The location of the hotel is excellent. The size is small not like huge hotels where you feel like a raileway station. The room was too small.

The room layout and size were good. The staff were courteous. The location was excellent Heating in room was broke, had to change rooms. No plug adaptor available. It took four attempts at asking before I got an answer informing me that none were available. Knob missing from a chest of draws. Made the room appear low grade. Strange noise apparent all night. One tap barely worked. Hotel restaurant prices were excessive considering there was another restaurant across the road at a fraction of the price. Breakfast wasn't included in the price.

Lovely building, excellent staff, first class service and a dining room glass dome ceiling that must not be missed. €20 for a croissant and coffee breakfast per person is a bit steep!!

Location, location, location!! I have been to Paris too many times to count, and this is by far the best hotel I have stayed in. not only is it behind the public drugstore on champs Elysee's, it is 200 m from the arc and metro. the price may be a little expensive, but all relative to hotels in the area. the staff were really helpful as well. Would have loved to have had a kettle in the room.

The Vernet has always had immense charm because of it's compact size and excellent location. In the heart of everything but quiet. I was also very happy with the more rare and good classical style of the furniture and interiors. The staff have always been and still are wonderful. Regrettably, Someone had the idea that the Interiors needed updating but they did it in the wrong way. The exquisite architecture of the dining room has been turned into a part of Gare du Nord with over bright lights. When Updating Classical buildings, the past should always be respected and good lighting added with eclectic touches like fine and quirky modern art etc.. The bedrooms were similarly dealt with but more successful because their style was simpler to start with. My bedroom 607 was OK but the bathroom had no heating and was freezing.

Great location, to all major tourist spots all within walking distance. Nice places to eat nearby with the children. I booked the room and requested an extra bed my two younger children usually sleep in the big bed with us. Upon arriving at the hotel they told us our party was 5 and that the room only holds 3 - never ever had this issue before in France. They gave us another room, but the children were to be in another room "nearby" no way so they gave us the suite on the special price. The room is old and needs decorating, and is quite run down. But we appreciate the staff doing what they could for us. It says the parking is on site, this isn't true and they park your car for you "not far away" so if you are coming a long way and have a packed car as we did it's a bit of a nightmare as you have to unloaded everything you think you might need because once the car has gone, it's gone! We didn't have breakfast there as it seemed excessively priced!

Right in the centre of Paris, extremely pleasant and helpful staff. clean warm and quiet room, Champagne on arrival. Very good value considering location and the fact you have the best shopping on your doorstep. Tasteful and sympathetic decor throughout in keeping with the period of the property - looks like it has been refurbed not too long ago. The 20 Euro breakfast was a bit bland - it was just wholesale croissants, pain 0 chocolat and bread and orange tea and coffee etc - not good for someone who eats gluten free. There is a 30 Euro option for proteins but it would be better just to offer split price A la carte options, nice breakfast room but there's so many other places to eat very nearby that offer a better selection. A lick of paint round the bottom of door frames in the bathroom needed in places but generally the cleanliness is very very good - housekeeping excellent. these are the only reasons for scoring lower points.

The hotel provided us with a perfect base to explore Paris. It has A Parisien boutique feel which is a must when in Paris. Literally 2 minutes walk to L'arc de Triomphe and great restaurants on the Champs Élysées. Also the staff were excellent and very friendly. We had 2 youngs kids (aged 7 and 4) who absolutely loved it!! Will definitely go back! Limited in house dining menu, but we understand that it was the summer and it is not specific to the hotel.

The Hotel Vernet is a lovely boutique hotel located just a block above the Champ and the Arc d Triumph, offering convenient access to shopping and dining. The staff is personable and willing to help when asked for assistance. Lionel, one of the concierges secured our train reservations for Bayeux. He also looked into other day trips we inquired about and was always helpful when asked for assistance. The hotel is clean, updated, has wifi (although sporadic), the rooms are large compared to many Parisian accommodations. Hair dryer, lighted makeup mirror, safe, shower, counter space in the bathroom, walk in closet......YES Walk in closet!!! We were greeted with a bottle of wine.....delicious! No view and very noisy on the street side. Ask for a room on 4,5 or 6. wifi is very sporadic to non existent most of the time. The keyboard in the hotel lobby is a different layout than the ones in the states. Took me forever to figure out why my login password wasn't working! The rooms need some tlc, our bathroom tub was in need of repair, the bathroom door wouldn't close because of so many layers of paint on the door. We were 3 people in the room and the housekeeping service did not replenish the room with 3 of everything. We always had to call for additional items. We ran out of toilet paper......no excuse for that! When we arrived there were platters of apples on each floor in the hallway. After the first day and the following 3 days there were no apples. Finally on the day we checked out, someone put more apples out! We really wanted to love this place but it fell a little short. It has the potential to be a much better hotel. With more attention to detail, service and state of repair it could be. All in all, I would still recommend a stay there as the location for the Champs is excellent!
