Hotel Odessa is a 2-star hotel ideally located in Paris, almost at the foot of the Montparnasse Tower, in a very lively district with many famous brasseries.
Score from 506 reviews Good
The room was clean with a kettle to make tea or coffee. The staff was very nice. The hotel also had a luggage holding room which was very helpful.
soundproofing not the best. You could hear other people talking and hairdryers going. The shower did not have any door so water went all over the floor. The elevator was really small.
WIFI good, location great.
Cleaning staff's attitude.
Breakfast had great selection for free continental. Great location. The tall building across the street has a restaurant at the top with the best view if the Eiffel Tower in the city
Some of the front desk employees we great others were rude!
Location excellent for arrival train station and transport connections for all parts of Paris. Friendly staff. Staff printed documents for us free of charge. Surprisingly quiet at night given location near busy station and lively night life nearby.
Door missing on shower in one room. Electronic door keys were rather tempermental however the staff helped us out when we had problems.
The hotel is conveniently located across from the Montparnasse Train Station with access to the airport, suburban and metro lines. The bed was extremely comfortable and the staff were very helpful. There is a good breakfast and facility on the premises. I would defintely stay there again!
The room was small but I expected that.
Close to 4 metro lines Cheap (1st day €25, subsequent days €15 pd) parking opposite to the hotel.
Location, comfortable, good breakfast. Everything was good. Great view from our room 501. After tiring sight seeing in Paris, it was good to be back at comfortable cosy hotel room. Nothing to complain. Will definitely recommend to all.
elevator was very small. Thats it
Good standard of fit out
Good location, helpfull staff
Very tiny rooms with tiny toilets, rooms on the roads so u can t sleep well
staff / Location / Japanese food next hotel is very good
air condition not have
Breakfast Staff Location
No air condition in room so hot or noisy if window open Bathrooms very small
We asked for a comfy bed and it was very comfy. Spacious room and bathroom, kettle and bottled water with some tea and coffee packets. Clean room and close to metro and easy access to centre of Paris.
Bathroom looked a bit tired with cracked tiles and the remains of something stuck to the bottom of the bath, but it was clean. Not many tea and coffee packets provides, so take some with you.
They did not clean the room every day
Very near to Montparnasse Gare & metro, great for travelling. A bottle of water, some biscuits and tea packets r provided.
Very small & cramped, especially toilet. Shower was very small & water will definitely spill out onto the floor during shower (due to lack of shower curtains / proper door). Fan was provided for summer, but the stand was broken. I usually sleep easy and through the night, but I woke up in the middle of night due to random strange noises. Turned on the beside lamp for a while.
nice man at the reception good selection at breakfast
bathroom was ok in terms of cleanliness BUT Needs updating and renovating as usual in Paris too expensive - you'd get more for your money in London or Barcelona.
Location near gare montparnasse station
Have stayed here several times. We like the convenience of its position and the staff are always helpful. The bathroom was clean and modern. Tea, coffee and water in the room much appreciated.
Would appreciate a plug for the wash basin. We have to buy one. I consider it a necessary item - it must waste more water by not having one.
The hotel was basic, very clean with a great shower - opposite Montpanasse Station with midday check out - just what we wanted.
Nothing negitave to say about the hotel.
Location, luggage storage, free wifi, hot water
The location is wonderful, very close to metro (different lines), restaurants and shops are also very close. The staff is very polite and always helpful.
Maybe too small rooms, but it's normal for Paris.
There are two things I find crucial in a Hotel room: clean bathroom and comfortable bed. This hotel had both, so that was the upside.
Everything else was pretty much a problem. I ordered a double bedroom and got a twin (separate single beds). The bedroom had old carpets and a very small window, which might be a problem to some people. We had problems with the bedroom keys (not our fault) and the staff crew was very rude. Finally, in the last day I asked the receptionist the call me a taxi to the airport, which she did very kindly. When the taxi driver arrived he seemed familiar to the lady. Then, when we entered the taxi, the meter was charging already 14 euros ("reservation tax") + 10 euros (for 4 luggages). I called the reception and she said that was normal (a Paris resident friend disagreed).
The location was perfect.
Everything was as I expected. Good value for the money
location is opposite with train station
1)no wifi if you live in 7th floor; 2)staff is very disunited and rude that one say yes and the other say no for the same thing; and helpless of course. 3) you can not use kitchen room if you do not have breakfast in their hotel; 4) bathroom is always blocked that you can not use for more than 5 minutes, or water will be all over the room and that's your fault.
Very good location, easy acces to subway. The hotel consists of multiple buildings next to each other, and has different types of rooms. At first we got a rather old (crappy) room, but after we asked if they had a more modern room available (as can be seen on the pictures) we got another one. That is the room we stayed in. We were very happy with that room. Modern and clean, nice beds. One window with view on the Montparnasse Tower. The room is not very large though, but for our price and this location we were happy. We stayed for four nights, and were only in the room for sleeping, showering or watching a movie on our laptop before going to bed. So we used it as our 'base' for sightseeing Paris and it worked pretty fine.
We were happy with our stay, and would book again if we had exactly the same stay (really), but we do have some remarks: Not everyone at the reception was friendly. For example: Mr. Checkin was rather grumpy, but the lady that gave us another room and did our checkout was very friendly. Pay attention to which room you get, there is a lot of difference (if we would stayed in the first room we got, we wouldn't have been so happy) The hallway is rather noisy; you can really hear the neighbours' door slam and it almost seems as if they enter your room. Shower looked nice, but the water drained too slow and the tub was not deep enough. When you don't pay attention, the water simply leaks onto the entire bathroom floor. Minor detail though, because the shower was really nice and fancy. Elevator really small and did not reach top floor. Not a problem for us (<25y.o.) but for people dependent on an elevator it is going to be a problem. We did not have breakfast, because we thought it was pretty expensive. Better to go to Brioche Doree (a french patiserie/bakery chain located throughout Paris) and grab a basic breakfast there (some coffee, juice and a croissant or petit baguette with jam and butter for around 4 euro p.p). There is one very close to the hotel on Pl. du 18 Juin 1940. We did not have breakfast in the hotel, so we can not judge that, but we doubt that you will get much more value for triple the price in the hotel (13,- p.p.p.d). We did not have a budget to spend 100,- on breakfast alone.
