Uitstekende locatie, alles op loopafstand, mooie tuin, vrij recent gerenoveerde badkamer. Meubilair van de kamer is erg oud en smoezelig, schreeuwend om dringende renovatie.Hotel was vol met Franse AOW-ers die vroeg opstaan en buiten met elkaar voor het ontbijt keihard babbelen. |

Prachtig gelegen, luxe maar nostalgisch hotel. Typisch voor de Franse Middellandse Zeekust. Het park onderstreept deze sfeer. Voor 6 euro per dag je auto parkeren is een prima bijkomstigheid. De overdekte parkeerplaatsen zijn wel erg smal. |

Bij aankomst bij het hotel, was onze indruk zeer goed door de imposante uitstraling dit mede door de tuin. Het ontbijt was voor de prijs p.p zeer matig, en zou ik dan ook niet direct aanbevelen. |

Ontvangst en behulpzaamheid Nachtportier was/is niet op de hoogte van digitalezaken Reserveringen en betalingen en bij afrekening geen factuur in de map of wisselgeld aanwezig. dit is vind ik een slechte zaak ik weet tot op edennog steeds niet of mijn verblijf betaald is. En onderhoud mag ook iets beter douche kop was kapot en was 2e dag nog niet gerepareerd. |

We enjoyed the 'belle epoque' atmosphere' of this hotel, the garden, the large space and the professional attitude of the staff in reception There is much noise (especially for the rooms situated on the back side of the hotel) from a railway (trains passing every 30-45 min). I was surprised to be charged the price of one night at the time we made the booking and the rest of the whole bill two days before arriving at the facilities (debited directly on the credit card). This is not explicitly explained in the terms and conditions described for booking. The staff responsible for cleaning shall refrain for speaking loud on corridors before 09:00 A:M |

Hotel is located in the central area of the city , close to the beach and the town center ( couple of minutes walking distance ) , and has an excelent quality/price report . There was a strange smell in the corridors , but having in mind that the hotel is quite old - its normal I guess . |

Elective activities offered; good atmosphere in the foyers and at breakfast on the terrace; good standard of breakfast; charming local French customs displayed in the hotel and park Not really; the bar served wine in cognqac glasses. Overall we thought it was an authentic, unique and wonderful experience. Our names should have been accurately recorded. My husband is Mr. Jeffrey Hallebone and I am Professor Erica Hallebone. The garden is very nice. Hotel staff is friendly. Clean rooms. We were placed on the first floor right across the Restaurant. Not pleasant at all to feel the smell and hear the noise during each meal. Also when entering the room everyone in the restaurant could see in my room through the open door. And booking.com recommended this hotel. I would expect another treatment in this case as their client. Also some problems with the hot water. Other than that everything was nice. |

Impessive building and lovely gardens with calm atmosphere. Convenient to beach and town centre. Nice and quiet. 24-hour reception. No bath gel or shampoo provided. Bar only open at certain times and closes at 10pm. Staff ok but not too friendly. Friendliest staff I met were 2 English students working at reception and night-time staff |

It was the idea of the orange and lemon trees which finalised our decission. But two of the reviews we read were very discouraging. Our opinion is fantastic. Old hotel modenised with the charm retained. Just what we like. And after being in a similar priced hotel in Nice it was such a relief to have total quiet - we listened at night - and almost no sounds - we slept with the windows wide open - and were not disturbed. Just two of the staff speak good English (they are British and could always be called when we needed some help) but that was no real problem as the others were very friendly and most things are possible with two or three words of French. |

Location in Menton is good. The room is big but should new renovate again. Only one reception staff can speak Eng, anyway she's very nice. But when she's not there, no one can answer me in Eng. Most of things in the hotel is in France, no Eng. I can't understand France. So it's not good for the tourist from the other country, not international. Check-out is 9.30, that's too early. |
