It was quite. After coming back from a day of site seeing and shopping, you could get a good nights sleep. It's location was safe and close to subways and transportation. We were three ladies traveling together and we do allot of city travel. The safety and cleanliness of a hotel is most important to us. This hotel was outstanding and accomodating in all areas. Communication was easy everyone on the desk spoke very good English. They were also able to accomodate a room for 3 of us in a room in our price range and location. We chose it on line for that reason.

We liked the location, room was okay but overpriced Everyday our room was not made up until 1600 hrs(4PM)and the reason they gave is that they did not have the staff to handle the incoming customers therefore our room had to wait. We were there for 8 nights.

Friendly, courteous, helpful and efficient staff. Clean rooms and condition of place in general. Proximity to restaurants, Seine and many tourist attractions. Lack of a proper bar - not mentioned in advertising. Room was lacking in storage furniture for clothes etc - just one wardrobe and small sidetable drawers which were insufficient for worthwhile storage. Chose TRG due to experience of Best Westerns in UK but was disappointed by lack of facilities. Would recommend on strength of pluspoints listed above (see below) but with caveat re the foregoing.

Had an 8th floor room, with view of the Eiffel tower. Pretty cool! We had no issues with the hotel, other than all decent Paris hotels are very expensive, for a triple room.

I cannot fault this hotel in any way. Its location is perfect, just off the Bvd San Michel and across the road from the Place de la Sorbonne. The area is bustling and has a good atmosphere. We were two ladies travelling together and felt very relaxed and safe wherever we went. The hotel is within two or three minutes busy walk from two Metro stations, five minutes from Notre Dame and less to the Latin Quarter with all its lively restaurants and bars. The hotel breakfast is superb for 14 euros, unlimited cooked meats, eggs, cheese, cereals, fruit, coffee/tea, fruit juice, also cooked breakfast of bacon, scrambled eggs and sausage. The bread at breakfast was a joy, slightly warm and lightly crisp! It would be very easy to eat too much. The room we shared was a twin, not huge but I have stayed in smaller. It was very comfortable and the bedlinen of good quality and beautifully laundered. The fully tiled bathroom was large and as mentioned in other reviews, there was no shower curtain or screen. This was overcome by having a bath as the water was always piping hot and plentiful. My friend preferred a shower and had no problems directing the shower head without drenching the bathroom. The whole hotel is elegent and very french and extremely clean. The reception staff, day and night, were very pleasant and willing to help with bookings or information etc. All in all we were delighted with our choice and fully intend to return. We will certainly be recommending it to anyone travelling to Paris. What a delight not to have any complaints, and how unusual! ABSOLUTLEY NO COMPLAINTS!

Location was great, esp being in Saint Germain. It was close to lots of great and well known cafes and restaurants. Room had a foul smell, which we had to air the room out. The smell didn't go away despite leaving the windows open all afternoon and night. The toilet overflowed which wasn't great either. For the price we paid 260 euros for two nights, I can definitely say there is no value for money in paris! Makes you appreciate all the over cities in Europe!

I took this hotel because it was relatively close to the Metro station of St. Michel - Notre Dame. It has a supermarket close by that opens until late, and several cofee shops where you can have breakfast for 2€. The hotel is old and overpriced. It could be acceptable for being a 3 star hotel (if you did not know the price), but 150-180 € per night is just completely wrong.

THe TRianon is a lovely hotel. I stayed in the part accessed by a small, old-style elevator. I came to the Trianon after two nights in a hotel I found terribly noisy and uncomfortable. Although the Trianon was more expensive, the price differential was worth it. The bed was comfortable (though I would have preferred some choice in pillows, E.g would have been nice to have a feather (or faux feather!) pillow in addition to the standard pillows). The room was clean; I found the decor relaxing and would describe it as classic--the dresser, bed side tables and headboard are made of wood, not particle board or other fake wood which seems to abound these days. Size: I had a double bed with a small table on either side an there was still room between the wall and the bed. This room was not cramped at all. Lighting. Lights on either side of the bed; A wall light over the dresser near the closet, but no overhead light. The room could use another light source. Bathroom was a good size, not cramped. The bathtub included a shower head, etc, but as others have commented, there was no shower curtain so showering would have been messy. I had baths and used the shower head to rinse. Sound. I could hear street noise but it wasn't a noisy street (it is off Blvd St Michel); I heard my neighbours come and go but did not find it distracting and I did not hear conversations or televisions. I could hear the plumbing, e.g. water running, but it was not constant and did not disturb me. Staff were very good. One woman at the front desk knew Swedish as well as French and English; she may have known more! My friench is poor, so I appreciated the English skills of the staff. A lovely, clean, very comfortable, attractive property in a great location, with professional, courteous staff. I would stay at the Trianon Rive Gauche again. My only complaint about my stay was that I felt very hurried on the morning of my check out. Checkout is at noon and yet, my door was opened by a cleaning staff member at 10am; the knock was light and before I could respond, the door was opening. Then at 11:30am a cleaning staff person knocked on my door again. There should be better communication about weather or not a guest has check out to prevent these types of incidents.

The hotel is very well located.Besides, it is in a very quiet street. Besides, there is double glas on windows, so noise from outside did not disturb us on 4th floor. There are Velib and Autolib stands in front of the hotel. Good places to have breakfast on next block if needed. One can walk to Notre Dame and Luxembourg Garden within some 10 min, as well as to Quartier Latin's restaurants. Front desk people very kind. Bathroon is renewed and very clean As most, possibly all buildings in this neighbourhood the hotel is located in an old building. Our room had a permanently locked door to another room. While this could be useful when acomodating big families or groups of friends in adjacent rooms, it provided very low noise insulation from the other room. People talking to the telephone could be easily heard.

Staff was very courteous and attentive to all needs. The rooms are small but for the price it is great value. Location Location Location!!! Walking distance to shopping cafes, Louvre, Metro, RER, Notre Dame etc. Housekeeping staff did an excellent job of cleaning the room while we were out. The room used to get out of shape with our 1-year old. We had no complaints and will stay again at this hotel. The street in front of the hotel is used as a parking so the entrance is blocked with cards. It is a little inconvenient to carry luggage over the parked cars into the hotel. Tip the cab driver a little extra and he will do the heavy lifting for you :)

Room was very clean and it was a great location to be in. The hotel was close to everything. I The staff was not very friendly. They were not bad just cold and distant. The room was very small as was the bathroom. Breakfast is very expensive for what you receive. We ate at one of the hundreds of coffee shops in the area at about the price for the same things the hotel was offering. I would try another hotel next time. Maybe it would be the same but I would try another anyway.

Staff was lovely. We lost a baby glove, and the hotel posted back to us free of charge and we greatly appreciated it. The rooms are small and there is not much additional space with the bed in the room. But I suppose that is Paris.

The location was great for a family trip to Paris. Close to the Louvre, shopping, the river, Notre Dame, lots of fun restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I wouldn't say I disliked anything. If this is your first trip to Europe you may be surprised by the space and "newness" of things. As far as a european hotel it was very good for the price and location. Coming from small city Canada one expects bigger beds, more space, and everything to be newer for a much lower price in general.

The view out our windows (7th/top floor) was fantastic! We could see Notre Dame, Sacre Couer, Eiffel Tower, etc. The location was nice, a short walk to the Luxembourg metro and nice enough neighborhood. The tradeoff of being on the top floor was having to take the stairs from the 6th to the 7th floor because the lift only went to the 6th floor. Otherwise, very nice hotel and staff.
