I returned to Turenne Le Marais because it is a quaint French hotel located very close to the metro and in the fabulous Marais district. Even though the metro is so close, we actually strolled from our hotel across the entire city of Paris and back in one day--a lot of walking, but so interesting and safe! There are lots of great restaurants and bakeries nearby as well as some super shops to pick up interesting and quality reminders of your beautiful stay in Paris. I will continue to stay at this hotel whenever I return to Paris. The hotel has a buffet breakfast, but it is terribly expensive-- 13 Euros per person. It's convenient, but so is the lovely French boulangerie/patisserie just down the street on Rue de Saint Antoine which is much less expensive and delightfully authentic.

Excellent location within walking distance of most of iconic sights of Paris. Metro is close by. Restaurants abound & shopping terrific. The Marais is a great place to stay in Paris. We were very impressed by efficiency of reception staff. When we inquired about a shuttle to the airport, the young woman immediately booked it for us & confirmed it the following morning. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

It is a small but lovely hotel, and it has probably the best service in Paris, if not in EU. The room was spotless, the service was at the level of 4 stars. I am traveling a lot, for business, around Europe, and I can vouch that they did their best to satisfy all our demands. We had a huge room, for Paris/London standards, with a small balcony! There is absolutely nothing to say - it was great!

The location was marvelous...a short walk to Pont Sully which crosses right onto Isle Ste. Louise....also a short walk to Place des Voges and Bastille Square.....buses and St. Paul subway stop just around the corner. The staff were friendly efficient and helpful. Also....we found our bed very comfortable and slept well! We didn't have the breakfast because there were so many lovely cafes and bakeries just steps away. Room was small but really needed only for sleeping as there is so much to see in Paris. My only complaint...and it is minor, was the blowdryer which was kept so close to the wall by an incredibly short cord...it was tricky to use!

This was my first visit to Paris. Everything about the hotel was fabulous . The location was central to St. Paul, close to the metro, and a great place to walk in the neighborhood. I would stay there again on my next visit to Paris. I was on holiday for 4 days, the room had little space for storage and I am a light traveler.

The hotel was chosen from both moderate pricing, good standard and excellent location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beds/madrasses was a bit to firm for our taste.

Location, near metro St. Paul and Place des Vosges. A tray with a kettle, tea and coffee. I always request a quiet room and am given it. The morning receptionist is exceptionally helpful.

Fantastic place - if you want a balcony it's a little noisy, but the trade off for having one is well worth it. Nice parisian street view.

1. Staff. We had complications arriving that delayed us until early morning hours. The staff was not only there waiting on us but very reactive to our needs and getting temporary parking arrangements and 2. They do speak english and are very friendly. Having never been to Paris before I'd heard stories of rude treatment, slow restaurants. I found the opposite: good service, friendly staff at Turenne Le Marais. I DEFINITELY will return and work on french to improve the experience elsewhere. It's a good idea to establish a home base hotel where they actually speak your language and care about your well being. 3. Location: near hip, trendy restaurants. Also an easy walk to Notre Dame. 4. Very affordable. 5. parking was around the corner in public lot for 21 euro a day - had access to the car to stash things there. I would like it all to myself and can't have that.

We stayed at the Turenne because we were going to the Bastille Opera House. It was so easy to get from the Gare du Nord in Paris to the Bastille underground station, a direct route with no changing. You would not describe this hotel as luxurious and therefore pretentious in my view, but great value, clean, friendly, helpful in every way. A pleasure to stay in. I will definately consider this hotel for Paris when coming again. It is in one of the best parts of Paris as far as I am concerned, unpretentious, but wonderfully interesting, arty, and near to some very interesting Cafes, and restaurants if you like hunting for them. Nothing, It is remarkable value for money, and you would not expect a huge room for the money, it was perfectly adequate.

Location was excellent, off rue st Antoine / rivoli with excellent shopping and people watching. Close to centre Pompidou, Bastille, metro with direct links to most attractions and Gare de Lyon where I needed to be after my weekend break Well its always easy not to like something....if you are fussy, you will find something to complain about but it was just a place to sleep and move on to sightseeing I do wish a double bed were a double bed though...pushing two twins together will NEVER be a double...comfort was off... And more English channels on TV will be good, just had CNN
