Great location, super friendly staff, it's well worth the money. Went there for the weekend with my girlfriend and strongly recommend
Staff were very nice, location was great , this was exactly what we were looking for , actually felt like Paris , ie charming, warm and beautiful. Would recommend
I asked via booking.com for some room decoration as a surprise as it was my daughters 16 birthday but got reply from the hotel. but this would not put me off booking here
The staff is the best thing. The second best thing is the modern bathroom. Service with a smile is their strong point-- not so common in France.
A good location15mins from eurostar and short walk to 2 metro stations for attraction links. Great staff, very friendly and helpful. A nice clean hotel, comfortable bed and tidy decor.
Shower head and fixture was falling off the wall had to hold with hand. Water pressure dropped at peak times to bearable.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. This was our first European visit so we were a little surprised at the size of the rooms not only at Taylor but all the hotels we stayed in.
Walking past the street people sleeping on the sidewalks.
the lovely bedroom furniture: the very nice bathroom the helpful; & friendly staff !
We are tall: husband is 6' 3" so the bed was too short for him. even a tiny continental breakfast would have been very nice
The comfort of the bed and bedding and the quietness of the room, despite the busy location
The rates were so expensive for what you got. Such a difference from hotels in the United States, what you get for the money. Also, the bathroom wasn't very good. The toilet ran intermittently and the shower wasn't very good.
Friendly, informative staff.
Two hangers in the wardrobe, a kettle with the shortest flex ever and sockets at floor level, almost. No hand rails to help get in and out of bath (I'm 75) and a shower curtain so long that it could easily trip one up.
location staff friendly at start but received no apology and were curt after my complaint
unable to sleep due to the below; > Walls like paper, can hear everything people taking, walking around, going to the bathroom. > Too hot, only thick quilt no thin sheet, no AC, fan from wardrobe rattling and noisy. Nothing in fridge so can't even have a drink. > Bed uncomfortable and mattress topper too thin can feel the gap between the 2 single beds pushed together. > Only accessible plug over by entrance door so can't get to phone without getting out of bed, when fan plugged in no other sockets to use. > Also, the bath was dirty. > no apology received > offered free breakfast but selection shoddy
Off the main road but close to all you need, staff are helpful.
Wifi doesn't reach in room. No air con
Location, Reception staff (both day and evening) really helpful with our inquiries. Room was really comfortable and airy.
Homeless people living just a stones throw from hotel (under arch way). However, we accept that this is a problem for all countries and not the responsibility of the Hotel.
Fantastic desk staff. Beyond helpful and friendly. Rooms clean and bright with big windows and beds super comfy.
Bathrooms need updating badly. Our bath/shower had no curtain or glass door!! The sink backed up easily and the taps need to be replaced. Street was very noisy at night.
Magda at the front desk was delightful and a huge help. Very comfortable bed. Good size room. We had a lovely stay.
Nicely located close to metro. Charming appeal to rooms and lobby.
It was located on a very small side street that was difficult to find sometimes at night if you didn't come in from the exact same way. Bums didn't bother us but were nearby in the alley by hotel.
Towels rather small
Location is very good. Most sites walkable if you like a walk. If not, the Metro is nearby. Nice rooms, friendly staff.
In August many local restaurants are shut which is a shame as some are very good. The rooms were very hot which disturbed our sleep a bit. Though fans were provided. The local area is mixed which may deter some people but it felt safe. Like many Paris hotels the lift is tiny and very slow
I loved the room it was lovely, the hotel was very nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was close to a metro station which had good connections to the rest of the metro, which made getting around very easy. And there were plenty of cafes and food shops around so you didn't have to go far for food if you didn't want to.
There was no a/c or fan and as it was summer the room was quite hot and in order to cool it down at night you needed to open the window, there was a lot of noise outside both nights we were there which made it hard to get to sleep. If the window was closed it was less loud however it became really hot and again made it harder to sleep.
Short walk to Metro Station, comfortable rooms - adequate for a small break without paying huge prices. I would stay there again.
No aircon was a bit of a pain but managed to get a fan the 2nd night. Would be better if they were provided in each room. Also the road was quite noisy at night. Not a problem with the window closed and fan on thought.
We liked the look of the room. It was very pretty. Loved the open window and thankfully had compariively mild temps and few insects (we live in south LA). The staff was very helpful and there was always someone at the front desk 24-7. Breakfast was very good and offered a variety of foods.
These aren't really complaints, but rather points of interest. We had two small adults in a double room and it was very cramped. And another FYI, the bathroom is minuscule. I know this is common in Europe, but this was almost comical and the shower was not clean. Also, the WIFI never worked. One more heads up, the location is sketchy at best. Although after the first night, we didn't fear for our safety, it wasn't a very desirable local.
Many things in the room didn't work. We had 2 rooms one we thought was a 2 bed room. Unfortunately the hotel was out of those and not very helpful when we complained.
Quiet location although a short distance from major stations and lots of local restaurants nearby. We requested a quiet room and were very happy that we got one. Staff friendly and helpful.
Very convenient for arrival by eurostar at Gare du nord. Small but tasteful room quiet with good beds and lighting; nice to have tea-making facilities.
near cafes, metro,supermarket friendly staff
could not get the safe to lock
We were there in transit and it was a nice, clean property.
The rooms were a little small and the shower didn't have a lot of pressure.
Nice room, stuff, everything
The location is pretty good, however each time we had to pass homeless people sleeping few meters from the hotel, I felt always very sorry for them
