The lady running the hotel, She was running the hotel from taking bookings, working the desk, making breakfast, running the bar, but she still had the time to tend to our needs. She was very friendly 10 out of 10. Plenty of parking spaces. We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel INN Tours.
Would have liked a kettle in the room. The sat nav took us through the centre of Tours
too far away from everything. no bars, no restaurants, no shops near the hotel.
Staff were very helpful and free parking.
Decor a bit jaded and a bit of a walk to the city centre.
Comfortable and clean but too far from shops etc
Mixup over payment it was taken out twice and had to be refunded
Price, very friendly and charming receptionist, spoke german!!!, fast WiFi, chinese Restaurant nearby,
Restaurant was closed,
the staffs did explain detail where should I visit, appreciate that
The receptionist was very helpfull and understood english very well as we sadley could not speak French. She told us where we could get food and how to get there and explained in detail about the hotels rules and regulations
We had just driven up from Bergerac in the south of France a journey of four and half hours. When we got into our room and as we are your typical English types we where dying for a cup of tea unfortunatly there wasn't a tea bag or coffee or even a kettle ( Just a suggestion for the future hotel owner) There where just minor things wrong then with room 110 The hairdryer didn't work the plug in the wash basin didn't work and the net curtain was torn and hanging off its runner
Clean room, confortable double bed, very helpfull staf, good value for money
They let us check in early. Staff were friendly as was the white cat. A pleasant 15-20 min walk into the main centre of Tours and we felt safe doing so late at night. Good location to explore the Old Town and modern shopping area. Also easy to find when driving.
Nothing to moan about other than the lack of tea/coffee facilities which would have been welcome later at night when coming in as the hotel closed all the bar/facilities at 10pm (as was the hotel and you have to enter using a key code - though this was easy).
Comfortable and pleasant
Too far from town on foot , few restaurants nearby that were open on the evening I stayed.
We booked this hotel whilst driving through France and planned to arrive later than their closing time of 10pm. Relanie the receptionist rang us (what must have been immediately our online booking appeared on her system) to confirm our arrival time. She gave us all the details of where to park, codes for doors, keys, everything - she was so lovely, friendly and helpful. We arrived at 10.20 and she was still there! She said she had waited just to make sure we were ok and settled - she was so welcoming and made us smile - almost impossible I thought after driving for over 10 hours through Spain with two young boys. Our room was basic, but very clean and very comfy. We all slept really well. Breakfast was fresh and lots of it - and freshly brewed coffee - what a delight! The first that wasn't ready made in a vending machine!! Our stay was better than expected after reading the other reviews - it served our purpose perfectly.
rooms that joined
We just wanted an overnight stopover bed, and that's exactly what this hotel offers. The rooms are basic but clean. We were late arriving because of car trouble, which delayed the staff from going home on time, but despite this they were courteous and helpful.
It was noisy outside. Really hot. ( no air conditioning in our rooms )
Very noisy and no air conditioned at the room. Very hot room.
Good place for travellers. Friendly staff.
A bit worn down maybe.
There is no air conditioner, it was hot weather. We could not open the windows because of the noisy street. It was very difficult nite.
The only good thing about this hotel was the staff. They were very nice. Asked us to keep the motorbike outside the main door so they could keep an eye on it.
Mould in the bathroom and we did not dare to take a shower there. Cold room and the beds were not good. Everything desperetly needs an overhauling.
very good all round
Staff very pleasant and helpful indeed. The team at hotel were excellent
To be fair and non critical yet objective the hotel was weak in terms of neatness, fittings and finish quite cheap and yet not nicest part of town, bit pure 2 star really. First impressions were not good in terms of general finish and fittings. Rooms Ok but not special. Lifts were old and ropey with many missing fittings and trim missing. All in about 2 star for what looked better by web viewing. However staff really lovely in all respects. WIFI not effective
Not a single member of staff said a single word to any of us !!!! Location - a good 30 minute walk to town , through a quite run down area ( not great for solo or female travellers ) . Hotel very jaded
Smelly lift/corridors. Lack of any secure parking. a general lack of interest from the staff. No air conditioning other than an open window onto a busy street and an electric fan!
Staff were helpful
The rooms are run down, poorly designed and euipped and worst of all, grubby. Our main window, large, opened straight onto the entrance below...extremely dangerous for children as the small warning sign indicated.
Good base while exploring the chateau's of the Loire Valley. Easy car parking
Girl at reception helpful and spoke. perfect English.
Where do I start? Drove up and thought it was an abandoned building. Run down and they haven't cut the lawn in months. Not great location. Dirty and smelled bad especially in the stairway (had to hold my breath). Would not have stayed here if we'd gotten into town earlier and had time to look for another place.
Very nice hotel with the nicest staff we met in France. Clean and nice.
We had to walk a bit to the train station, but no big deal.
