Hotel well situated and staff friendly and helpful

The staff was very friendly and the hotel has a renovated, cheerful and very clean feel to it. The locarion is very near the station but off the main street so it is very quiet.

I found this hotel excellent value for money. It's ideally located near railway station & the shops. The staff are so helpful & friendly. The night we arrived was cold so the man at reception put on the heating & gave us extra blankets. I would highly recommend the Surcouf. For me it ticked all the boxes.

breakfast was very basic. I would be willing to pay more & have a good breakfast but I understand most people in France just want a coffee. We Irish love our breakfast.

Small dining room. For some reason every single guest arrived for breakfast at once resulting in some good humored musical chairs. I ate well and enjoyed the company, but may not have suited everyone.

Very close to the gare. I stayed here for Hellfest that was in Clisson to which I went to by train every day. Staff speaks English. Cleaning lady doesn't speak English but could communicate very well.

i liked that it's in the center of nantes, that it's a very clean hotel and a very clean room and that it's very-very quiet inside de room. the room is also very cosy and cute.

the bath room is spacious enough, but the shower space is very tiny. that's all.

The people who ran it were thoroughly unpleasant. Rude. Arrogant.

A teapot in the room - most of Paris ** hotels are having it. Good to have in Nantes too.

We had an extremely early international flight on the day we were checking out, and the staff was super helpful in arranging transportation to the airport and helping us to check out early. The location is right by the train station and the castle.

No complaints. Not the highest class but the room was clean.

It was a comfortable hotel with very friendly staff. The room had a very normal size and it was very clean. The bathroom was very clean too. The location is excellent, close to the train/bus station and to the castle of the Duke of Brittany. There are quiet some restaurants around with very good food.

The only thing I liked worse is the fact that the receptionist didn't speak almost any English (and I have no idea of French), although they were extremely friendly and made themselves very understandable (in French and a bit of English).

la manière de faire le lit , drap et couverture arrivent à mi-lit...

personnel sympa, faisant le marathon , ont accepté d'avancer l'heure du petit déjeuner et agréable aussi de libérer la chambre un peu plus tard pour prendre une douche en revenant de la course , franchement on a apprécié.

Excellent accueil, très bien entretenue, bon rapport qualité prix, très bien situé. Personnel très accueillant. Hôtel de standing très bien.

Entre 14h00 et 16h00 il n'y avait personne à la réception, un peu dommage
