Score from 261 reviews Wonderful
In the city centre, bar/restaurant open till late and serving good food, friendly staff. Room was relatively large but a bit basic.
Bathroom was fine but a little old/tattered.
Room was spacious with extra room for toilet and sink.
Room was at back of hotel (we had asked for a quiet room) with narrow winding staircase and no lift. But staff was quite helpful getting luggage up and down
Location, very clean, very good breakfast, parking
I had booked a superior room for two nights. Room was very nice and spacy. The restroom was great featuring wooden parquet! Staff was very friendly and efficient.
Wifi was extremely week in my corner room (not reachable with iPhone). Both mornings I was roused between 6 and 6:30am because the glass and trash containers below the hotel were emptied by the city services. The minibar was empty and no drinks were available in the room except of tea.
Cost and convenience to old town and restaurants
Hard to locate by auto
The friendly, courteous and knowledgable staff. Hardwood floors where my baby could play (after a bit of additional cleaning, of course).
Terrible, drowningly soft pillows.
The superior room was a good size, as was the ensuite bath and shower room. This was a corner room at the front of the hotel and was dual aspect. The king size bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Location excellent, very central. Can walk to all attractions and lots of cafés and restaurants which are reasonably priced with lots of choice.
The hotel is rated as 4 star but should possibly be rated 3 as it is very tired and dated. Our ensuite bathroom floor was lifting around the toilet and one piece of the wood had completely separated, obviously dangerous when you have bare feet. ( room 305 ) Also very noisy from 6am as the street cleaners, dustbin wagons etc, were out and the shopkeepers and Tabacs were opening up. The new bar in the hotel was very expensive,so only used once and breakfast was 16 euros per person so we went a couple of doors down to Philipe Kirn's a beautiful boulangerie/patisserie/epicerie and cafe, where coffee and croissants for two was only 6 euros. Would strongly recommend, delicious!
the "do not disturb" sign was completely ignored by the cleaning lady two days in a row.
Great location, helpful staff
Decor is a bit dated (cracked tiles in the bathroom etc.) and is not of the same standard as the pictures on the website would suggest (perhaps some rooms are, but room 214 definitely was not); breakfast is expensive for what it is; no gym.
Excellent central location for exploring city. Staff very friendly and helpful
Elevator small but normal for Europe
Loved the ambience of the hallways and the general feel to the building. The room was a good size, with tea making facilities, and a small refrigerator. Excellent staff
Breakfast is overpriced.
nice staff, good location
the hotel is old.
location.reception staff very friendly.great bakery next to the hotel.
cigarate smell in one of our rooms on the fourth floor.
Centrally located; nice ambience; breakfast ok but not outstanding
small room, very small bathroom
Clean hotel, location is very good, clean toilette.
Towels were not changed daily, AC was not very cold.
Lovely room with a great bathroom (for a couple only with shower door into room)! Really close to place kleber and 5 minute walk to the station. Comfortable and clean.
Expensive breakfast and no drink making facilities in the room.
Location, breakfast, staff
We had two rooms, one (triple) was a bit "tired" the other was well finished
Location, short walk to sights and restaurants Friendly and helpful staff
Standard rooms very small (even for a European) Pillows very small and flat
The hotel and staff were excellent. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. Great location to see all the sites and easy to get to train station.i had the premier room and the bathroom was huge, not a usual European room at all!
The pillows were thin, for an excellent room, this was it's Only downfall.
Loved the big family room, we asked them to replace a bed with a cot and that was done. The bathroom was huge too. Free wi-fi worked every where and the location was good.
The hotel is very close to the main attractions and the station. We were able to get a quiet room with air conditioning.
Excellent Location ,few mins walk to Kleber , cathedral , shopping , Petite France . Small charming boutique , old hotel , renovated comfortable rooms , Aircon . Good firm mattress . Good friendly service . Good value .
Small room size .
Friendly and helpful staff
