Villa Du Maine

This was my second stay at that hotel, I chose it again and I was not disappointed. It is not in the downtown, but has a rather convenient location close (10' walk) to Alesia metro in a very quiet street. Yes, the room was rather small but that was not so important for a business "stop and go" in Paris. More important were the friendly staff, a clean room, and free wifi (but only in the lobby). All things considered, a very good value for money.

Only French channel on the tv (which btw is fixed on the wall in such a way that vision is far from optimal when you're lying on the bed). I would have also appreciated an additional blanket as heating seemed to be turned off late at night.

Only 4 stops from Paris Expo by tram. From CDG airport Train/B to Cite uni and took Tram is OK. English speaking, Many cafe and restaurant. Nearest bus stop few minis walk. take No58 bus to Chatlett only 20minis. Value for Money;)

Noise of next room and peaple walk down steps. Bed was not good. But only one night was OK.

Reception was extremely helpful in planning transport and providing advice about what is best to see in Paris.

I liked its cost, its breakfasts, its location, the friendliness of its staff and its quietness particularly overnight

Excellent room service, no problems communicating in English, comfortable room (stayed in one person room, I don't know about the other types). It's easy to find if you have a map. Seems to be placed in a safe location with plenty of mostly food shops around.

The lights in the room were dim. Not exactly close to metro, but the station is reachable within about 10 minutes.

Close to restaurants. You can request a shuttle bus to CDG airport. Our flight was at 11:25 in the morning. We ordered bus for 8 o'clock. But they said it will be in the hotel at 8:15 as the driver would also take some other customers from other hotels. The bus arrived about 8: 40. We were the first customers. We arrived to airport at 10:05. If you want to use this service, please be aware that the driver can be late and there may be a traffic; so, although it is said as the duration is 1 hour, consider it as 2 hours. If you are 3 or more people it is better to take a taxi. Please be aware that there is no lift on many metro stations and do not choose train if you have a heavy luggage. By the way, you should order your shuttle bus tickets in the working hours.

Rooms are not so clean. You should bring your own shampoo because what the hotel gives is very small and has a very bad smell. You should walk 10 minutes or more to metro station (depends on your speed). The hotel is close to Alesia station - line 4. (i haven't tried but also Plaisance station on line 13 was told as other choise). The hotels on short distance to metro stations should be your first choice if you visit Paris as a tourist. You can choose this hotel if you have a limited budget or appointment/job in Montparnasse area.

nice and helpful staff; the area where the hotel locates in is good and safe

The hotel is not so close to the metro station as I had expected, and difficult to find if you are not familiar with that area. The electricity broke down during the first night we moved in, so on the second day we had to move out. But the staff is really nice. They helped us for finding a new hotel.

Hotel's staff are very kind and friendly. I can't speak French. but, I could communicate to staff with English.

You should bring the map, if you will visit the hotel. (location is difficult) but, I felt this hotel's location is good and safety.

夜も静かで過ごしやすかったです。レセプションも２４時間対応なので、朝早くにチェックアウトするのも可能- でした。

駅から遠かったです。スーツケースを持っていたのですが大変だった・・・。夜はちょっと1人では歩き回りた- くない感じです。
