Grand Hotel des Terreaux  

Location, cleanliness, breakfast if you have the need for a car, the public parking garage is a very short walk.

Front desk staff was not only not helpful, they were often curt & rude. Asking questions was always an imposition & suggestions or recommendations were never offered.

I liked its perfect location within Lyon and the fact that it was pretty welcoming.

Convenient.

Everything was perfect! The hotel is perfectly located, the rooms are extremely comfortable and the price was worth it. Highly recomended.

The location is great; near shopping and restaurants, and close to subway.

Room was tiny, even by French hotel room standards. Not as clean as could have been. Staff was mixed; one woman was wonderful, but two of the men weren't friendly at all. Would not stay again.

Very nice hotel. If I stay there again I'd consider a superior room for extra space.

My wife and I were seeking a hotel that looked and felt like France, not an Americanized ideal of France. The Grand Hotel des Terreaux was just what we wanted! And the staff were friendly, courteous, and helpful. The location was also great; so many cafes and shops surrounded the hotel. In one word: Perfect.

Very nice, big room with great bathroom w/ shower. Great mattress too. Excellent location too. And the furnishings were very nice.

I wouldn't say the "petite dejeuners" are a bargain at close to $40 for two, but it is more convenient to eat in the hotel. We ate t and saved $25. No complaints with the hotel, less impressed w/ Lyon.

It was a lovely hotel in a great location. Glad we chose the larger room.

The downstairs of the hotel is very pretty. We liked the lounge, which is attractively decorated, and the indoor pool.

The room was hot, as was the breakfast room. They gave us a fan, but it was still hot. So hot that we did not eat breakfast in the hotel because it would have seemed unappetizing. I thought that the hotel was advertised as being air-conditioned. In fact, only the hallways and the higher priced rooms were air-conditioned, and they were all full, so it was too late for us to purchase one at any price.

No air conditioning was an issue as it was very hot No bar fridge

staff at reception were excellent, room was small (single occupancy) but very cosy; bar was welcoming and I felt very comfortable being on my own there with a drink and a book. I thought the furnishings were tasteful and of good quality. And was made to feel very much at home in the hotel. I would definitely recmomend to others

my room was really small and hardly room to walk round the bed. It was Room 105. It was also very noisy on the floors above me but that is common to most hotels
