Pau Riba concert. The Saturday Market was Huge! 1 Euro Bus.
Really quaint and old fashioned hotel. The setting is lovely and the place is very clean. While my French is terrible and the lady had no English, she was a great communicator and full of smiles and hand signals. A very homely and peaceful place.
Might be a little too old fashioned for some who prefer a modern hotel. Rooms are quite small. There is no wifi however there is a bureau with a computer and internet which was really nice and private.
Lovely friendly staff;view from room
Ambience, loved loved the restaurant meal. One of best meals I've ever had and so reasonably priced. Staff very friendly and helpful, location fantastic...right in the centre of everything happening in Ceret. Historic nature of the hotel made it special.
Checking in at 6 pm rather difficult as too late.
Ambiance galore, especially the grape arbored terrace where breakfast was served. Directions could be simplified by directing to restaurant lst and immediate right turn and again a right. better than internet map directions
absence of a/c though fan helped immensely
Terrace Restaurant superb
Parking some distance away
Room quirky but comfortable. Nice bathroom. Good restaurant but not cheap. Good service.
Like most people we had travelled a long way and arrived in the village about 4pm. only to find hotel closed. People should also be aware that it is a nightmare of a town to park and get access to as it is either one way or pedestrianised. Also difficult to find!
Small room. Uneven floor level
Character and great food!!
The location was fantastic, right in the middle of the village. The Hotel was gorgeous our room was beautifully set out with antique furniture and unique art work. There were two balconies with the authentic double French shutters where we could look down onto the street. This was even more entertaining when the Saturday markets took place. The bathroom was large and modern. The restaurant served lovely meals. Most of the staff were friendly and tried to help even when they couldn't speak English.
The breakfast consisted of bread and 2 croissants in a basket served with jam and a cup of tea or coffee.Felt at a disadvantage not speaking the language. It was hot when we were there and there was only a portable fan in the room which made sleeping uncomfortable some nights.
Location in the centre of Ceret Decent restaurant on site
Carrying bags up the stairs Difficulty parking on market day

Check-in arrangements. If you're not there by 12noon you can't get in until 6pm. They say on the web that you should inform them. I did. They simply wrote back (too late for me to avoid a cancellation fee) saying check in was not until open 6pm. Restaurant I rang down to book a table and told it was closed. On the web it says it is open daily in July and August.
Value for money with charming true French experience. Fantastic location in a very interesting town. Restaurant was excellent and hotel staff lovely.
If you like a boring French hotel chain then don't go here.
Breakfast was poor value, not worth €8
Attractive and good friendly service.
Food standard was not up to expectations, poor flavour, ingredients and value for money. The first courses were obviously already on freezing cold plates in the fridge. Arrived too cold to taste anything! Although we were almost the first to arrive for dinner they had already run out of the main course dish we both wanted when we placed our orders.
Friendly and efficient staff in an atmospheric old hotel in a lovely old part of the city
Quaint, typical, small French Hotel
Wonderful town with lovely atmosphere. Hotel is romantic with its terrace in green. Very nice and complaisant young stuff. very good cooking and wine. Evening and breakfast on the terrace we like to remember.
The room is relatively small, not vry comfortable.
We have stayed here before and this time we stayed in the Superior Suite. Well worth the extra. Staff are always friendly. All the rooms are clean and comfortable. We love Ceret and always stay at the Hotel Vidal.
Nothing to dislike
The young man at reception was charming & very helpful. The hotel has an appealing 'shabby chic' vibe, with some stylish flourishes. Nice grape-vine covered terrace balcony for breakfasting on. Very central location.
Room was inexpensive, but really far too small to be described as a double - it was a small single room size, at best. Felt incredibly poky & claustrophobic. No shampoos or bottled supplied.
Charming Hotel in Fabulous location. Ceret is just lovely. Friendly family run business. We did not eat in the restaurant this time but have done so before and it is a great experience. Rooms are clean with a quirky charm. We booked a triple room which actually had 2 double beds and was a great space. Plenty of hot hot water. We have stayed before and will stay again. Highly recommended.
Nothing to dislike ...... A hair dryer would have been good but not a problem. Next time I'll remember to take mine.
This is a family run establishment offering a truly French village experience. This quirky hotel is what we were looking for-no bad taste 80's renovation here. The restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful while the atmosphere reflects the artistic history of ceret with the pictures and prints. It has an excellent and popular restaurant.
the place and rest. El Bisbe
bathroom far to little
Everything, it was fabulous. A delightful, traditional French hotel in the centre of a lovely town. Not a 'formula' hotel. Staff were ultra pleasant and took a pride in their hotel.
