This hotel is in a fantastic location, on top of a hill with a view of the river and plains. We had a nice corner room with with an unusually large bathroom (for France). Would probably be a good place in summer as there is a nice pool. The dining room is very French provincial. Friendly and helpful hosts.

very basic accomodation for a reasonable price. Mainly quiet. Staff friendly but not able to help much with what I wanted (ie internet, use of pool...) Internet worked less than half the time, broken things in room (shower fixture, flyscreen on window), swimming pool 'closed' (ie full of water but not available to be swum in), small fridge in room locked, only 1 shampoo sachet given for a 5 day stay.

Nice view of the Dordogne river, the food was good. We chose it as it had an outdoor swimmimg pool, but it was closed even though the temperature was over 30c, the room and bathroom were outdated with dirty carpets and mildew in the bathroom. The owner's old cat and huge old dog and budgie seemed to live in the lounge and dining room. My wife did not like the smell of the whole hotel.

Madame was very keen to help all the guests. On half-board we were asked at breakfast time what we would like for dinner. The pool was a delight, still open in mid-September. We had drinks and dinner on the terrace watching the sun set over fabulous views, We came back to the Beauregard having visited on our honeymoon 26 years ago, delighted to find it even better than we remembered! And less expensive than a "budget" chain hotel! The toilets were a bit smelly, as our own could be when we had a septic tank. Can't expect mains drains in somewhere as beautifully away-from-it-all as this!

We liked the location and the vue. The swimming pool was excellent for relaxation We booked two family rooms (four persons). I turned out not to be a family room, but an ordanary room with an extra double bed of poor quality wit a sleeping bag as comforter. One room had an corner at the ceiling with thousands of fruit flies. we killed them ourselves with hairspray since the staff was no longer present at night.

The food was excellent. The service outstanding with warmth and friendliness of a family run hotel. I would unhesitatingly go back there again.

Lovely friendly and efficient staff. Beautiful views and lovely terraces and pool. We had the room at the side of the main terracce, with it's own little enclosed outside space, which we loved. We were not that impressed with the meal but it was ok. It was very French and after all we were in France! We chose the steak and the quality of the meat was not that good. This is not a complaint, just an observation!

Isolated location on a cliff top with wonderful views. There was a good sized pool which was clean and easily accessible. Staff were few in number but were very helpful and accommodating. The fabric of the building was such that the walls were paper thin and so sounds tended to travel however this did not affect us too much since the other guests in the hotel were quiet in the main.Definitely need a car since hotel is isolated.

The room was ok. The bathroom was really nasty and smelly. We did not eat there so cannot comment. The room was ok for the money, but the hotel is a bit remote from everything except canoeing.

The view from the window of our room was amazing. The village of Limeul is also very nice. Overall the hotel was an excellent value for money. We will definitely stay in the hotel next time. The bed was too hard for my wife - that's a matter of preference though
