Everything, but lication
the rooms are in very bad shape.
Great location, better than youth hostel! Great location, super friendly people and neighborhood. Lots of nearby sights. Loved our private balcony and feeling like a part of the neighborhood. Plenty of hot water!
One electrical plug, patchy wifi, older decor...
Good situation. Convenient for Place des Vosges and Hotel de Ville. Lots of buses pass the door. Our room(No.8) was at the back, overlooking a charming courtyard. The bed and bedding were excellent, and the newly refurbished bathroom was really nice. Excellent value for money
No lift, and this should have been pointed out to potential clients with walking difficulties. Bits of the room a bit dusty.
Needs a good clean and some upkeep
Night staff were helpful and friendly. Easy walk to Notre Damme Cathedral.
No early check-in (needed this after a trans-Atlantic flight). Stairs were really challenging with luggage - day staff would not assist. Third bed did not have adequate bedding, nor were there towels for the third person.
room was smelly, noisy, uncomfortable bed and pillow, plugs hanging out of wall , need I go on
Good place for that price..
could be better
The location is great!
After reserving a triple room 3 weeks in advance, we arrived to be told they had no triples. Instead, a cot was placed in an already cramped double room. The room smelled very musty but we were unable to sleep with the windows open due to the very noisy traffic outside on Rue Antoine. There is no aircon. The toilet paper was not replaced when the dispenser was empty. Guess when we found out? Lets face it....the place will do in a pinch but book elsewhere if possible.....
This hotel was the worst thing ever!!! The pictures on the web are not true! It is too old and dirty! Don't stay there ! I ask for a 3 bed room and there was no place to walk. Not even space to walk through or enter with the luggage! Againg, look for another one.
Location in the Marais.
No noise insullation that will wake you up early in the morning or late in the night by common noise made by other guests. Peeling wall paper. May need to climb 4 stories with your luggage to get to your room. Not even a (plastic) glass in the bathroom. Clearly, it lacks maintenance.
Great location near Bastille Metro station. Right in the heart of the Marais district.
Small room, very hot with no air conditioning.
The staff were really helpful. Good value for money. A great place to stay!
safe neighbourhood, and nice staff.
I booked it just before I stayed, so the price is really high. There is no elevator in it.
Location to the Metro is great, loads of restaurants within walking distance. Also, a very nice, scenic walk(15mins) to the Louvre & other Museums. L'Arsenal restaurant near the hotel has good food & a nice spot to sit outside & people watch.
The hotel is very old and needs serious renovations. Stale Oder in the room & hallway. The bathroom had a fowl odor. The pillows were old and yellow stained wrapped with a bed sheet (no pillow case). Bedding was old and looked like it was from the 80's. The mattresses were stained badly & the French door couldn't close shut so we had a cool breeze blowing in which did help reduce the stall odor. Considering location to metro etc I didn't expect the best room quality considering the location is very convienent for tourist. When in Paris sleep is not a priority considering there is so much to do all day & night :)
Location.Walking distance to places of intetests.
Room small for quad sharing. No elevator.Quite a climb with heavy luggages.
The location was amazing! Within walking distance to many places and the area had nice restaurants and markets. The night staff was very friendly.
The room was filthy. The sheets and the towels were clean but the bed cover was soiled and the wall paper and carpet were dirty. The light fixtures were broken as well. On the plus side there didn't appear to be any bed bugs.
Our room was extreamly dirty: due to dust and dirt it was impossible to touch anyhing. Even breathing was hard. Haven't seen a hotel or motel room like this before! We couldn't stay. We had to pay for one night but didn't stay. We were happy to find a nice room from the other part of Paris.
Situation was great, just a short walk to Metro, Notre Dame, River etc. Was a small room, but for it's situation was good.
located less than 5 minutes walk from saint paul metro station, it was on a busy area with lot of cafe bakery and a supermarket nearby. easily walked to musee the louve , notre dame , opera garnier .staff was very polite.
there is no air condition in the room, we ended up sweating in the room during my summer trip in paris. Very basic and old furniture.the double bed room is small and the arrangement of the furnitures just made the room even smaller but not a big problem. i paid 85 euro per night for 2 person (double bed room) which is the most expensive among my 4 times visit to paris.
Excellent location close to public transport, shops and sights.
Very small room. Smelly bathroom with glass shower screen door nearly off its hinges. Very uncomfortable beds.
The location was very good. Metro station and Starbucks only 2 blocks away. Walking distance to Notre Dame and the Louvre.
Mold odor from the bathroom was nearly overpowering. Furnishings were bottom of the line. The shower head broke in my hands and it was replaced with one that was not able to be mounted on the wall fixture. It was difficult to shower while holding the shower head all the time. BTW the shower was only 4 Sq ft in size. Make sure to ask for toilet paper daily as it does not get replaced. When we checked out, the manager charged us 6 Euros more because we had made reservations through Booking.com
The location is unbeatable for the price. Most of the major sites are within walking distance, and the metro is easily accessible from here as well. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
It's not the cleanest place, to put it mildly. On par with 1-star hotels in much worse neighborhoods in this respect. BUT it's certainly not the worst I've seen in Paris - and the location and price make the shabbiness easy to overlook.
not very clean
