Villa Les Orangers

The family that run this hotel are extremely helpful & friendly. The limited typically Corsican menu was delicious and the outlook from the dining room amazing.

It is difficult with anything but a small car to park immediately outside the hotel but, not immediately obvious, the parking on the opposite side of the main road is actually two storeys so if full at road level, there is space above.

We particularly liked the friendliness of the couple who owned the Villa. They had opened it earlier in the summer but by mid-October when we passed through the restaurant was closed. We ate elsewhere in the town but it would have been nice to eat 'at home'. We came back for a final night before we took the boat home from Ajaccio to find the keys waiting on the desk for us and were told on the final morning there was no need for us to hurry although our hosts were off to Porto Vecchio to watch their son play football. They simply left the house open for us. This made for a very nice relaxed atmosphere.

The only improvement would have been some cheese and/or ham for breakfast. There were plenty of sweet alternatives including home made apple cake.

Zero English spoken - this should have been mentioned in the description - we would have opt for another hotel. Really difficult to arrange anything, luckily the maid spoke some English and did the interpreting for us. Our room No 5 was located over the restaurant - noise in the evenings between 8-10 p.m. children could get no sleep. Overpriced meals at the restaurant, e.g. very simple breakfast for EUR 8 each. Washing machine - EUR 5 per one washing. No fridge in the room, no kettle to make a coffee.

Magnifique! The familly that run the hotel are just so pleasant, you are very well taken care off, and the food was delicious. Beautiful views, and the rooms we had where great! Enchante!

First of all the scenery was charming and the food was great. Also the personnel was greetfull.

Being two couples, we shared two bedrooms, the washroom was not so private.

We liked almost everything of this place. The location and views from the room and the dinner terrace are fantastic, the room is well appointed and has a lot of charm [we stayed in the suite]. The breakfast is good and the owners friendly and helpful. Olmeto is a small town away from the traffic but very closed to good beach and a larger town too. We were positively surprised by the availability of a restaurant where we had dinner twice at very good price and quality enjoying the sunset too.

More information about parking could be useful. Olmeto is an old town not build for cars but has public parking sites either sides of it, one being just few steps from the hotel. As we did not know we had to negotiate the small lane to get the the hotel! But we worked this out on day two, so a very small issue for a great place to stay.

Beautiful location a few minutes from the beaches in Propriano yet in a mountainy decor. Great hotel, beautifully designed by great people. The lady owner looked after us through a fantastic dinner cooked by her great chef and husband, gourmet food and at fantastically reasonable price. I highly recommend. Make sure you don't miss the entrance as it is a slightly tricky place to access as the stay was well worth it.

The venue needs to indicate the access to their carpark more but having said that, a "difficult to get to" venue can also be so special. We loved it utterly !

Simple but comfortable room. Great patio setting for outside breakfast. Discrete and friendly owner/staff. Olmetto is a nice break from crowded seaside resorts in southern Corsica and yet only minutes away from beach, mountain hikes and prehistoric sites.

Nothing was bad but make sure you discuss the parking situation ahead, especially if you drive anything bigger than a compact car.

A splendid, newly renovated Villa on the hillside. Very kind owner-couple with a heart for Motorcyclists. Fantastic Room with great interieur.

Chambre vraiment très belle et décorée avec beaucoup de goût.

La gentillesse des propriétaires. La suite spacieuse meublée avec goût avec vue sur la montagne. Un petit déjeuner copieux avec des produits maison ainsi qu'un menu avec des spécialités corses. Et bientôt une piscine ! nous a-t-on dit. Nous reviendrons !

je suggerais un petit frigo dans la chambre.

La très belle terrasse sur laquelle on prend au soleil,un petit déjeuner succulent: très bons produits comme chez soi.

La difficulté pour accéder à la villa Quand nous sommes arrivés dans l'après midi en reconnaissance des lieux seulement il n'y avait qu'une employée ne parlant pas français. Nous sommes arrivés à 21 H 30 c'était le désert mais notre clé posée sur le comptoir d'accueil. C'est relativement cher pour une maison d'hôtes

si vous passez par olmeto n'hesitez pas vous en garderez un superbe souvenir nous avons ete reçu comme si nous etions des amis de longue date nous reviendrons (joseph à la cuisine: toute la gastronomie corse)

Le site et la vue sur les montagnes sont agréables. La villa est calme, bien tenue et bien décorée dans les parties communes (hall, salle à manger) . Les petits déjeuners sont copieux et bons.

L'acces est très difficile, interdit à toute personne ayant quelques difficultés pour marcher. l'accueil est inexistant!!! l'ensemble est froid et sans âme la chambre "suite" est décevante car meubles dépareillés et salle de bain et toilette dans un petit espace. sur 3 chambres, il n'y en a qu'une qui soit agréable.

TOUT tout était parfait chambre très belle avec une odeur merveilleuse dès qu'on franchit la porte.La cuisine excellante , je vous recommande la soupe corse et les pattes aux gambas un régal.Nous y retournerons sans hésiter.

L'ACCUEIL et l'amabilité du couple qui tient la maison et le papa qui donne pleins de bons tuyaux pour visiter cette si belle région.La cuisine est excellente et préparée avec amour par le mari qui tient ses recettes de sa maman. Nous y reviendrons c'est sur c'est vraiment un coup de coeur à recommander en plus ma fille de 16 ans était enchantée de découvrir un site et ces gents si amoureux de leur ile.

Nous n'avons aucune critique à faire car nous avons adoré notre séjour dans cette magnifique maison, en revanche si les petits dej avaient été compris dans le prix de la nuit,nous aurions volontier déjeuner sur place. Attention ne prenez pas ça pour une critique!!!
