excellent owners, lovely room, junior suite, in an excellent position, great "organic breakfast". Unbeatable price

renovation work ongoing but did not unduly disturb us.

The special attention to our comfort, eg the warmed coffee cups at breakfast and little easter eggs on easter sunday. Our hosts were absolutely charming and we felt well looked-after. the location was very central to the train station and centre-ville.

Lovely decorated and comfortable room. Next to the main street of the city.

The stairs to the room are really narrow and steep. No lift. Be careful if you have big luggage. The old gentleman at the reception was nice but doesn't speak English at all...

Cramped shower room and slightly claustrophobic feeling because of works to the stone outside. Whole building covered and so no windows open and no light! Breakfast is poor value.

For the price paid for 2 people for 3 nights you cant complain. Also easy walk to main areas of tours centre, and located in a quiet road.

The breakfast was only toast, one glass of fruit juice, and one pot of coffee. There are no tea or coffee facilities in the rooms.

Friendly staff, though we were checking in late. Great location, close to city center, yet complete silence during the night.

hotel manager was very friendly and helpful . He gave us very good directions back to the airport with the car .Great location plenty of shops bars and restaurants .Great for sight seeing and places to go we were only there overnight which was a pity because there is so much to do and the French people were so polite .Definatly go back to the Vendome for maybe a few nights or so next year.

Run by a very nice, slightly elderly couple who bickers in a fun way (for me at least) constantly. The bathroom was excellent, the bed was fairly comfortable.

No elevator, very old, no A/C and a good portion was being renovated.

The family owners are very relaxed and easy going. Coming and going was no problem at any time as a code was provided and the surrounding streets feel very safe. The building is lovely and our room had a balcony and was simply furnished in period French style, including a large marble fireplace!

A tiny point - the bathroom light is on a movement sensor so you can't make a sneaky trip to the bathroom in the dark !

Several issues. The hotel was half way through some sort of DIY renovation, a real mess.Our room (6) is the smallest and the bathroom is behind a louvre door in the corner of the room. The breakfast was the worst of our trip. Stale buns, no french stick, only conserve ,no cheese, no ham.

Staff friendly but the only person that spoke English was seldom there.

If you are considering the "Jr. Suite" on the third floor, be either very fit or young. There are 51 narrow stair steps.

A little hard to find. But once knocked, you will be warmly receptionned. Each room has its concept like Versailles, Japan, Africa, etc., and this is successful. Only weak point is the lack of elevator if you have a luggage of more than 25kg...I'm sure I will be back with my family for another weekend tour.
