Nothing We got a room with opaque windows ( the type of windows used for a bathroom ) that could not be opened at all so the atmosphere was quite bleak the day after our arrival we complained about it and were immedetiatly insulted by the guy in charge ( apparently linked to the owner )never experienced such an attitude after 30 years of intense traveling so 108 euros no view and insults when you dare to point out the fact rooms with no windows should not be given at this price level or even proposed in a decent hotel to be avoided at all costs

We absolutely loved this hotel/guest house. It was such a nice change from typical European hotels (small, cramped, nothing special). It was a 15 minute or less walk to the train station (or anywhere in central Bayeux), located right by the cathedral and several wonderful little restaurants. We loved that breakfast was included in our reservation (so atypical of Europe!!) Loved everything; no complaints. Perhaps not the most child-friendly since much of the stuff seems antique; but just an observation from a couple with no kids.

A warm welcome, very comfortable & beautifully presented accommodation. Freak weather conditions in March, meant we were snowed in with 12-15 inches of snow & enormous snowdrifts. Anthony was very helpful & even offered us free accommodation after our planned stay ended (we actually paid a slightly reduced rate for an extra night) just so we wouldn't attempt to get home in dangerous road conditions. He was more concerned about our safety than making money - a man of integrity. We didn't get to travel around but walking around Bayeux in the snow was very beautiful, spent more time than planned in the cathedral! For English tea loving visitors, take a kettle & tea bags or you may dehydrate. A memorable, lovely stay. A bit hot in the room but not really a problem - could open a window! Better than being cold & lovely when coming in from the cold!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Le Tardif, Noble Guesthouse in the heart of Bayeux, France. We were made to feel at home. The surrounding garden was tranquil and it was an excellent base for us to not only explore Bayeux but also the Normandy Beaches.

Anthony, the manager, took excellent care of us during our stay and was very helpful with dining suggestions, places to tour and visit and planning our excursions. Breakfast every day was wonderful. The Sunday morning brioche is to die for! The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Le Tardif is very convenient to all of Bayeux and the various sites in Normandy.

The Host, Anthony, was extremely kind and accommodating! He had many tips for us for travel around Bayeux, which is an ideal location for all the Normandy sites, as well as the Mont St Michel. The hotel/B & b felt very home-like, including a lovely breakfast with other guests from all over the world each morning. This is one of the best places to stay in/near Bayeaux! The parking situation was excellent as well, which was important as we were sightseeing daily. In addition, the b & b is filled with amazing antiques, which make for an authentic experience in one of France's oldest towns.

Wonderful one night stay for our family of four. We had the lovely 2BR 'suite', which was well staged with antiques. Beds were comfortable and true to the aesthetic -- low to the ground), but not "luxurious". The house and property is delightful, well-designed and incredibly well-maintained. Perfect location.

Absolutely everything. The owner is extremely welcoming and friendly. The room was well beyond our expectations. It was spacious, comfortable and had everything you would need. The furnishings are elegant, we felt very spoilt. The Location was central to everything, and off street parking is provided. It was very easy to find. I would definitely recommend this hotel. There is nothing you could possibly dislike.

Our five-night stay at Le Tardif was the perfect spot to explore Bayeux well as the surrounding highlights. The Normandy Beaches, coastal towns, and Mont Saint Michel are all within an easy drive. Then, you get to 'come home' to the gracious hospitality of Anthony in the historical and beautiful residence of Le Tardif. Highly recommended.

Very charming guesthouse. I stayed alone as a side to a business trip to see the D-Day beaches, (20 min drive). This is one block from both the cathedral and the tapistry museum. Excellent location. Beautiful grounds and building, wonderful reception and service. I had the single person room on ground floor. Great room, but the bed is a bit small for a taller person (I am 6 foot 2 inches tall). Great otherwise.
