not isolated rooms. you can here the voices from the other room
Please Don't go in this ho(s)tel If you search for a secure place. Leftin my luggage in the common area, tellin me was secure, they stole my computer and there are no camera in all the hotel. So it is gone. Being near the centre, does not mean is cool if hotel is not secure for hosts. It is not at all secure.
friendly staff. Basic room.
There was no wifi at all on some days. The hotel does not have a hair-dryer to lend to costumer. One evening we came back to the room and the window was wide open, with temperature of only of few degrees outside.
good location, good service
poor wifi, on the first day we stay there, there's no hot water all day, we cannot take a shower! no hair dryer.
Location, staff, near to metro station
shower are broken, water splash everywhere and no hole on the ground almost made water flour and cannot do anything, staff always smoke outside and make smoky to the room upstairs from window, no internet in room, no hot water for shower, and the toilet door was broken even cannot close it, no hair dryer to borrow from reception, cleaning staff open the door and get in by themself when we were still sleeping, also noisy "sounds" from every room beside us
Wifi is sooooo weak!!
the staff were very helpful a fridge is available
wifi erratic at best bed had an annoying plastic cover
1. Staff are pretty nice and helpful. 2. Very clean and tidy room. 3. Low price with good quality. 4. Close to metro station. 15 min walk to town centre.
1. The lock of one of the toilet did not function well. I almost lock myself from it. 2. The lightbulb of one of the bathroom was out of service. 3. Hair dryer was also out of service.
close to metro station
- 1st day the wifi wasn't working - I got double room cheaper in the other place than in this eight-bed room with a bed space in my earlier and later trips
The attitudes and the facility. It is so cold at night and there is no door for each room~ all people lives in ground floor. We are separated by wall. Like cells~
Location: 7-10 min walk from the old port, 3 metro stations from St-Charles train station (which offers a bus shuttle to the airport), hotel a 3-min walk to a metro station. Room came with shower and toilet. Price was excellent.
The staff wasn't welcoming at all to say the least! The room reeked of tobacco smoke although the building is strictly non-smoking, so bad I had to sleep with the windows open. Was better after opening the windows. The bottom of the shower had mold, but overall the room and bathroom were clean. Carpet throughout the suite which is not hygienic. Lack of light in the room which makes it a bit creepy. Outdated decor. No elevator so you have to take the stairs with your heavy luggage. Ok for one night but not more.
nice localisation :)
bed was too soft, it was imposible to sleep well :(
The double room was quite spacious and comfortable for the price I paid. In the lobby there is a computer for guests. The breakfast for 5 euros was very good and more convenient than a "petit dejuner" in the cafès around the city.
The walls were a bit thin and we could here every little sound coming from the next room. TV was not working and WiFi signal was very weak.
Good location and big dorm. Other than the minor dislikes it's a good stay!
Lacked social interaction and quite noisey from the street.
The wifi cannot use, and the tolite not very clean. and most of power point cannot use.
Staff where helpful. Private rooms looked ok. It may have been a bad time. With nearly 200 hostels, homestays, bungalows stayed in, and a being a bloke, it takes a lot for me to can a place.
Zero wifi for at least 4 days, only router password reprogramming required. Breakfast is poor value at 5 euro Sensor light in dorm corridor also illuminates dorms (wall's are merely 100mm partitions) /on off on off all night. Insufficient and non operational lockers so not everybody's stuff is secure (they did offer the use of a small utility room
I was in the dorms: 4 interconnected spaces with 4+ beds in each. I liked: position (1km from Vieux-Port); clean, comfortable bed (power sockets and individual light); WiFi in the common area. Ground-floor facing the street, but still quiet enough during the night.
I would have loved some hooks for clothes in the room, and some hooks in the bathroom for towel. Only space available: floor or bed. Staff at check-in, not completely unpleasant but "disturbingly cold". Did not read my request (lower bed) and had to ask.
location is perfect! it's good place to stay one or two nights to discover center of Marseille
breakfast for 5 EU could be bigger (only tea\coffee and croissant -isn't too much).
Clean rooms and beds, well-working wifi, an ancient building itself, not far from the centre of the city (10 min walk from Vieux port) very close to the undeground station (3 min walk), pleasant meeting of the staff, they try to do their best to make you feel comfortable
Not all the stuff speak English, though they try to do everything to help you; a bit cold at night even in August because the windows can't be well closed
Awful single starred hotel. Our room was exactly behind the reception, and the first night we had troubles with the receptionists themselves because they were making a huge noise until 2 in the night, despite I asked them twice to stop. Fortunately I had another room the next day. The overall cleaning was terrible, the toilet in the first room was smelling disgustingly (the receptionists made up the story that it was due to the proximity to the port), and in the second room we had cockroaches as a company. The only objective advantage is its position, being at 5 min walk from the Vieux-port.
The bathrooms were very clean. Although the wifi was down on my first day it had a strong signal .Excellent location close to transport.
There were no lockers available when I stayed so had to sleep with my belongings at the end of the bed. The bunk beds are so close together it felt like I was sharing a bed!
Unfriendly staff. Dorm room has no key so anyone can come in. No kitchen and common room is closed at 10.30pm.
The location was good.
The hotel was dirty and smelly.
