Excellent time, excellent, helpful and smiling staff. Great. Even with the bed and doubtful cleanliness of the floor of the room, looking forward to go back there.
The lower part of the bed was looking damaged. And clearly, the vacuum-cleaner didn't pass in the room before us coming in. Very strange at that level of prestige.
Resident of the hotel should be told in advance that they mey not be able to dine in the restaurant.
Good location for visiting Palace. Well equipped hotel. Good food albeit overpriced.
Temperature in room was too high and could not be adjusted. As an HHONORS member I could not redeem points for the booking as the booking was made through booking.com and not directly through the establishment. This should have been outlined on the booking page.
bathroom, friendly staff
a lit bit far from RER station by foot...should take a taxi!!
Location next to Versailles palace and the decoration of the main lobby
Upon arrival the receptionist convinced me to move my room to a much expensive room, I figured why not it's Christmas I can pay for the experience. She promised a nice room amounting to almost 600 euros for 2 nights. We didn't realized after we were all unpacked, settled in, spent all day outdoors and it is time for bed that the elevator right outside our room 220 would make this horrible noise. You hear people right outside as well. I should have said something right away but it was really late at night, we have a very tight schedule the next day with our short trip to Versailles and Paris sight seeing, I really didn't want to go through the hassle of packing up/unpacking again. The following night the same thing, my 9 year old can't sleep past 0100 and we were woken up again by 0630!!! I called the front desk this time and complained and ask to get charged only with my original booking price (160 euros less) the manager said no, too late, you didn't say anything the first night. So our Christmas night was not a good experience not being able to sleep well in this over rated over priced hotel! Don't be fooled like me. Stick to your original booking, don't be fooled also paying for a 30 euro per person breakfast when there are plenty of good bakery and coffee shop just a short walk away.
The public spaces were lovely, they had all sorts of facilities we did not avail ourselves of (gym, pool), but small things were amiss. When we pointed these items out, the staff were very courteous and helpful. They were wonderful with our large, old & well-behaved great dane.
Bits and pieces in our room were faulty ... just by chance we had 5 minor things go wrong in 2 days. I was disappointed that the WIFI was not available free of charge in our room (in this day and age); it was supposed to be free in public spaces, but we were still unable to connect.
Great location for visiting Versailles; views of the Palace and Park are unbeatable; very comfortable rooms, all the extras - toiletries, gowns, in room safe - are provided.
Wi-fi charge for room is way too excessive, valet parking is irritating with lots of waiting around, breakfast is just average, no soap tray in shower
A beautiful building in a wonderfully quiet location. Lovely large room and very comfortable bed. Friendly staff and excellent pool. Beautiful Christmas decorations.
The restaurant and bar prices are prohibitively high and the room felt a little tired. It also had a coat hanger left on the bedroom floor. The bath and shower fittings were difficult to use and the plug control wasn't secured. The room was next to the lifts so sleep was constantly disturbed by noisy guests.
The room was beautiful, the service excellent. Everyone was extremely helpful and so kind. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The restaurant was delicious. It was a pleasure to stay in this hotel. The location is the best in Versailles.
This hotel is perfectly located to explore the Palace of Versailles and the lovely town. The restaurant (not the Gordon Ramsey one) was excellent. Spa facilities were great. Staff were welcoming.
We had a noisy bedroom - something to do with the pipes, I think. However, we didn't bother to complain as we were only there for 2 nights. Maid service didn't arrive until 4pm, by which time we were using the room and didn't really want them. Minor points, though.
Very friendly personnel. Good food in the restuarent. Location is perfect for sightseeing. Very comfortable with small children. We had an additional installed. Very good swimming pool.
The breakfast, lack of attention to detail.
London priced cocktails.... = pricey...
Breakfast, restaurants, swimming pool
That the room was not in the main building. Should mention about that in more proper way
Wonderful all round
The staff are very nice The location is fantastic The pool is pristine The gardens are very nice
A hotel which charges you extra for breakfast is pathetic. The hotel itself is a little bit soulless. Children's club offered at an additional charge, is bad PR
The location is beautiful just outside paris, perfect for a romantic quiet break with the grounds of the palace of versailles right next door. Helpful and accomodating staff although you would expect that with the overall cost
Food and room service over priced. Not much choice for gluten free allergies. No jacuzzi. Also the cancellation of the pre authorisation took 24 hours to clear so when I checked out I had technically paid twice for my stay as I had to wait 24 hrs for the money to come back into my account.
Beautiful hotel, quiet surroundings. Staff friendly and very helpful. We had a room in the Pavilion and this was spacious and quiet.
Location and facilities makes this place ideal for those who appreciate high quality of stay. Staff is very helpful, exactly how you would expect it. Drinks served at a bar are made with high eye for detail, and include some matching bites. Room is clean, neat, bed sleeps just perfect.
Some small touches for some reason are forgotten, like dust on the top of the mirror in the corridor (and you see it just from above when walking a floor higher)
All of it
None of it
Quality of room: sink that did not drain, bath tub that did not hold water, bedside telephone no-functional, strange decor, indifferent staff in Veranda Restaurant, the Gordon Ramsey Restaurant CLOSED both nights of our stay...
The rate of the hotel is too high. The meals prices are too high. Air condition is poor.
We liked being able to walk into the park and up to the Palace from the hotel. The building is attractive in a garden setting and has a magnificent main dining room. The staff were very responsive. We enjoyed the swimming pool.
We were disppointed to find twin beds pushed together (with no mattress topper to soften the mattress join) and therefore no bedside table on one side of the bed.
