Score from 773 reviews Very good
In the center of the city and across from the Vieux Port, this 4-star hotel has an outdoor swimming pool overlooking Fort Saint-Nicholas.
Score from 919 reviews Very good
This 18th-century stone building is located across from the Vieux Port, in central Marseilles. It offers panoramic harbor views and rooms with free Wi-Fi and flat-screen satellite TVs.
Score from 635 reviews Good
The InterContinental Marseille-Hotel Dieu is in a superb 18th century building in the historic quarter of Marseille, a stone’s throw from the old port.
Score from 775 reviews Wonderful
In the heart of restaurants, tour operators and overlooking the old harbour. All staff spoke very good English. Housekeeping checked each afternoon that all was fine with room which was a nice touch. Although some aspects were old it added to the overall charm.
Room a little cramped and shower very difficult to access.
Comfortable room Fairly clean Well located
There was quite a serious leak in the bathroom the first night, so bad that I had to get a new room the next morning. No hot water, cold shower (!) in the morning. Had to ask for a commercial gesture the next morning for the inconvenience (was not offered it straight away, staff didn't seem to care) Moreover, staff seemed to know about the problem so wonder why I was given this room in the first place.
Didn't like it at all, terrible smell in room and in hotel as well, hotel needs reconstruction on my oppinion, i would never give it 4 stars.
Location Value of money
great helpful staff, nicest location in the very heart of touristic Marseille. Very nice room, which was quiet, whereas the neighborhood itself is pretty noisy. Tidy, some amenities provided. No view, but you immediately get one the minute you exit the hotel. breakfast for 14 euro per person are pretty lousy but you start appreciating them immediately when you understand it's the best you can get for breakfast at breakfast time. Marseille natives despise breakfast and you get a tiny coffee and a croissant for about 8 euro))) Overall - tons of eateries in the area.
wifi is tricky. but that obviously was not what we came for))))
Very well positioned, nice staff.
Poor internet, small room smelling like tobacco.
The hotel has perfect location, at the heart of the harbour. It is very close to the port vieux, where the boat to Island If is just across the street. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful. We were given an upgrade when the type we booked was full. The hotel room is large, from the window we could see the activities in the harbour and we can take pictures of the morning view, evening view, etc. It has made our stay a great experience.
It is not a 4 stars hotel. It is maximum 2 starts. Very outdated. Everything is dirty. Bad smell in the room. It has no any facilities. I cannot understand how it is 4 starts hotel.
Location, bathroom, room had good facilities, English TV, fridge and whirlpool bath, friendly staff
Small room Not clean Poor service
Central location. Easy access to bars, restaurants and sights around the Vieux Port. Comfortable hotel, clean rooms and very friendly and efficient staff.
Traffic into/out of Marseille but that is not the hotel's fault...
just about everything. friendly staff, nice rooms, central location but still very quiet inside. Very good experience. Marseille is a great city.
WIFI was a bit troublesome but nothing serious.
The room was not very clean, and overall the hotel doesn't look like 4* one.
Needs updating, wifi slow
very think nice and cool
There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room
Good location.central to all transport.took 30min with case to train station which is douable.room good size.
Internet a pain. asked for a non smoking room.did not get it strong smell which they tried to spray out. Offered an alternative smaller room
Rooms and bathroom are very small, we could barely move around. Hallways are narrow leading to the rooms feels suffocating! We do not recommend this hotel.
We were upgraded to a room with a view of the port. Our room and bathroom was spacious and clean. Location is excellent, metro, hop on hop off bus and petit train all within walking distance. Surrounded by lots restuarants
Not a 4 star hotel by international standards, but we were very comfortable. No tea and coffee facilities in the room. Breakfast expensive.
personnel room cleanliness
no extra blancket available
Breakfast a little expensive.
very helpful and caring staff at the reception
*Very friendly staff. A very warm thank you to Constantine in the reception for his valuable help and nice attitude! Great person!
*The area especially at night is a bit rough....despite clear efforts for development. Many people just hanging around the hotel and local streets. *The area is very dirty and especially outside the hotel *No parking whatsoever! *Breakfast served in a different place/area/building than the hotel *No internet (or at least not working those days) *No particular reception (I mean entrance was very basic) *Generally not a four star hotel by no means! Two maybe...three at most, but not four!
