Excellent location;right beside the centre of town, but tucked away in a corner to give peace and quiet. Comfortable, homely atmosphere. Excellent breakfast beside the river Arve. Facilities are modern and very comfortable. Best of all are the staff, who are very welcoming, friendly and helpful - really made me feel at home. I look forward to staying there again. Ten out of ten!
The staff was very friendly. It is perfectly located near the center of town, next to the river which gives it a nice tranquility.
We were surprised that our room on the first floor overlooked the river and it was so cool to hear the river rushing by during the night as we slept. The room was very nice. Parking was very convenient - just across the street from the hotel.
Breakfast was not included in the rate and we had to pay extra. We knew this beforehand but it would have been nice for breakfast to be included in the rate.
Central location which is easy to access to transport link and shops. Room was clean and comfortable, and Wi-Fi network was good as well.
The room has a mini bar but don't know why the fridge was not working at all. The hotel is located in central Chamonix area so it was a bit noisy during the day and evening.
Location, close to everything. Nice staff.
Noise from river. Little hard to sleep.
The location of the hotel was great and we loved going to sleep listening to the roar of the river below. The hotel was very rustic but comfortable. The gentleman behind the front desk was an absolute pleasure.Breakfast was decent, our 3 kids ate for free so that was a bonus
I felt the stuff would make my any wish true. Really welcoming and helpful. Room was really nice, clean and quiet. Both English and French spoken. Location can't be better.
Didn't try the breakfast or hotel pub.
We really liked the staff who were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our room was lovely and light and looked out over the rushing river - but with the windows shut it was very quiet. The bathroom was bright, modern and clean with good quality towels and body wash. It is an easy walk into town and the Italian restaurant just down the road was our favourite! If we return to Chamonix we would definitely stay there again!
central location, strong shower and modern decor
cheap, uncomfortable bed, broken room safe, not so helpful reception when asking for tourist information
Thought this place was great value for money (give then rate we paid), good location and rooms were all newly redone including bathrooms. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was nice.
We got a great deal on the room as they had just renovated and were building up clientele, I suspect they will soon be raising prices in which case the value for money won't be as great.
Close walk to train station. People stop to take picture in front of hotel. That's how pretty it is, with the water and flowers and mountains. Close to all restaurants as its a small town. Clean. Has elevator. I got the room with small balcony facing mountain, Auguille du Midi. Wonderful to wake up to such view everyday or gaze at during day and night time. Walking distance to both ski lifts which was convenient coz I went paragliding from both places. Owner and staff were very helpful and spoke perfect English, eg I asked if they turned heater on at night - he gave me electric heater in case I was cold during day; asked for hot water - he gave me electric kettle. I normally don't have breakfast at hotels but the breakfast here was good and worth the price as I needed it before my paragliding: good tasting ham, breads, croissants, I think they had waffles or pancakes, eggs, bacon, juices, yogurt, fruits, etc.
Nothing serious. Fridge was not very cold but not a problem because they let me keep my drinks in hotel fridge. Bathroom drain not so fast but probably easily fixed but I didn't let them in to do so :)
Just about the best location you can get in Chamonix. Refurbished, friendly staff and excellent value. Highly recommended.
That we couldn't stay longer!
Location. Very nice staff. Just renovated, good standard.
Room a bit on the small side. Only French TV channels.
Location,comfort ,clean,breakfast ,service.
We liked everything about the hotel, perfect location with nice views and the facilities were excellent. The rooms have been refurbished, modern, very comfortable with an excellent bathroom. Would definitely stay there again !
Probably the best location to stay in Chamonix. We got a clean, beautiful room with a river view.
Wi-Fi in the room wasn't that great.
Excellent service from staff! Perfect location
The location next to the river, and just an easy walk from everything (lift to the Mont Blanc, main shops/restaurants, train station, chapel): perfect! Loved hearing the sound of the river at night and the overall quiet otherwise. Generous and fresh-cooked breakfast for the price. Room size also spacious.
Friendly, helpful staff. Newly renovated room. Central location, steps from the main village, but on the other side of the Arve River on a quiet street.
Breakfast coffee was awful.
Great location and the staff were very friendly and were helpful in every possible way. The bed was very comfortable and once the window was open the room was a more comfortable temperature. We were very happy here.
No negative comments.
The location, the space in the room, the view
The employees were most cheerful and helpful. They were sincere about wanting guests to have a pleasant stay.
Appearance of common areas was quite in need of a facelift.
The hotel was charming and newly renovated, on a quiet side street,1/4 of a block from the main area of town. Staff spoke English, and they had parking across the street,
Room was a little small, but comfortable.
the reception by staff The lift. The calm atmosphere. The view from my window. The bed. The breakfast.
