Score from 581 reviews Very good
Well located and a clean modern bathroom.
The pool in the breakfast area, which you have to walk to through the reception area is a bit off-putting - we were looking forward to a relaxing swim, but couldn't face it in the end since you couldn't access it privately from the rooms. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice as well - particularly since the coffee machine in the bar wasn't working when we asked for one there.
location , helpful staff , good bathroom (if unnecessarily large)
the room was very cluttered . the armchairs in the suite section were dreadfully uncomfortable . Bigger shower would have been nice .
I pretty much liked everything
Loved the pool - very quirky. Easy walk to town centre. Helpful staff.
Wifi a bit temperamental.
Expensive breakfast Smell chlorine in dining room Pool does not seem right in dining area.
Beautiful rooms, very kind & accommodating housekeeping staff.
Poor communication between front desk staff, merging our 2 separately booked reservations so we did not have to change rooms. .. very poorly handled.
Very clean, helpful staff and fantastic location in Lyon
Fire alarms very sensitive!
Pool is not for swimming, very small ( just to soak in) nice hot tub in back but it wasn't hot.
well located right in the center of the old city; friendly helpful staff
our room was warm warm, air-conditioned in name only. This affected the quality of sleep. Also, have breakfast elsewhere; the breakfast area has almost no natural light and is adjacent to the very small swimming pool, with no divider
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Rooms were fairly small. Lift was small. There was a slight drop in the floor level when entering the lift and the room.
the location is excelent for visiting.
Beds are really uncomfortable !
The staff were charming, helpful, assisted even when unasked. They returned items we'd left in the room after we'd checked out. Booked taxis. Gave helpful hints about the area. The hotel is cosy, well located and has a relaxing bar area. Rooms are well furnished given their size, everything needed is supplied including slippers and bathrobes, desk. Free wifi is a practical plus. The breakfast buffet is generous, all tastes are included.
Would be helpful to have a limited room service. You'll enjoy the hotel and the efforts of all it's staff. If there's anything you don't like there'll be every effort to assist you to improve your concerns.
the reception staff were amazing...my husband needed some medical advice and an upgrade from the airline....the staff were so helpful and considerate.....also the late night cup of tea was much appreciated
the rooms are beautifully designed and warm feeling . small but cute swimming pool
swimming hours are not convenient
Very small elevator (only fit 2 people), with extra stairs so extremely difficult to carry luggages. Hotel staffs don't help us with anything even we asked.
Excellent location. Lots if restaurants nearby. small cosy friendly hotel, dubbelbed was not the narroughest type
We liked our room but it was a bit small
Beautifully decorated, spacious room, all the extras you'd expect, a great location and helpful staff.
Nothing. Everything was perfect.
The view and the staff made this worth every cent
No taxi rank nearby, you need to cross the bridge and go a few 100m down the road, difficult when handling a lot of luggage
Check in issues. Check out issues. Ridiculous elevator. Air Conditioner issues.
This is a delightful hotel in a perfect location. It is within a 5 minute walk to "Restaurant Row" and a stone's throw to the best imaginable shopping. The wonderful market across the street and the delightful corner outdoor café make it a dream come true. Don't delay or be hesitant about staying here you will be very happy indeed! Hope this helps those who suffer from "hotel anxiety location" as I do!
No negatives, they are doing an exceptional job at very fair rates.
My husband and I travelled across France for our ten year anniversary. The Grand Hotel des Terreaux was our second stop. This hotel is ideally situated for exploring the city of Lyon. We were able to walk everywhere. There are numerous cafés in the neighborhood and shopping is also very close. The old town is an easy walk from the hotel. The staff were all very pleasant and accommodating. The room and bathroom were very clean and nicely appointed. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers.
The room was a little warm as the air conditioning didn't go as low as we would have liked but it was still a lovely stay.
Close to the center of Lyon, delicious fruits and a choice of food of good quality for breakfast, little but nice swimming pool, good beds, courteous staff.
There is no safe in the room, a parking (public) is rather expensive but OK for one night.
The swimming pool really is in the dining room. But its worth diving in. Great location. The room was ready even though we were early.
Its like a rabbit warren, even with the lift. No English TV channels.
Location, bar area, comfortable room.
Lack of fridge in room, expensive breakfast (we didn't have it.)
Location, friendly staff, cleanliness
