Golden Tulip Little Palace  

Huge room (for Paris), we had a triple/suite for our family of four, kids in the ante room and us in our own room (with door to separate if desired). Great layout, beautifully decorated, fabulous bathrooms (one full and one half bath), very helpful staff (made me a salon apt, assisted w river cruise, dining options, etc). Frig/mini bar in room. Very clean. Lovely lobby. Park across the street was nice for kids. City bike rental right outside the door! Metro station right there as well! Short walk to board a hop on-hop off bus tour; also 10 min walk to river. Secure parking nearby if w car (as we were) @ 35 euro/day. I had originally intended to train into the city and booked this hotel because it looked walkable from train station and had adequate space for my family. Quiet area, but very close to many bars and restaurants.

The staff (especially the girl at check-in) was friendly and attentive despite occassionally appearing busy and chaotic. While waiting for a room, they let us choose between two available rooms. We took the room in back with larger bathroom rather than the room in front with view of the park and very small bathroom - the bathroom was nicest part of the room. I would stay here again if I got a better rate (ie, breakfast included) and the larger bathroom.

Checking-In: We were given a key card to someone else's room, so we were worried that it could happen to our room too. Room Entrance: a curtain rod fell down first minute in room, and upon closer inspection, the plastic fixtures were broken. It never got fixed during the stay. Tv and desk were somewhat dusty and mirror was not thoroughly cleaned (smudged). The safe was too small for an Ipad. There was only one electrical jack inconveniently located by door rather than one on each side of bed for two people's iphone's and cameras. Resting in Privacy: Walls were thin, hence sometimes noisy. We could people upstairs talking, and wading thru water in bath tub. Quality for Price of a 4 star not up to par with other 4 star hotel stays in europe: I would have expected breakfast included and a larger room for that price and quality in comparison to other 4 star stays.

Location is great even near is big street and lot a travels a car but hotel was silens. Ewery think found just near hotel and not needed use a taxi etc.

Location and decor in general (including staff demeanor)

The size of the room. Extremely small. Bathroom way too small and shower with scarce water pressure.

Paris looks unsafe and dirty at night. This place was a beacon of light and security in the rough. The service was outstanding from the night and morning counter. The bathroom was amazing w/huge tub, everything new, and even heated towel rack. Recommend to anyone! So close to travel, we walked to station w/heavy baggage.

Small rooms

We were early for check-in, but staff offered us a coffee and asked housekeeping to do our room first. Also, they advised us on an (excellent) restaurant, made the reservation for us, and even got us a discount. Hotel and room were nicely decorated, room was clean and comfortable, probably renovated not long ago. Good bed, nice bathroom with all amenities. Breakfast was fine, tasty bread, friendly service, and good variety of food. Hotel is perfectly situated for trips into Paris, right next to metro entrance, opposite a nice little park, and plenty of shops and bars.

Can't think of anything - the elevator was a tad small, we didn't mind but perhaps for elderly or disabled people that might be a minus.

Even though my first reservation for two people, it turned out to be three at the end. I applied for the change via your website and nobody called or replied back from booking.com. So I handled my own reservation directly with hotel. It was something first that I experienced with booking.com. For your info. Rest was okey about hotel. Regards,

Renovated but nevertheless old building, small and narrow rooms

Very friendly and helpful staff. Perfect location - walking distance to a lot of high spots. Wireless connection worked very well.

The superior room we got was badly planned and the extra square metres were useless. The bed was only 150 cm, However the bathroom was huge. We changed to a smaller but much nicer room .There was a desk and two chairs in the room - enough to sit and work.

The personel were excellent and very helpful. The location was very good with the metro close by and many interesting places within walking distance. It is also only a couple of stops on line 4 from Gare du Nord.

I know French breakfasts are not a specialty, but this continental only breakfast was very meagre. Space in the bathroom was limited, but just sufficient.

Very quiet rooms. Convenient to the metro and to the public parking.

The rooms were way too warm, we had to keep our windows wide open all day and night during our stay.

the guy next door was snoring and the sound proof of the hotel is NONEXISTENT! As a result I slept for only 2 hrs the first night and totally ruined my next day's work... I went to reception to ask for a solution and they say they the rooms are fully booked and they can do nothing... the next day they changed my room but the first day's experience was really horrifying. Worse than a hostel, really.

The hotel's staff are very nice. The room is not small and is always clean. The Internet (Wi-Fi) works very well. We had a wonderful time in the Golden Tulip

The soundproofing between rooms was non-existant, I could hear everything happening in the adjoining rooms, including at 5am!

The wifi was not very good, in fact it was very difficult to log on.

Location is really convenient, 5 minutes walk to the lively St. Denis street, 10 minutes walk to the Cite, metro right next to the hotell. Room was nice and clean, with a lovely balcony.

Room was quite small. You could hear the other guests through the walls, it was difficult to sleep with the noisy neighbours. Toilet had a glass door :)

The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The Hotel minibus came in very helpful to save us from the Paris taxi-system and traffic.
