Val Girard    

The room was very clean, beds comfortable. Bathroom was very large, and immaculate. Windows that open gave us fresh air. Convenient to a tube stop & small shopping area. Staff helpful & friendly.

The breakfast was expensive, 13 Euros p/P. Bakery was just a block away however!

Staff were very helpful, friendly. Travel delays separated our party of four with no european phones so we were very grateful the front desk called our Parisian friends when our other party arrived. Rooms were comfortable, clean, quiet at night. My 85 year old mother used the elevator, which was just right. On opening the casement window we could see la tour Eiffel. Our group of four went to a wedding at the 15th arondissment Mairie just a block away. There was a fete de Bretagne in the square. We took the 39 and 80 buses for inexpensive sightseeing and authentic experience of the city. Val Girard is a beautiful boutique hotel. I would like to return.

We had a little confusion on names in the area with Val Girard and Vaugirard, and with the correct and closest Metro stop.

The rooms were pretty nice.

The elevator was WAY too small. The shower holder holding the shower head in the bathroom was broken. There was mold/mildew around the bathroom walls.

We loved the location of the hotel and the brilliant view of the Eiffel Tower. We found our room very comfortable and clean with a good bathroom and shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful and our stay here was very enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend Hotel Val Girard to others!

This is my second time to stay in this hotel and I will definitely come back again. The staffs are friendly as usual and the room is clean and comfortable.

Very nice boutique hotel in a great location. View of the Eiffel Tower from the hotel and easy access to the metro. Safe neighbourhood.

Standard Rooms were very small but that is to be expected in Europe. Family Room #306 is more in line with North American standards, we would definitely book this room for our return stay.

Stayed at the Val Girard with my girlfriend for two nights for New Year's Eve, lovely little hotel, the reception staff were excellent, rooms were very clean and had a nice decor to them, location was brilliant, was only a few stops on the metro from the Eiffel Tower. Absolutely loved Paris, soo much to see and do. Have to say tho that New Year's Eve at the Eiffel Tower was a bit of a letdown, no fireworks or anything rly, bit of a shame but, still had an awesome night!

Great hotel, centrally located in the heart of Paris. Perfect hotel especially when you're out and about in Paris and need a comfortable place to stay. Very friendly personnel, very helpful when you have any questions.

Small rooms, but when you're in Paris as a tourist, who needs a big hotel room? Unfortunately the air conditioning wasn't working properly.

Nice location near metro stop, and comfortable and nicely decorated rooms. Having a view of the Eiffel Tower outside my window was a surprise bonus!

what i liked about this hotel is the compact feel to it not like some of the big chain hotels just in the front door straight up the stairs to the room no big long corridors.plus ther is a metro about 50 meters away and a velib station just around the corner

not really a complaint but although there is a great view of the eiffel tower you have to hang out the window to see it it would have been nice when sitting drinking a coffee in the morning to look out at some thing other than the apartments straight across the road. but as i knew all this before booking i should not complain

The shower was good.

Bed was uncomfortable and very hard. Room was boiling hot and air conditioning not working. Horrific noise throughout the night with people loading and unloading things up and down the stairs at 2am! Told reception all of this when booking out and offered no discount at all.

Welcoming, comfortable hotel with good breakfast and well placed to discover Paris

I thought that Val Girard was a 4 star hotel with a swimming pool??? I really thought that I saw this on the website. I spoke about this to the hotel staff and they said: no, we are far to small. But how could I have imagened this?? It was on a website I found through Google maps. What can you tell me? Best regeards, Marga Beumer

The location is exellent with a wonderful view to Eiffel tour. The rooms are clean and have everything what you need.

the lift and the rooms are quite small, but for 2 or 3 days it's doesn't matter.

My bedroom hadn't been cleaned properly when I checked in. There were hairs on the carpet at the entrance. I called the lady at the reception who just came up and removed it with her hands, no additionnal proper cleaning. I couldn't be given a new room as they said they were fully booked. The day after, the cleaning staff didn't even bother making the bed completely, a 1/3 of the duvet was on the floor and the pillows were on the chair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a comfort room and I wonder how is the standard one as I was disappointed with the Comfort, supposedly bigger and nicer. The room was quite small, the bathroom is old. The bedrooms look much better on the hotel webiste than in reality!!!! I would have never booked it if I knew all this before especially at that expensive price!!

Excellent location in a nice, safe area of Paris. 2-3Mins walk to the metro station. Near several excellent restaurants, bars, supermarkets, patisseries very nearby. View of Eiffel Tower from our window. Staff were great at advising places to eat/go /giving directions. Room was clean and shower was good.

The room was quite small, however not so much so that it spoiled our stay as we were out sightseeing most of the time.

The pictures on booking make the rooms look big, this is not the case the room was very small. The bed had a huge divet in it so it was uncomfortable. The elevator broke while my wife was in it. So she was stuck for over 30 mins. When I told the lady at the front desk that my wife was stuck in the elevator she finished checking out another couple instead of calling to have it fixed. This is why I gave the hotel staff a poor rating. I would defiantly never stay at this hotel again.

Location!!

The val girard is a great hotel, my wife, myself and our two teenagers stayed for three nights. 90% of the staff were very helpful and friendly, the rooms are very gd though I would reccomend comfort rooms to standard just a little bigger, all rooms are well finished and clean. I would definitely stay here again next time I visit Paris!!!!!!!!! 25 min walk to the Eiffel tower excellent location:)

One of the staff needs training in customer relations, don't use the lift!!!! One tea bag per person per day??? Didn't have breakfast so can't comment.

Good location, non-crowded area even quite close to Place Montparnasse. Quick access to Metropolitan Station Vaugirard.

Elevator out of order right during my stay. Five floors to climb every day (multiple times).
