The westin, paris, has a lovely location and is a luxury contemporary hotel. The restaurant is excellent.. I stayed 2 years ago in this hotel, and was given, albeit a 'room with a view', we booked and payed for a large suite, and on complaint, were told that we were in a suite! We were most definetly not. This year we stayed in a superior room which was small, but it's failing is that there are no facilities to dry your hair, no dressing table or mirror in the bedroom. Its a mans room definetly with a push button dryer in the bathroom and a long mirror on the way out the door. The wardrobe for ling clothes was 10" wide!! |

They charge Euro 5 for just hot water. Sometime its comand malaysians/asians like me. Would like to eat readymate noodles such as maggie me in the room. Too expensive and not reasonable to spend Euro 5 for a noodle worthe Euro 0.20. |

Room was unexpectedly large, recently renovated Strong smell of fresh paint - looked like the room had just been renovated (see above); can be a real problem for those who can't live with it or are allergic |

Courteous and professional staff Extras such as laundry are absurdly expensive. It is literally cheaper to buy new clothes than launder them at the Westin. TIP: there's a laundry in Rue Daniel Casanova 2 blocks away that does great laundry/dry cleaning for 80% less than this hotel. Use it. Didn't like bedding - foam chip pillows ( in a "5-star" hotel?!), and definitely not the Westin Bed you get in Asia. |

Immaculately clean, large room (by Paris standards), extremely comfortable beds. Our Deluxe interior room (facing the courtyard) was perfectly quiet. Location was unbeatable: just around the corner from Cafe Angelina, a short walk to the Louvre and d'Orsay museums. I'll definitely return to the Westin on my next trip. TV connection was iffy in our room, but to hotel's credit, they readily offered to change our rooms to remedy the problem. Difficult to use TV-based internet was a bit overpriced; local & toll free telephone calls cost 4 euros per minute, which is absolutely exorbitant. No inroom coffee maker or electric teakettle, although coffee was offered for sale in the lobby every morning. |

If you book well in advance, you can usually get a great deal, especially compared to the rack rate. I look forward to a world when all hotels have free WIFI. Until, expect to pay. Alot. |
