Score from 964 reviews Good
The location is good, near the train station and you can get many restaurants walking. The staff is excellent, the room is nice with a kind of old furniture, the bed is very comfortable.
The hotel needs a lift, the stairs are terrible to carry heavy luggages.
helpful staff tiny room
very limited choice of breakfast
Absolute gem of a hotel, with charming, helpful owner who was very welcoming despite the fact I arrived very late. Beautifully furnished room with view over tranquil inner garden. Very comfortable bed and the room was just such a relaxing environment. I would have been happy to pay twice the price - value for money is outstanding and I would definitely recommend this lovely hotel to everyone I know. Indeed it would be worth coming back to Tours just to stay here again.
I booked my room online at 10.20 pm send arrived at the hotel 15 minutes later. The huge wooden front door was locked and no one answered when I rang the bell. I had to bang hard several times before the owner looked out of a window to speak with me. But that is a small criticism of what turned out to be the find of the year!
location, staff, value.
the building is a bit old, the wood floor is a bit noisy while walking on it.
Great Location, free parking space across the street in the evening
No elevator in the hotel, no convenient to the customer with big luggage
Located just a short walk from the Tours train station, the hotel is conveniently located. Great for your visit to the Loire Valley. I would also highly recommend that you consider the ACCO-DISPO minibus tour that leaves just steps from the hotel in front of the tourism office. You can enjoy visiting many of the chateau without the hassles of driving, finding parking etc...The front office staff of the hotel is also very friendly and helpful.
Very close to the train station. Room was nice, clean and comfortable and had everything we can need for the short stay.
When we arrived at the hotel at 8 p.m. the reception girl told us, with her rather poor French, that they tried to charge my guaranty credit card because of another client who failed to pay thirty minutes before our arrival. This is despite my phone confirmation one hour before that we are coming at 8 p.m. and despite of any notice of this initiative in their booking policy. I don’t understand why others should pay for one dishonest client? These are traditional risks of hotel business. THIS IS NOT MY PROBLEM!!!
We received a very warm welcome on arrival. Our room no. 6 was very quiet, was very clean and the bed was comfy. The hotel is well situated being across the road from the train station and the tourist information office from where all the tours start.
Location Nice quaint hotel Staff helpful and friendly Clean
Welcome from efficient and friendly lady was outstanding. Charming, small hotel in excellent location a stone's throw from the railway station. Good value for money.
Not a lot to dislike - a lift would have been welcome, perhaps, as we were on the second floor but not a real complaint.
Room was spacious and nicely decorated
Bed made me sweaty, maybe rubber underlay?
Great location, helpful staff and excellent breakfast
Thought this was a great hotel. Really lovely staff and nice and clean rooms.
Convenient, clean, comfortable
Shower was a bit tiny
Location & staff helpful & friendly
Great hotel. Good parking. Staff person gave great restaurant recommendation and directions.
paid parking and steps up to bathroom was weird but fine. No Elevator.
Close to the train station, good breakfast
Close to train station Classic room design Wooden floor Clean
No air condition Noise traffic outside when open window at night
Comfortable and very reasonable hotel in centre of Tours. Excellent position for the city centre and the train station. We had a very large quiet room overlooking the garden at the rear and were very pleased. It appears from other reviews that the rooms do vary so ask in advance for a large room!!
Very close to train station. Charming room with excellent modern bathroom - it was terrific to have a hot bath after a day of walking! Lovely view over gardens. Friendly staff.
Location - excellent. Charming décor in line with a traditional French town house. Reasonable rates.
Breakfast very limited and unimaginative. Little or no soundproofing. No common recreational/lounge area.
Very close to the train station and the tourist office. We had a room facing the garden so it was very quiet. Beds were nice and comfortable. Excellent shower. The hotel, which has a lovely ambiance, had everything we needed for a short stay.
Only minor quibbles - there was only one pillow per bed. No tea/coffee making facilities in room (but then, hardly any hotel in France has those).
Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast.
Good staff Next to railway station and car rental short walk to old city
top floor bedroom very hot; needed fan all night
good location, helpful reception
no elevator, facilitie old, no air condition
