Loved the serenity and staff the best.
The rooms are very stylish, the whole building very light and modern. Having a pool in the garden, in such a location was a bonus, and invigorated us after our long drive. Great view from room and would have like to stay longer to try the Spa... Next Time
Very little... The car park is small...but on street parking looks safe.. good neighbourhood. The pillows are rather peculiar compared to out English ones... but if you master the technique... they work:-)
Would recommend it ... Excellent value for money
Quality of service and hospitality. Quiet environment. Friendly staff. Wonderful rooms. Excpetionnal breakfast. The teddybears!
Spa closes early at 8 PM,
it's in a beautiful residential area but still able to walk into main area the staff is amazing - always willing to help great rooms
the welcome, at this place was great, and the subsequent care, especially by Pauline, was just wonderful.but everyone was most, accueillant, the place was clean the room great by any standards, and the breakfast, of great quality.also the spa, small but very nice and the care ,counsel, and massage,by the young women there, most pleasant.this place is a little pearl, in a quiet neighborhood,to be highly recomended.bravo, any time again.cv.switzerland
very nice room.. recently updated. great shower. nice breakfast. great service.
The location was great for us this time - being in Strasbourg before, we didn't wanted to stay in centre again, but rather in nicer area a bit on walk-able distance. This worked great - nice residential area next to wonderful park. No issues with car parking - plenty space on the streets near by, however I believe hotel shall clear state that on the site ("free public parking" instead of "free parking" onsite). Upon arrival we were advised to upgrade for a little extra to a very spacious room with outside terrace, so that we did and no regret. Superb cosmetics in bathroom, even specially bought the shower gel for own house when leaving. Free wi-fi was appreciated too. Haven't tried Spa (too little time) neither the outside pool (was raining). Receptionists were always great, friendly, did a restaurant booking for us and spoke good English.
Other than reception, no much English speaking. The massive disappointment was breakfast - arriving there a 9:30am we found almost no food available any more. Very little or no refill either. No English speaking service on breakfast - while asked for a help with eggs to boil, I got a scrambled eggs instead a few min later.. So, a bit of bread, a different eggs and coffee - all that experience which you have to pay 22 eur per person..terrible. Overall - would recommend with clear caution on breakfast and parking.. Probably may stay again if again in Strasbourg, but would go for a breakfast to the cafe in nearby park.
What I have really appreciated the cleanliness of the hotel, the space of the rooms, nicely decorated, and very complete and impeccably clean toilets, anything to say about that. The other thing I want to emphasize is that the owner saw us looking at her garden and then came to talk to us have to admit that is a very nice gesture on her part, and we were talking about her garden. I also want to note that the hotel is in a very elegant and very quiet quartier and the personal at the reception was exremely nice too.
When we arrived at the hotel we were given two rooms that was on the fourth floor (but the elevator only went to the third floor) and then climbed a spiral staircase rather complicated. We could not take that room because the person who was with us has sciatica and osteoarthritis and was therefore very difficult that she could be going up and down the stairs. So before getting into the room when we saw the situation immediately requested to give her another room, the hotel was not full, it had 30 rooms and when we booked two days before arriving there were still 15 free rooms, then ordered another room and got one more expensive alleging that they had no single rooms, and this caused us displeasure, because it was not a matter of whim simply because there was a person who was not able to go up and down the stairs. To that end I would say that the room she was given was not a simple room it was a double room and had to pay 40 euros a day for 2 nights. I think it is a special situation and the hotel shouldn't have taken an extra supplement. And the second thing I want to say that in France someone can pay for a lunch 22 euros which is the price they charge for breakfast, too expensive.
The staff were very friendly and polite. The room was very comfortable and had a big bathroom. The outside facilitaties were amazing! The pool was very clean and it all looked very well kept.
The breakfast is too expensive, we ate out. We didnt try it so I cant say what the food was like. It looked nice though.
Great staff, located near a beautiful park. We rented bikes and enjoyed easy biking to downtown, restaurants and EU buildings.
staff was very friendly. pool was nice. room with balcony was very pretty and comfortable. location quiet area new to great park, 10-15 min city center and 5 min to european institutions
Our room was extremely well designed and comfortable. Loved the feel of openness with the glass walls. Bathrooms are top notch. The location is perfect. Having the bikes for hire in the hotel itself is a BRILLIANT facility.
1) Breakfast is poorly managed: food display is incredibly unattractive, dried out hams and cheeses, petit pain au chocolat and croissant are XXL-sized (far to big to allow you to eat anything else and frankly more like what you would expect on a supermarket display), one knife only to cut the breads AND the 3 or 4 cakes (bizarre!), service mediocre, environment bleak. Yet, the actual choices are rather good. 2) missed not having hair conditioner in the bathroom 3) the hotel did not have and could not provide a kettle which is frankly unheard of for in a 4star hotel, so we bought our own. 4) not geared up for international travelers: the hotel information is in French only, there are only 2 French newspapers 5) the reception & public area's deco is "confused" by the surprising sales displays (of beauty products, stuffed animals, food stuff). NO CLASS! The interior decorator would cringe if he/her saw what has been done to the original theme.
good location for my need.
Professional staff, great comfort and spotless clean.
Room temperature too hot as airco too complicated to structurally change and standard program too warm
Location Facilities Friendly et helpful staff
Breakfast is far too expensive for what it is but the staff especially in the restaurant very pleasant with it.
The location is superb, close to the park and the city. The staff is very friendly. Nice restaurant recommendations and assistance during our stay.
First we were shown a very simple room next to the reception (looked quite different from those on pictures) and then immediately we were offered to upgrade to a better room (which was really nice and looked like the ones on the pictures). Seemed like a planned procedure though.
The staff was extremely helpfull and friendly. Top notch breakfast although a little bit expensive. Beautiful rooms and very comfortable beds. Great place!
What a real gem of a hotel. Everything top quality and the staff really go out of their way to make your stay a pleasure. I will definitely use this hotel again.
Breakfast at €22 is steep but with top quality ingrediants.
This is a wonderful Hotel, one of the best experiences I have had in Europe. The staff provide a superior experience with wonderful, warm service. The breakfast was among the best I have had anywhere and the entire facility is immaculate. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return.
Hotel is situated in good quite location close to European institutions. Personnel is friendly, rooms are clean and have everything necessary. Free WiFi with good quality. Swimming pool, spa facilities are available.
No restaurant in hotel but closely located restaurants were advised. Breakfast is a bit expensive. Number of mistakes made by personnel in bills, was corrected with excuses immediately. But it is advisable to check your bills
fantastic hotel, great service with beautiful vintage design furnitures, by le Corbursier, or in the spa where you can relax on a charlotte perriand or an andré putman sofa ! next to the european institutions. good organic breakfast
Clean, big room, very nice bathroom.
Breakfast very expensive 22 EUR pp. Not well isolated floor.
An outstanding hotel in every way! A little bit out of the city center, so it's a good walk. But the trade off is that it's location is in a very nice residential area. We really loved it here!
Decoration, breakfast, staff, ambience
More effort could be put to toiletries- for such a hotel they were scarce
