poor food choice expensive drinks no wifi in room
Good range of sports all free, comfortable rooms, spa (adults only), pool and pool bar, breakfasts
Evening meal - not enough choice and expensive, location a little remote
clean,cheap,free wifi,free parking,nice crew members
expensive breakfast and dinner the food isn't good enough 20 minuets from any city , not enough tourists information and cupon swimming pool isnwt deep enough for well swimming
Excellent facilities and great location for a relaxing time away from the main cities. Good sized room with mezzanine. Very helpful staff
+ calm location, clean, friendly service, dog-friendly, nice pool and spa, a great view
The variety of sports facilities at the resort was great, and everything was free to use!
I don't really know where to begin! When we arrived, the room was not to our satisfaction (big crack in sink, carpet stain, no mountain view as expected) and the sauna in the spa area was out of order, (the sauna/wellness area being the sole reason why we chose this hotel!). We asked to change rooms, since many of our expectation were not met, but the manager was not only unaccommodating, unprofessinal and rude, he went to the extent of lying to us, saying that the hotel was fully booked and that it was out of the question to change rooms. This was an obvious lie since the resort seemed pretty dead. We were literally told to "take the room or leave!" When we asked about the sauna, he informed us that it's not out of order, just not in use during the summer. This to our disappointment is not advertised on the website). After 2 days, the airconditioning completely stopped working! We found big bugs and insects in the room. Plus my boyfriend woke up to a new fresh juicy bite on his body every morning! Not the best place to relax and enjoy a week in the south of France!
nature & calm nice installations very good spa and personnel of the spa
menu of the restaurant is quite short
Facilities, cleanliness, pool, tennis, rooms.
Restaurant was too expensive and upmarket. More lower priced meals would have encouraged more guests to eat-in as opposed to stocking up at the local supermarket.
The pool and tennis courts good
The location, the staff not very helpful, €14 for a toasted ham and cheese sandwich , restaurant had poor menu and quality, breakfast ok ,odour in room, pool not available for two days was last straw
We arrived at 10am to ask if we could leave our luggage before the 3pm check in and within the hour we were given our room. Nothing was too miuch trouble for the gentleman in reception, we were even given coffe while our room was made ready. Very friendly staff, super clean room and amazing facilities. A little difficult to find but so,so worth it.
Location and facilities
Internet connection and the room which should be renovated soon.
We were late arriving due to motorway tailbacks and when we arrived we were met by the owner and personally shown our rooms by him. We were in the new block and I can honestly say it is the best hotel we have ever stayed in, from the luxurious room to the wonderful views, courtyard bar, and friendly professionally presented staff who attended us well. Wonderful, just wish we could have spent more time here!
There is nothing to dislike! Other reviewers say it is 'in the mountains' but it is simply a journey up the hill. We knew this when we booked so it was fine - without this it would not have the views! It is also signposted clearly, you just have to look for the signs.
Very friendly staff made us feel welcome. The room was very quiet, comfortable, clean and equipped with safety box, kettle, small refrigerator, a flat TV. It also had a balcony with small round table and two chairs. The hotel is very beautiful, with a lot of tennis courts, a big pool, other sport facilities and a nice playground for children. And I did not mentioned the view on the mountains!
WIFI required frequent authentication, which was a little bit annoying.
The staff checking us in were efficient, the room was clean and comfortable.
Signage to find the hotel was almost non-existent. We had to ask directions four times from people in the village and neighborhood and even then it was difficult to find. The restaurant was a disappointment. The food was very good but the staff was discourteous and rude. They seemed aghast that we had not reserved a table but even by the time we left there were eight tables filled and twenty empty. The waitress was rude and condescending. We ordered a la carte and then she insisted four times that we could not have what we ordered because it was not on the prix fixe menu. I would not recommend the restaurant.
Great sporting things / lovely setting : the area for breakfast outside was good idea but loads of weeds growing through the courtyard so looked unkept: the puddings were overpriced for what they were : 9 euros for raspberry tiramisu which was really mainly cream and a macaroon on top: lovely spa and bedrooms : a few areas of the grounds needed a Gardner to weed and cut .
Overpriced puddings and starters : some areas of ground eg immediately outside my accommodation were unkept and needs Gardner .
Excellent helpful staff, fluent in English, Big rooms (the double rooms and the suites) with comfortable beds and very clean. Good airco. Clean large poolside with sufficient sunbeds. Luxurious spa. I guess that the negative reviews mostly concern the family rooms which we had for 1 night. They indeed are pretty basic. The prices for double rooms and suites compare favorable to hotels in Nice, especially considering the facilities of this hotel.
You need a car to get out, which off course is not a minus if you choose for a hotel 15 km inland from Nice.
The hotel was a gem on our last night of our honeymoon. It has so much to do on site; tennis, volleybal, a spa and much more. You do need to have a car to stay there as there is only one restaurant and the near by area of st jeannet is worth the drive to. The spa was great with very friendly staff. The access to all the sports equipment and facilities makes it a great place to stay without getting bored!
There is some much needed upkeep and improvements needed. Part of the edge of the pool was broken, the beds are basic and could be more comfortable. The towels the lend out for the pool are too small.
