pleasant. The location is close to (within walking distance) a big shopping mall with a good selection of places to have a meal and go to the cinema. Easy access to the motorway is also a plus;

“We stayed here for two nights in the family room as a result of a recommendation from friends. It was close to the city's tram and train stations which we wanted to travel into Amsterdam. The beach, the local restaurants, the transit system along with seeing the ww2 bunkers on the coast made the location of this hotel perfect. ” Elizabeth, Churchdown, Gloucestershire |
