Cleanliness of bathroom. Reasonable breakfast. Air conditioning.

1] The young man on reception was very short tempered, although when he calmed down he did find a solution to the problem [see below no. 2] 2] Your website is very unclear: twin or double bed" - I clicked on twin on the website but was told by the man on reception that I could not make that choice. Twin beds are not the same as a double bed!!

Locale is great. Plenty of busy restaurants, especially creperies, right on the doorstep, and good atmosphere in neighbouring streets. Very handy for Metro and direct bus link to Gare du Lyon for our onward journey. Reception staff were helpful. We loved the little courtyard where our room was located. Very peaceful and pretty for a quiet drink to end the day. Duplex room was fine, comfortable enough for our needs. Would use again as good value for money.

Facilities were much as expected, although it would have been nice to have a kettle in the room.

Nice and central Hotel close to the many landmarks one wants to see. I recommend to use the City Bikes to hire that have stations everwhere in Town, and also close to the Renoir. Ask the always friendly staff how it works. And stop complaining about small rooms. You are in Paris for Gods sake. Ours was just right. You can always find the roomsize on the website, and are welcome to compare with all the other places in this marvelous city.

Good location, near Montparnasse Train and Metro station, on-suite bathroom, clean and it has an elevator. The staff were friendly and helpful for Paris standards.

Don´t stay there. The picture on the ad is not real. They offered this hotel but send you to a ¨sister´ hotel down the street. Probably for the people that get a ¨deal´ on Pay a bit more somewhere else. The bathroom curtain had stains, there is a lot of noise from bars downstairs and also from the elevator, the bed was horrible. If you have back issues..good luck! The A/C smelled.

Unfortunately, the only good thing was that there is a Velibstand close by.

Unfortunately, our stay at the Unic Hotel turned out to be a very bad experience. It already started upon arrival, when we were given the wrong room key and entered a room that was already occupied by two people… Makes you wonder who they give your room key to when you are not in your room?... After checking out on Sunday, we left our luggage in the luggage room and came back after visiting Paris to pick the luggage up and head to the train station. Only problem: my suite case was missing. The receptionist assured me it must be a mistake and another guest must have taken the wrong suite case. What surprised me is that the room was not locked and I was told that the client who took the wrong suite case “must have forgotten to lock the room and give back the key”. What was disappointing is that I had been lied to, because the room does not have a lock or an option to be locked. I was even more surprised, that they just let guests go into the luggage room and take their own suitcases (or someone else’s). In order not to miss my train, the hotel assured me they would find the person who took my suitcase instead of theirs (at this point it was not sure whether my suitcase was stolen or not) so I left them a list with all my belongings which were in the suitcase and they promised that they would check everything is in there before sending it to me. The suitcase returned to the hotel 2 days later– but it took a full 3 weeks for it to get back to me (since it was the hotel who didn’t lock the room and every guest could pick up whatever they wanted I was expecting them to at least sent it first class back to me). The staff was not very helpful with providing me with a DHL tracking number, as the hotel director apparently sent it himself and had gone on holiday during the 2 weeks I tried to get hold of him in order to find out where my suitcase was.

Location is excellent close to the metro and with many nice restaurants, wine bars and pubs in the immediate vicinity

Rather run down and basic (like so many Paris hotels)

The place is good, near two metro stations (one of them is connecting many lines)

Room cleanliness less than the average. Breakfast does not match their prices (coffee and two muffins with yogurt). The shower cabin is very small.

Nice location...metro stations just 2 mins walking distance which connects to the main attractions....staff were really helpful and available all the time..rooms are clean..value for money...I would recommend this hotel to everyone...

Every thing is ok except the space on the rooms..rooms are very small.but nevertheless most of the time we were outside...hotel is just to fresh up and to sleep...

We traveled in a pax of 3, and opt for the 3 bed room. That entitled us to a duplex unit, with a small living room at the ground floor with queen size sofa bed & 1 pulled out single bed. The top floor had a proper queen sized bed. Essentially we got a accomodation that fits 5 for the price of 3 pax. Room was clean and well kept by daily housekeeping, though there was a piece of bread left by previous customer at the kitchen cabinet. In room facility was adequate, 1 TV at each floor, with heating facility throughout the unit. Hotel location was easily accessible by metro (Montparnasse station) which is 5-10 minutes walk. City centre is 15-20 minutes away. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

    - They charged eur5 for wifi (24hour validity) - the staircase leading from ground to upper level was spiral type, not recommended for those with limitation.

Very good location - very near the Metro so it's easy to go around. A lot of restaurants around the vicinity so dining is not a problem. The room and bathroom are big enough for me and my friends (3 pax).

No free wifi, we had to pay 5 euros (one-time payment for the whole duration of the stay).

Not so much a value for money - just had what have been paid for. The reception staff was not responsive or supportive enough. I would pay a bit more for a better quality.

I liked the location. Very central and easy to get to several Metro stations. Lots of good restaurants in the area also. The receptionists and chamber maids were very service minded and friendly.

The room. I booked the room based on pictures and description on the website. The reality was totally different from what I was led to expect. I will actually call it misrepresentation. The room was miniscule - no room for luggage - and the shower too small to use. Tiles were falling off the bathroom walls and curtains were hanging half on/half off the hooks - and nobody fixed it! Also the staff in the breakfast area was unwelcoming and sour.

We stayed at Hotel Renoir Saint Germain. Staffs except for 1 man at both Renoir and Unic were all annoyed us with bad attitude such as private talk over the mobile phones, never care about guests to wait. At Hotel Renoir Saint Germain, there was no emergency exit from the room to escape, safety box was broken (never repaired even requested.) and etc.

2 days experience: very tiny rooms, shower cabin 60x60cms: don't move! dirt in the sink coming up from the pipes, no hot water for the shower, elevator breakdown. as there is no technician in the hotel staff, repairs all take time. this hotel should be excluded from any respectable list
