The room and hotel in general were all extremely clean, fresh, neat and tidy! Staff was very friendly and helpful. I really liked the fact that the cleaners in the morning opened all the windows and ariated the place! Compliments!! Coffe and chocolate in the morning were very bad.

Good location, friendly staff. Room was very small with a slanting ceiling which was a problem when getting out of bed and hitting your head. Non-smoking room was on a smoking floor, so not really non-smoking.

The location was very convenient, quite close to the center. Shops and restaurants are close at hand. We stayed in a room on a top floor which was extremely small.

Its location, about 5 or 6 actual minutes walk from both Gare Montpanasse (the main/intercity/regional line, as opposed to the Metro + suburban lines, though the Metro connects to this station underground) and a major city bus station, is excellent. But I suggest following the Hotel's recommendation to use the closer Metro station Denfert-Rochereau (on several lines through Montparnasse) to get there. Very clean, excellent strong WiFi signal, and a comfortable modern room with very good facilities. But no English-language stations on the lcd tv. At the end of Rue Daguerre, where the hotel is located, are three supermarkets, fruit + veg stalls, and several excellent boulangeries (bakers), and many restaurants, though vegetarians have harder time getting meatless meals, hence the mention of the supermarkets. Recommended, and I would not hesitate to return! The Hotel's website stated that the rooms were soundproofed, the first mention I've seen of this "feature" in a hotel thus far. Not so in my room: I could hear both sides of an American girl's mobile 'phone conversation during the day. But, to be fair, the hotel was dead quiet at night, and I was never disturbed during any evening of my 8 night/9 day stay. I felt that the offered, extra cost breakfast represented reasonable value, but there was cheaper to be had at the McDonald's (this from a vegetarian!) at the end of the street, and in some of the boulangeries nearby. Do not let this put you off: I would return here.

The location is excellent. The street Daguerre is full of shops, restaurants and coffees. It is close to Montparnasse train station and very well communicated with the center and with airports Orly and Charles de Gaulle. I have tried other hotels in this zone and in my opinion the ratio quality/price is better for Tipi.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. There was someone at reception 24/7. My room was modern, clean and comfy. It was in a safe neighbourhood, but still close to the city. Short walk to the metro. The breakfast was little pricey at 9 Euros for continental.

The room was clean, with daily maid service. The bed was comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly and accomodating. The location was ideal for us (not our first trip to Paris) as it was not busy with too many tourists and was close to relatives we were visiting. There were 3 good bakeries within a minute walk, and there were many restaurants, butchers and wine shops nearby. Small elevator for luggage. Conveniently located close to the metro. Quiet. The room was small and the shower fan was broken. The internet did not work for the first 2 days (though they did fix it and it worked for the remaining 4 days of our stay). Wifi was not available.

Hotel staff was awesome! So friendly and helpful. There is a great street market, opened on Sundays too, if you walk out of the hotel and to the right. The staff gave us a map and helped us find the needed Metro stations, they even wrote down some french words for proteins in case we ran into only french menus. Wifi worked decently in rooms. Cut out now and then but always worked at least. Room was clean and they cleaned when we were out during the day. Gave toiletries even, toothbrush! Bathroom was clean, linens seemed clean as well. Thin walls. Every time someone turned on the water you could hear it loudly and wake up.

Staff were helpful when we complained about the room In the first room we stayed in the bed was awful - both the mattress and the frame. We complained, and were moved to a much better room. Also, sound insulation is very poor - rooms are therefore very noisy.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and sufficient. Although a "no frills" room it was perfectly adequate for us to sleep in for the night which is all we were looking for. The hotel was located in a nice safe area, a fairly quiet road with some bars and restaurants to choose from. The bathroom smelt funny. Although it was clearly clean it smelt pretty bad, like damp or mould. The only other thing is the walls are really thin. We could hear just about everything that was going on in the corridors and in the morning we could hear the cleaners cleaning every room and it was a bit of a racket! Having said that, neither of these would be reasons for me not to stay there again. The room was good value for money in a nice safe area and it was clean, and for us that's most important.

The bed was very nice and comfy , every day we got clean towels which in some hotels you don't get . The only down side was that they claim to have free wifi but it didn't really work , and I must say I have never been in a parisian hotel where the wifi works !

Proximity to montparnasse station combined with price and cleanliness of the room make the hotel a very good choice when you want to also make a train connection. To get to the room you have to cross a small outside yard which can make stairs slippery when wet.

The staff was very informative and it was so close to the train, metro, and the catacombs! The bathroom was soooo small and it stinks after a few days of use like moldy water. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything that is going on in the room next to you. The rooms are very small we could bare;y fit both of our luggage's! But the atmosphere outside was very promising and your surrounded by real french shops and bars

The staff were very good, we were staying for one night and travelling on the next day. The location is excellent for the choice of restaurants within in a few yards of the hotel and the breakfast buffet was very good with a good selection to eat. The walls are a little thin so you hear noise from adjoining rooms.
