The location was perfect for accessing both the old city of Annecy and the surrounding countryside. The room was very clean and comfortable and the bathroom was also well appointed and very clean. There was a comfortable area in the foyer where one could sit and relax, with or without a drink from the bar and a covered terrace opposite the main door which could be used for the same purpose. The access by car could be challenging as the hotel is located in a side street which also serves as the exit route for a large public car park and, as there were building works going on somewhere behind the hotel, cement lorries or hydraulic cranes could also add to the manoeuvring in and out, but this was not a major disadvantage. |

We enjoyed a very comfortable weeks stay and our room was very spacious and well appointed. Car parking throughout Annecy ia a local problem but the the hotel did their best to accommodate us and we used their basement garage facility which was worth the extra charge. |

It was within close walking distance to shopping, the old city and restaurants. The old city was charming. The room we were staying in was small for 2 people, although very clean. |

Breakfast was a good value. Proximity to town was helpful. The room was extremely small and difficult to feel comfortable in. I hit my head on the low beams during the night. Also, the internet that had been advertised as free in the room didn't work at all. |

Excellent newly renovated room. Approximately 5-10 minutes walk though the shopping streets to the old city and the lake. Hotel is hidden off the main road and lacks a little atmosphere. |

The hotel situation is excellent for shopping, restaurants, trains and the lake. The staff were friendly. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet looking out of the back of the hotel and not getting the afternoon sun. Breakfast was very adequate and reasonable. The best thing for us was calling them before and booking car parking facilities which was your own garage in an underground parking area for a nominal sum per day. Very necessary as it is extremely difficult to park in the centre of town and you are very close to the old town. The room was small but compact. One more chair would have been welcome. The shower room was too small and not for sharing. Breakfast although adequate could have had more selections. |

The hotel was extremely convenient for both public transport (being very close to bus and train station) and for the town centre and Lake Annecy. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless. Air conditioning was provided, which was very effective as the rooms at the top of the hotel can become very hot during sunny days. The only small downside was that the reception staff could have been a little more friendly, especially the male receptionist who worked on the first three evenings. He was not very welcoming and preferred to answer the telephone rather than book us into the hotel. However, it did not detract from our very enjoyable stay at the Allobroges, as we didn't need to speak to him again! |

Excellent service and location. Those who don't like Aosta's busy atmosphere shold stay in this town. Cervinia is just 40min away. Parking location is difficult to find. You need to bring your car to the hotel entrance (automobile's access seems to be prohibited, but hotel guests are permitted) to get support from the staff. |

The room was clean and the breakfast excellent. The staff was very kind and helpful. Good location to visit this agreable town. There is a private free parking and also a garage, it’s better to reserve it in advance. |

Its location - There was practically no room to move, no coffee/tea making facility, not much in the way of toiletries, I would give it no more than 2 stars |

Helpful staff; good location. Car park in a private secured garage...(would have been perfect, if I only had my new Porsche!). Quiet location, off main streets. |

It was clean and comfortable and newly renovated. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was great. It is fairly centrally located and I would recommend it to anyone going to Annecy. I would certainly stay there again. |

Situation, being within very easy walking distance from the delightful old town of Annecy and also the railway and bus station. Reception staff very good. Room did not live up to web site. It was very "compact" allthough just adequate. |

Good central location in delightful town. We were in time to take one of the hotel's free parking spaces. The room and bathroom were comfortable and clean. We did have some noise from nearby rail station. Breakfast was OK but choice could be improved. |
