Our room (402) was very clean & spacious. Bathroom was spacious, shower was very powerful. Staff were very friendly. Hotel location was perfect, 2 mins for the Grand Plage. The dinner in the adjoining LMB restaurant was delicious. There were plenty restaurants nearby for breakfast and lunch & dinner. We liked the Blue Cafe on the Grand Plage for breakfast, pefect place for watching the surfers.

Its central location The expensive breakfast - 18Euros even if you wanted just a croissant and coffee. The air con went off after one day and not on throughout the stay - no discount offerred. No coffee or teat facilties in room - I've stayed in may hotesl worldwide and they (almost) all offer these faciltiies. Staff didn't even know when summer time started.

The location was very good about a half a block from the seaside promenade and the beautiful surfer´,s beach. The room was very modern and very comfortable with all of the amenities that you would expect. The lobby and the dining room were dated in their appearance and sorely in need of an update. It was close to the bus and tourist information. Biarritz tended to cost more for accomodation so we expected to pay more here and we did compared to Spain and Portugal.

This Hotel may be a little past it sell by date but with good staff and lovely bar restaurant etc and very keen prices for Biarittz, it's a gem. Don't order a brandy in the bar £12!!!

Location - across from the beach and very near for shopping. Plenty of restaurants close by. Staff were helpful. While the room was comfortable, the general feel of the hotel was not a 4 star, especially considering the cost. You are definitely paying for the location.

Good less than we expected !!!. Pillows on beds are very poor quality and difficult to make comfort to sleep all the nights of week we stayed . When we booked that hotel we looked at some pictures showing all prefect and beautifull which came nothing at all to us when we arrived there Also mattress are awful and hard like in old time during the war time .Pillows - sloppy and small size to sleep for an adult . Sperate toilet and bathroom are out of date in modern time these days. Amazed to notice that skirting at front window are worn like flakes . Also missing a stooper for a sink to use washing with hot water to run waste .

Proximity to beach and all aminities. A very welcoming hotel. Bonus is the free parking provided you arrive early. Well sound proofed so you can enjoy a good night's sleep. Difficult to find. It would be no harm if the location was better explained. You cannot park outside the door as it is a clearaway

The hotel is very nice situated at the city of Biarritz ,close to the beach, walking distance from the centre with restaurants, bars ,shops. The staff is very helpful , there is a free outside parking where you can easily park your car. we stayed two nights and we had a great time .

The Grand Tonic is a beautiful hotel, the staff are very helpful, the breakfast buffet is excellent. The rooms are clean and the jacuzzi bath is a lovely bonus after a day on the beach or shopping. The hotel is very close to the beach and the centre of Biarritz and I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel.. I have no complaints about the hotel.

Very good location for shopping and the beach, easy parking in the many carparks nearby. One elevator for the hotel was not enough, usually had to use the staircase to avoid a long wait.
